I thought this place has been improved the environment after their "remodeling" but the charcoal smoke problem is the same as before. Basically, you will inhale all those charcoal smoke since their ventilation system is not working. Yes, you can hear the ventilation fan sound but I dont see the system is sucking any smoke. I wonder how they pass the city inspection. I feel bad for those employees to inhale the smoke everyday. Well, ok the smoke may not bother somebody... Their service is probably the worse of all the Korean restaurants on El Camino Real. Very rude and I say two words, "Push and Rush". Pushing to order more meat and rush you to get out of there. Very uncomfortable to enjoy my meal. Not to mention their price is very high. Beside meat order, all other Korean foods are not authentic taste anyway. I have been this place more 5 years ago and visited yesterday since my wife insisted that this place had make-over. NAH! nothing change and Id rather spend my money to other authentic Korean restaurants. Terrible place...nothing positive. Never go back again forever.

10달전부터 미국 온 후 맛있어서 자주갔다. 한국에서 손님 오실때마다 모시고 가고. 그런데 몇달전부터 맛이 별로더니 급기야 오늘 점심에 점심 갈비세트를 먹었는데..절반이 갈비뼈에 살이 아예 안붙은 진짜 갈비뼈만 나왔다.숙주는 오래되서 쉬기직전에 김치랑 바짝쫄인 감자가 반찬의 다 이다. 갈비(28불) togo 해서 갔는데....점심메뉴 그거 그냥 싸주었다.한주먹도 안됨. 사장님도 아드님도 없어서 이런건지...다시는 절대절대 안가야겠다.

LIARS. They will cheat you. When the server makes the mistake you as a customer pay for it. if there were negative stars then they would have high negative rating for cheating customers. if you cannot speak Korean, be careful going here. Be very careful. Disgusting place and the hostess are just liars. I will never go here again and make sure none of my friends face the same cheats. Seriously disappointed that such food places exists. Also, beware of the hot charcoal canister when they place it on the table, Splinters fly all over. They have no sense of courtesy to make sure that the fire splinters dont hit the customer. yuck

맛이 없는 것도 문제지만 주문이 잘못되었는데 손님에게 덮어씌우는 가게는 처음봤습니다. 한두개도 아니고 10개 가까이의 주문이 다른 메뉴로 바뀌어 나오는 것은 의도적인 것이 아닌가 싶을 정도였습니다. (재고 처리를 손님에게 하는 것이 아닌지?) 단기 방문 중에 들른 것이기에 재방문을 할 일은 없지만 더 이상의 피해자가 나오지 않았으면 하여 리뷰를 남깁니다.

This place has something for everyone. 한성갈비 (han sung gal bi) is a very high quality meat and this is what makes this place the best Korean BBQ place in town. If you are looking for something more affordable, they offer 갈비살 for $15.99. 갈비살 is a cheap meat but $15.99 price may make it worthwhile. 물냉면 (mool naeng myun) is also one of the best in town. This place used to smell like a bathroom but after a new owner renovated the place few months back, its been maintained very cleanly and I regularly bring clients here. We order 한성갈비 (han sung gal bi).

We were asked when we sat down if we had been there before. I had been once but did not BBQ. Once our coals came and our meat came out, the waitresses pretty much kept coming by and cooking for us. We tried to make sure nothing was burning but, they were always there before we could do anything. They kept our glasses full, replenished side dishes, and brought out new plates of lettuce, with out us ever asking for anything. We will definitely go again. And, the price was good about $20 per person.

I love Han Sung BBQ! Their food is delicious, the servers are super nice, and the people that I dine with are always so much fun. Although Im sure its moreso the company than the place, I have never had a bad experience here. Sometimes there is a long wait for a table during the weekend, but its clear that they try their best to expedite customers. Minus 1 star for the fact that their food is pricier than competing KBBQ joints in the area. But the quality of the meat is superb.

excellent bbq! the eight of us (2x9yo, 4yo, 5x adults) ordered two tol sot bibimbap and 3 orders of meat and it was just the right amount of food. Of course, the only thing I dont like about these bbq places is that I leave with my clothes smelling like bbq for the rest of the day!

I havent felt this strongly to comment about a restaurant before but Han Sung Charcoal BBQ is too good to not share! Suffice to say, its very good and very cheap.The sides are delicious, the beef and squid and intestines are ooh so yummy..yup!

We always come hungry and leave happy. I know, that sounded like some franchise motto, but thats true! The meat serving and generous kimchi (side dish) are always welcomed in our table! The serving team were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent. A little pricey, but the same could be said of everywhere in the Bay Area. Here, the authentic experience and great flavours justify the premium. Try the set barbecue menus -- you wont need an appetiser if you do.

I think this is the best place for the Korean premium marinated beef ribs. Its called by Hansung bbq on the menu. Also I recommend a Korean cold noodle. Very good with bbq.
