After searching the web for a local chinese restaurant I happeded by Dynasty. Found a web site with their menu and phoned it in. Upon arrival the bill was significantly different from the web prices. I asked the employee behind the counter she smiled and laughed. A gentlemen was next to her and he said the web site needed updating and he was sorry. After a discussion about fairness in which both employees thought an unhappy customer was funny I took my food after paying of course and left. Unfortunately the food was notup to par. The pork chow fun was excessively greasy, the prawn egg foo yong had 4 prawns in the sauce the congealed around a very small pancake and the chicken salad did not have any dressing. A mediocre meal at an excessive price. As a business owner I know the importance of an accurate web site I wish these folks would realize it too.

I was a fan of this restaurant and they just lost my business. I realize now that it was just the convenience of the delivery and that the food was mediocre which I settled for after a long day but not anymore. Today I waited an hour and fifteen minutes for COLD food to be delivered. The woman on the phone was incredibly rude and told me to return the food if I didnt want it. I expressed to her that I was a long time customer and had never had an experience like this but her attitude was making me want to never order from them again. The food is on the door stoop and they are now coming get it. Never again. It sucked anyways. Too small of a town to have such a crappy attitude and to treat others like that. Ill gladly give my money to someone else. NO STARS

Theres a lot of Chinese food out there (and Ive tried a lot of it), and I certainly cant vouch for authenticity, but my favorite in Santa Cruz is Dynasty Restaurant. I go to a Chinese restaurant for what I consider the "staples," not the fancy stuff: I like my hot & sour soup, pot stickers, chow mein, and saucy meat dishes. The variety on the menu is large, and the sauces are diverse and universally excellent. They even have the occasional exotic item, like the zilan lamb. On weekends, they also offer a dim-sum lunch, which has never let me down. If youre in the area and want some Chinese food, give it a try. In fact, Im about to order a dinner special...

They cut their barbecue pork in the most unappealing and unappetizing manner order delivery of sweet and sour chicken and a few other things they forgot the sweet and sour sauce and then upon calling them their reply was to come back and pick up

Love this place. EASY access and parking for my handicapped mom. Always excellent food. But what is really outstanding are the lovely people who work there. Truly good hearted, courteous and eager to make the dining experience outstanding.

I just had the very worst Chinese food Ive ever eaten. The meat was cooked possibly days before--horrid. The noodles were burned and very oily. The veggies were just average and over priced. I dond recommend this place. Jamie

This is our familys favorite Chinese restaurant, especially since the Pearl closed. In my opinion, they have some of the best Chinese food in town, including some original dishes you cant find anywhere else.
