I had lunch at Bamboo Inn last week, and ordered chicken with string beans. Its actually good, I like that its not too sweet. Place was clean, but two stars are gone because I didnt get a warm welcome greeting. The server across the wall screamed at me to get a seat, and then rushed me for my order right away. Its lunch time and theyre room was not even full, with only 1/3 of the area occupied, so whats the rush anyway. I should not be surprised, but they still shock me sometimes, coz I usually would experience the same whenever I go to asian restaurants. You know, aside from the lack of communication, there are stoic faces that greet you as you walk in the door. Is it language barrier, or just lack of restaurant hospitality? I always feel obligated to read or interpret those gestures so I dont sound rude or disrepectful. Nuff said! On to the next place...

We ordered 2 of the lunch combinations, 1) sweet n sour pork, fried rice, chow mein, fried wonton, and soup. 2) Shrimp broccoli, fried rice, chow mein, fried wonton, and soup. The soup was very good. My husband got his plate about 5 minutes before I got mine. The fried rice and chow mein were good, but the pork in the sweet n sour was very dried out. The shrimp and broccoli was flavorful and fresh. The tea was hot and free. The lunch portion is generous and under $8.

Bamboo Inn has awesome Chinese food. I frequently come here for their orange chicken lunch special. The chicken is crispy and the sauce is a perfect combination of sweet with a little spicyness. Their walnut shrimp is really good too. The service is about par for a Chinese restaurant but the waitresses do get you your food really fast. Ive had much worse service at other asian restaurants but who goes to a Chinese restaurant for the service?

The food was just okay, Ive had better like at Panda South. The waitress was very rude, she got our order wrong and insisted we were wrong not her! Like its a big hassel to just change it. When we were finishing up she took our plates in a hurry and spilled greasy fried rice in my husband lap, and didnt apologize. So we did what anyone would do if they received such krappy service NO TIP.

My fiancé and I are new to the Elk Grove area. We were craving Chinese and decided to give Bamboo Inn a try. We ordered Togo. We ordered general chicken, vegetable fried rice, and veggie chow mein. We were impressed! The chicken was so good! Very flavorful. The vegetables in the rice and chow mein were fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back! The girls working were really sweet too!

The service is horrible. Everyone of the ladies have a attitude. Found hair in 2 of my plates that came fresh out the back. Cups were dirty. The noodles are very bland. Not coming back ever for the price I paid I would rather go somewhere else. Had I would have know before I would have never came here this is my first time here and now my last time. Never again....

This place is okay. Its the only Chinese restaurant we go to in Elk Grove. We visit this place maybe 4 times a year. The food is good and the prices are pretty reasonable. The service is quick and we feel comfortable when we come here.

Ive been eating here for at least 6-7 years and I love the food. However the service isnt the best. In all the years that Ive been eating here I dont think anyone has ever greeted me or even smiled. But the food makes up for the service.

SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.I had to ask several times for some water ,straws and napkins. Completely rude and the two asian ladies just look at you ignore you. Food is ordinary not worth the money asked for.

I ordered a simple lunch combo and it was terrible! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was so hard, I couldnt even chew it. Im not one to complain but this was truly not good.

Orderewhen I walked in... less than 2 minutes. Food came in 5 mins. Asked for chopsticks. Chili sauce and hot mustard. Got all quickly. Great prices. Good service. Excellent flavor

My dad order about 60 dollars worth of food. The foiled wrap chicken looked old or like beef. The broccoli was nasty. The orange chicken was good and so was the rice and noodles.
