I tried to express my excellent experience with oceanic restaurant through yelp but yelp Failed me miserably for wasting my honestly good review and lost it. So now im using this google review and hope other customers will see it. As a visitor from other state and staying at the hotel so far this restaurant is the Best chinese restaurant to me! Its been raining hard since yesterday out here and hence the dalay. Kevin handled the situation very well ( esp. dealing with difficult person like me ) and provided an exceptional customer service and offered me a free lunch special meal and delivered my food to my hotel personally! The food was unexpectedly delicious and I cant believe i finished it all! I cant wait to try their other dishes next time im in the area. Other visitors, I hope you find this very useful and dont forget to ask for their special hot sauce if you like to spice up your food :) Thanx again Kevin and Oceanic restaurant for the awesome experience! Im a very satisfied customer!

They dont hide what theyre trying to be - Chinese-American food, Hunan inspired. Once I sat down, they gave me free sour and spicy soup, which was decent. Handed down a plate of two egg rolls "on the house". Lunch Special Kung Pao Chicken ($6.95) was on the sweet side, didnt come with the long red/black peppers, but came with lots of cucumbers, carrots, and water chestnuts. I hate the filler water chestnuts. Generous rice portion. Hunan Fish ($7.25) was surprisingly crispy still despite drowning in a semi-spicy sauce. Good, but again, too much water chestnuts! Young female waitress was particularly nice - kept refilling the water and came to ask several times if food was alright. Surprisingly good service for this type of restaurant. Tiny parking lot in the back. Takes credit.

The delivery was Fast. Everyone was delightful The Walnut Prawns were incredibly delicious. They were out of the dessert I wanted and I chose Crab rangoon instead..... More expensive.....but they gave it to me for the price of the dessert!!! AND they also gave me an appetizer on the house. Truly...even without those things I still would have given 5 stars as the food was so good. I lived in Alaska for over a decade and I know a beautifully cooked prawn when I eat one. They do not know this was my first time with Oceanic. I will eat there often. It was just so fresh tasting and. Yummy! Can not wait to dine in. Will be taking friends and family there

This review is for their delivery service and food. My boyfriend ordered online and had it delivered to our apartment in Foster City. The food came relatively fast...around 30 minutes or so. We ordered the chow fun, basil beef and sweet and sour chicken. The Chow fun was alright. The noodles were a little mushy. I would have like them "al dente." Im going to attribute that to the ride over. The basil beef and sweet and sour chicken dishes were good. Nothing significant but still good. They did throw in a few eggrolls on the house which was a nice touch. Indifferent about this place.

This is the best Chinese Ive had on the Peninsula so far! I ordered via Eat24 for pickup and it was a breeze. (Parking on El Camino is a little tricky if youre coming in from the north.) I feared the walnut prawns wouldnt be crispy, but indeed they were lightly battered, and the jumbo prawns were succulent against the crunch of the candied walnuts. We also had the vegetarian kung pao chicken and veggie delight (Lotus root, green beans, broccoli and Shinae mushrooms). Both were excellent and the vegetables were sautéed perfectly because they were thoroughly cooked yet al dente.

I have no words to express how much I love this place. I have been going here from last 6 years and it has never disappointed me and my family. Now that we moved out of the area, I still come here for lunch just because I love there food. Staff is over friendly and has always accommodated our needs to make some changes on the dishes.

When there was a knock at our door not 15 min after we ordered, I said it couldnt be our order, but lo and behold! The walnut shrimp, general tsos chicken, and egg fried rice were all delicious and since we got over $35, we got free crab rangoon. Would order again.

Fantastic food especially the soup! Homemade and it shows! Also they give you free spring rolls when dining in. Kung Pao chicken was great too! The service also very good. Small place charm with some very good dishes! Highly recommend!

22 dollars for orange chicken and chicken fried rice. I could justify it if the food was good. Unfortunately it was probably the worst orange chicken and fried rice that I have ever had. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.
