Im a vegetarian and I was visiting San Jose in this area when I saw this restaurant. I was excited because I love vegetarian Asian cuisine. I read some reviews and decided to check it out. I was confused when I arrived because I didnt realize there was also a buffet and after an awkward few minutes I was seated. I really wish that the menu had better descriptions of each dish. I ordered spring rolls and the duck with steamed buns. A few minutes later the waiter returned saying that there were no spring rolls so I decided to try another entrée, veggie fish with ginger sauce. The duck arrived quickly but was literally just a slab of deep fried mock duck surrounded by flat, white, steamed buns(see attached picture) It was so greasy and the accompanying sauce tasted fresh out of a can. I tried not to feel too disheartened and decided to hold judgment until the fish came.. maybe I just ordered poorly. The fish arrived on its sad, wilted bed of lettuce decorated with old cucumber and a bowl of cold, watery ginger sauce. Besides the depressing presentation the fish was burnt and extremely greasy. I then asked for a side of some steamed broccoli to try to balance out this unhealthy and underwhelming meal. The broccoli was great, though the portion was a little small (four small flowerets) I scanned the menu again looking for some sort of soup savior but then decided against it since my bill was already a whopping $24. I havent been this depressed about a meal ever. I thanked them, tipped my waiter and got the hell out of there feeling sorry for my wallet. Dine at your own risk.

I come here every once in a while; its not the healthiest in terms of vegetarian/vegan cuisine, but it is tasty! I usually order the Thai-style eggplant, and some coconut juice, and occasionally an appetizer, i.e. spring rolls. The eggplant is always cooked very tender, and the sauce has very bold flavors, just how I like it. Ive their spring rolls twice now, and they were good, but the texture of the fake meat left a bit to desire-it was kind of dry, and almost felt like eating stale chicken. Flavorwise, it was okay. As for their vegan pizza, it is delicious-the crust is nice and poofy, but you should know it will take at least half and hour to prepare, so call ahead if you plan to order one! Minus one star because although their service is very friendly, it can be a bit slow sometimes and take a while to get the bill or other assistance. Overall, a solid spot to bring friends or family to for yummy, but not neccessarily healthy veggie cuisine.

Ive been eating at Di Lac since they were on Evergreen Valley Rd. The food, both buffet and sit-down has always been delicious, but the service at the new location on Quimby its fabulous: inviting, welcoming, sweet, friendly and informative about their menu. The restaurant is clean and decorated. The new menu is smaller but tastier and the food is displayed very nicely. They have also added new drinks and Vegan Pizza to the menu.

I tried the vegan vermicelli bowl with "pork" and egg rolls and it was amazing. I cant believe they make such tasty dishes without any animal products.
