Riata diner is one of my favorite places to go for Sunday morning Bloody Marys and a breakfast fit for a king... Or queen! Riata is warm and inviting with great service, especially if your lucky enough to have Victoria serve you at the bar... Fun and sassy with a quick wit and a warm smile... Victoria can make your visit worth the trip! The food is wonderful, like my favorite, the prime rib steak sandwich, I recommend to request a cup of au jus sause on the side for dipping, or you could go for the crab sandwich that is generously stuffed with a fresh crab salad that melts in your mouth! The juke box plays everyones favorite songs and the rustic atmosphere adds a warm welcoming touch to your visit... I love the Riata Diner and can see why it has been a thriving "diamond in the rough" that has added a soft sparkle to the, already charming, old downtown Livermore area for so long.

I have been going every week end for several years now to this part of Alameda County for breakfast with my boys. I have tried most of the places in the Tri Valley Area by now. With this experience I can say that there is no place with better service, better atmosphere, not so crowded, and pretty decent food than the Riata in Livermore. Love this place. They even have an al fresco terrace on the little alley between First and Second Streets. Try it!

The food is excellent (their jalapeno poppers are notably amazing). It feels more like a bar than a restaurant, with the bar taking up so much real estate within the premises. That will be a positive to some people and not so much for others. There is also an extremely racist painting in the mens restroom, so its hard to recommend the place just based on that.

This is my first visit here. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. My server was taking my beverage order only a minute after I sat down. My food arrived hot and in a timely manner. Everything was cooked perfectly. I was impressed because this all happened during a Saturday morning breakfast rush. I will definitely be back.

Would not recomend this place at all The chili Verde special looked and tasted a week old when I asked the server if it was fresh she replied they make it once a week hmm wonder what day that was she offered to take it of the bill and she did but came back with an attitude needless to say I will not be coming back

Yummm.... The food here is great, real home cooking and better than I can manage. Drinks are good and they have the BEST bloody marys. It doesnt matter what meal you come for, breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, its all great.
