Finally ! High quality craft bake shop in downtown San Jose . Open early too ! 6:30a.m. right next to the Heel Bar on Santa Clara near 4th. On my early morning visit they were offering a simple but tempting selection of cottage-style pastries and cookies. My first buy was a slice of fresh-apple cake and a cup of Yunnan tea. Both very good. Fresh apple pieces baked into a rich flavorful loaf cake. Nicely balanced spices, no heavy handed vanilla, and not too sweet. Around $3.50ish ? The tea was brewed loose leaf in a large tea sac. Very good quality. Cost was around $3.50? they also offer other teas and infusions as well as coffee. They also have a small selection of artisan breads available to buy. Cant wait to try their other pastries, and Im curious to see what offerings they develop in the future. Def will do again. Cheers !

Decent place. Cute shop. Their bloody mary loaf was very good, and makes for a great melts or grilled cheese. My biggest complaint is the storefront. Its pretty obvious this place is a farmers-market first, store 2nd place. No seating, no selection. You have a choice of 3-4 different breads depending on whats in stock, and about 4-7 different kind of treats in the case, all in very limited quantities. I walked in intending to buy something sweet but ended up just getting bread because my options were a small cookie, a slice of apple pie, or a slice of pound cake - pretty early in the day too.

Amazing cookies and treats plus, theyre pretty cheap for such high quality. I love that I can get a $2 or $3 treat in the middle of a busy day. I only wish they were open more and had seating inside to relax on.

Just tried their Lemon Chili bread and it was divine. I couldnt decide because all the loaves smelled so good and there were so many amazing flavors. I cant wait to visit the actual bakery now.
