Like they say, third times the charm! The first time I went to high tea at another establishment, the service was excellent but the food gave me stomach pains. The second time at a different restaurant, the food was delicious, but service was lacking. Laurel Court has high marks on both service and food! My roommate had her birthday party here, and for $39, its a really good deal. There were 9 in her party, and each tray was good for two people. The top tier had savory bites, in which my favorite was the curry chicken. The second tier had two sweet scones and two cheese scones with lemon curd, cream, and cinnamon pears. The third tier had desserts, which ranged from macarons to chocolate cups with blueberries. Everything was fresh and scrumptious. As for the tea, I ordered the English Breakfast, which was comforting on the crisp SF day. I highly recommend Laurel Court for high tea. Id like to come back for lunch soon!

The hostess said it best, if you want a quiet dinner, this is the place. She sure did not mention anything about whether we wanted a good meal or not. Service was good and prompt and again, it was quiet and the place was elegant. But I came here to enjoy a nice meal. The food was average at best, not what you would hope for given the price they charge. That is the reason I cannot rate it any higher than a 3. I have had much better for the price. I dont find much value in the food itself. If it were not for the prompt and friendly service, I would rate it lower.

That was the worse $46 rib eye I ever ate. It came alone without a salad veggies or potatoes. Go get a pizza or anything else besides here. How does this hotel rip off their customers with this dog food. Also the view from our room was the water tank view. Our room had no bureau to put your clothes in. It is misrepresenting to the point of highway robbery. GO Any place else. Eat anyplace else. Stay any place else.

I came here to take my friend out as a celebration, and the experience was everything I hoped and more. The atmosphere makes you feel like royalty, and the service and food definitely lives up to that as well. Everything we had was mouthwatering, and we left feeling very full. The place wasnt busy at all, and was quiet and peaceful, making our experience perfect. I highly recommend it without a doubt!

Had the bagel breakfast sandwich with truffle brie and house potatos. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was superb. Servers were there only when needed, after that we were able to have a conversation without being interrupted. The ambiance was worth the visit. Well done.

Excellent restaurant for high tea time! Service is impeccable and very courteous. The spread was delicious and worth the higher than average cost. Teas are actually delicious (youd be surprised how many high tea rooms dont put any emphasis on this). Beautiful restaurant to top it off!

Wonderful service that was welcoming and polite, but not overbearing. The grilled tuna and filet mignon were superb- the flavor was rich and bold! I would definitely go back if given the opportunity and will gladly recommend this dining experience to others.

Went here on reccomendation by an CA foodie. The tequila soaked strawberry french toast was amazing! My latte was burnt which is a no go for a brunch place. It was also pricey compared to San Francisco. Overall an amazing atmosphere and really good food.

Went here for breakfast. Overpriced with average service and low quality food. Oscar Meyer has better bacon. Buffet is a ripoff. Honestly, this place is scenic, and thats it. Spend your money elsewhere.

This place never gets old - actually it is really old...and tacky....but so over the top it is still a critical stop for friends visiting SF for the first time. Happy hour is a great bargain.

The food and drinks are definitely overpriced, but the atmosphere was unique. I would recommend going here for a special occasion like a birthday. But come early for happy hour prices!

Afternoon tea was very small to other bay area locations and pricier. The decor was lovely and the seating nice, but we left hungry & had to go find lunch

The Afternoon Tea was hideously overpriced and lacks variety and quantity. They do not cater well for dietary requirements - even with notice!

Classic old school lounge. Fun place to get a few drinks before going out. Make sure to stay for the rain storms in the middle of the bar.

The food was awful, but this place is too random and awesome (lounge singer in indoor lagoon) to rate lower than a 3.

Expensive, and the buffet is only decent. The coffee wasnt great, and the service was rather unattentive.
