Long story short, the drinks are good but the place is super ghetto. Im glad there are plenty of places to sit and hang out with friends. I ordered a honeydew milk tea with tapioca, and it was really good! On the sweet side though. My friend got a lavender milk tea with tapioca, and it was good too... not as sweet in case you non-sugar lovers want a suggestion. Drinks are a solid five stars, especially because they are under $4 or $5 each. Great prices! The only thing is that the drinks take FOREVER to be made. Boba is always worth waiting for, but this wait is ridiculous. Plus the staff members are all so life-less, its really sad. I like to visit cafes with LIFE and ENERGY!! Everything about this place seems dead, but it has good drinks so hey, cant complain much.

this is one of them tapioca milk tea places. its a bit more westernized than most. cool thing is that its not part of the few franchise chains that im tired of seeing. you know, tapioca express, quickly, etc. its got a modern design feel to it. they also specialize in coffee and espresso drinks. they dont much of food menu. i kind of like that. some other milk tea cafes have way too many menu items. my fav is being able to "onyx" a drink. they add a scoop of ice cream to whatever drink you want. nice new twist. great for summer. anyhow, ill be back there. free wifi is nice plus too.

I came here after lunch in Daly City to grab a quick afternoon milk tea. It had an oddly thick consistency, but the taste wasnt really rich or creamy. There wasnt any earthy black tea flavor either. It mostly tasted like a thick, sweet soy milk. Im guessing that the creamer they use is soy based, and I was not a fan of how the soybeany flavor tasted in their milk tea. I think itd be better if they start using evaporated or condensed milk.

This place brings me nostalgia from my middle school days! Hah! Its a really chill environment to just hang around late nights. Try to avoid going around 3-5 during the week because you get the crowds of students there. I suggest the Nutella or Royal Milk Tea, those definitely stand out!

Thoughtfully made desserts and breads made with fine ingredients. Quality is 5-star, and I particularly like that their desserts are not overly-sweet. My fav has to be the bread pudding; but, I would hate to leave out their lemon tarts which are every bit as good as my grandmothers recipe.

I always feel comfortable relaxing here. The food is good and drinks are great, plus the bowling alley and late hours make Onyx perfect for college crowds.
