We ordered some take out, we found out from the receipt that one of the items was wrong, we asked them to change it immediately. Instead of changing it, they argue that we made the wrong order and made the comment we dont "Speak English". This is outrageous comment, we demanded to talk to the manager "Nick" and request a simple apology. The manager instead of handling the situation, he tried to argue. The customer behind us heard the whole conversation and tell the manager of the inappropriate behavior of his employee. But instead, he keeps denying. We do not feel comfortable having food from them and said we do not want the order. But the manager said they cannot refund us.... even the food is not delivered to us. We do not want their food either. I do not know about the taste of their food, but given there is no service and no confident that they can sell their "undeliver clam chowder" to the next customer.... I feel making the right decision not taking their food all together.

I came here with some friends while we were enjoying a mini getaway to Santa Cruz, away from the big city. Its conveniently located at the end of the pier with a view of the ocean. I would have preferred to do take out and then use the picnic tables they provide, but my group opted to dine in instead. We sat outside on the patio where the tables were (luckily) shielded with umbrellas. I had the clam chowder in a bread bowl, which was larger than expected and tasted pretty good, but there wasnt really anything extraordinary about it. The staff was friendly enough, but not very attentive. I found it very difficult to get the servers attention for everything - like ordering, water refills, and eventually the bill. Overall, the experience was okay, but I think Ill try something different the next time Im in the area.

First off, the young hostess and two other young workers were sitting eating food at a table rather than doing there actual job, when people were waiting to be seated another employees asked them if they were on there break they responded with no! Once we were seated we sat for at least 15 mins with no greeting by any server, our drink order was never taken. It was not busy and other tables in our area had no server in sight as well. Needless to say we got up and walked out. We used to like this place but we will never come back again. We went next door to Stagnaro Bros and had excellent service.

The location and the French fries were the only saving graces of our experience this afternoon. Sat down to a late lunch on the patio. Waitress did not wipe down our table even though pigeons were everywhere and table was very covered in a fine dust and feather pieces. Wait staff was okay but real disappointment was the food. Ordered fish and chips and have to say the worst I have ever had. This is saying a lot since I have grown up on the ocean. Fish tasted old and smelled awful. Couldnt finish my food. Rivas has much better fish and chips and they are just down the way.

The clam chowder was out of sight! The fish and chips and calamari were great. The service left a good deal to be desired. We had a group of 7 (2 adults and 5 kids, one of whom was asleep). We saw the server upon ordering, when she brought the food, and when I had to flag her down for the bill. The restaurant was less than half full. On top of that, she automatically got a 15% tip because our group was 6 or greater. Your best bet would be to order from the window and sit @ the picnic tables outside.

The Dolphin always comes through with good food great service and delightful scenery. Seen as a walk up restaurant, for which it is highly praised, many dont realize it has fine cuisine as well. I had the salmon last night and it was superior, no place on the Wharff could have done better. The Dolphin looks tiny but it is larger than you think. The clam chowder is the finest on the Wharff, bar none. The Dolphin is a place worth finding. Many have great names but if you want great food the Dolphin is it!

I will never eat here again. The food is all deep fried and nothing is fresh. On my way to use the restroom I say the cooks open a large can of calm chowder so your paying a lot for something out of a can. Almost everything on the menu is cooked in oil, so I would say save your money and go get a burger and fries since its a third of the price and tastes so much better. The only thing going for them is the view being at the end of the pier, however the rating is based on food alone.

2015年8月訪問 普通のレストランです。桟橋の一番先端にあるので眺めがよくオープンなので人気があります。テイクアウトの販売もあり手軽にチャウダー、フィッシュアンドチップス等が頂けます。

My wife and I come here all the time! We always come for breakfast! They have fresh squeezed oranges juice and we order the eggs Benedict and add pulled pork. Delicious!! Weve also had the huevos rancheros and they are amazing also. Ive also tried the mimosas and they are awesome!! I totally recommend Dolphin!

We find this to be one of our favorites! We love the views (just watch the boats, or surfers, or the waves)! We have always had good service so far, and never a bad meal. I am now hooked on the Crab Benedict and their mouth watering clam chowder! Still the best chowder I have found in the area so far..

Great service and food. The wife loved her blackened salmon, and the fried seafood platter was great except for the fried scallops, next time Ill just get the fried prawns. The chowder in a bread bowl was one of the best things Ive ever eaten. Ill be back next time I go to Santa Cruz.

If your in Santa Cruz, Dolphin Restaurant is a great place to eat. It is a cute little place at the little pier. Great food! Amazing clam chowder! Also, really good fish n chips and friendly service. My favorite part is that it isnt too pricey. :) Also available a take out window.

My favorite restaurant in S.C.! The seals barking like crazy actually adds something to the atmosphere and the salt air lapping up against the tables gives me the appetite I had ten years ago. Food tastes better and wine tastes drier. A good place to get some great sea food.

I ordered the fish and chips and a cup of New England clam chowder. The chowder was a little heavy on the flour. The chips were thin cut fries like a fast food restaurant. Is surprised to see the fish fried in bread crumbs instead of batter, but it was still quite tasty.

This restaurant was the best if you want good service. Logan our waiter was there to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and very pleased with all. The scenery was great and would recommend this restaurant to anyone that would like to go.

Here you can have an okay meal and drinks for an okay price with a nice view. Staff was nice and attentive. If you are looking for really good food, you are not at the right place here, they seem to use convenience food rather than freshly made products.
