i have been a customer of this establishment since they opened, must be close to 20 years. we have had NUMEROUS parties and gatherings there and have gone there for the last time yesterday for lunch. the place was not overly busy and we sat a party of 6. we ordered 7 dishes and everything came out in a timely manner except for the salt and pepper ribs, the waiter aknowledged that we had 1 dish coming as he brought out dish #6 but it never came. we asked a different waiter to check on it and it still never came. we were all done eating and it finally come out, a good 40 minutes after we started eating. that is unforgivable in my book, i am a reasonable person and i can see through an error or oversight no problem. the thing that really bothers me about this place now is that any party of 6 or more gets charged 15%, 20% or 25% depending on their discretion. we were charged 15%, again not unreasonable but mandatory i do not like. when asked for an extra box because we were unable to fit everything into 1 box the waiter was peterbed and snatched the plate from out table. i know cindy the owner from going there over the years and she has gone to a different location to manage, ever since her brother has taken over service has been on the decline. NEVER AGAIN, YOU HAVE LOST A LIFELONG CUSTOMER!!!!

My family has been going to east lake for over ten years. The service and quality has drastically improved. East lake is now pretty decent for dinner and Dim sum! Its so much cleaner than it use to be too! Its a local spot for me to have a huge family meal, thats good, moderately priced, and a less than 5 minute drive from my parents house. Its kind of the go to for celebrations since my dad is picky and cooking papa is too far. I like the 2 way duck, salt and pepper spare ribs, and the salt and pepper fish, and the boiled chicken. For dim sum Id go with the soup dumplings, fried taro, spareribs in black bean sauce, and triple. Im so glad they dont do the gross brown honeycomb triple anymore!

I have been their customer since its opened with ONE business unit at the same shopping center on White Road in South San Jose; I used to go there with my family/ friends every week; Right now I dont ever want to go there with my friends/ family after remodeling with THREE business units. Its because their mission is changed to their customers; Their 3Qs (quality foods, quality service, and quality controls) changed to 3 Ps,.... Right now its Poor foods, Poor Service, and Poor portion on the dishes. Please do not order the live seafood, such as Lobsters/ Crabs because they provide you the dead ones, but their price is 5 stars. Horrible.......

Ive been coming here for about 10 years waited out the remodeling and its finally a gorgeous place with delicious food. The soups are perfectly balanced in flavor and ingredients and their plates are very generous. ai love how the orange chicken. has actual orange thin peel slices, the mogolian beef is deliciously coated on a bed of crunchiness and onions, they are also very generous in their seafood plates, this I know because if I can lose track of how many Ive eaten its a win!

The popular neighborhood Chinese food place. East Lake has been undergoing some construction and is expanding again. It started as a small one room restaurant and has grown to take over the two lots next to it. Food is great, prices are fair, service is good.

Soup has no taste. Dimsum is good but very expensive. We go there a lot before but I guess they have a new cook now. $40 for 4 orders of dimsum and a bowl of soup.
