I came here last weekend with my friends. Its a chill place and the food was very tasty. It was so good that I order another dish. We sat there and waited close to 30 minutes. Then I finally went up and asked them about my order. The bartender said it would be another 10 minutes. Moments later he bought out my order but it was incorrect. I ended up canceling my order. Today, I decided to go back because the food was really good the last time. But boy, did I ever regret going back….I called ahead of time to see if they can accommodate my large family, which they said would be no problem. From the moment, we got there, it was at least a 30-minute wait for each meal we ordered. They made me feel like they forgot my orders because they had to check with me TWICE! I understand that this is not a restaurant establishment but I had thought that a customer is a customer no matter what kind of establishment it is. I was there for 2 and half hours and most of that time I was waiting for the food to come out. This place is a great spot to hang out. Their food is tasty. Their beer is good. IF they can get their work flow together, this place has a lot of potential.

Was here to check out a CityBeat Beer Club event otherwise would have never known about this ramen joint. So to just get to it... the broth has authentic flavor, egg - runny and yellow, and pork belly meat - meaty and delish. Noodles though werent on point. All in all flavor was okay (not "OMG" i have to come back here tomorrow sadly). The pork belly bun was okay too. The best thing here is the quality of the porkbelly. Otherwise meh. Why three stars you ask? Service was so-so, but they may still be getting the kinks out (less a star). Plus they only take cash and wanted payment up front right when you place your order. A bit odd. Another star loss for that. But they do have old school games available and a big projector but during the time i visited they didnt seem to be open to the public.

This place is close to being very good. I came for ramen, and ordered tonkatsu. My bowl arrived warm, not hot. The noodles were a good quality, and the pork belly seemed to be broiled crispy on top and left soft on the bottom. I liked this a lot, though the long strips were difficult to break up on my bowl. I was disappointed to find my egg overcooked to the point that the yolk was green. The broth was good, but not great. It was missing the deep, intense flavor that the best tonkatsu offers. Id suggest more pork bones, less water, and more time when cooking the broth. Overall, this restaurant has potential. I will probably come back at some point. I will say that I preferred the broth here better than Underbelly down the street.

Awesome bar with the perfect casual setting to hang out and enjoy a night with friends. Came here on a Friday night and there were the perfect amount of people there. Fun vibe but enough space at all the tables to hang out and spread out with friends. The tables on the sides are all connected to N-64 game players with old favorites like Mario Kart and Super Smash. So fun and free to play! Theyve got a bunch of different and unique beers on tap that range from $4-8 on average. Their menu is also unique. You wouldnt expect it but its all Asian cuisine like ramen and steamed buns. Overall, really fun, chill option in North Park if youre looking for a place to go out but still be able to talk with friends.

This is my go to ramen place in North Park. The ramen is really solid and consistent. Ive been here for dinner and for lunch which have two very different vibes. The weekday lunch crowd is students and business people a like on their laptops. Oh YEAH this place also has free wifi. The dinner crowd is much more of a bar crowd. They also have both in door and outdoor seating. The only negative thing about this place is that their steamed buns are a little pricey at 1 for $4.

Fun atmosphere and we really enjoyed having the video games available to kill time while waiting for food. The problem was the food itself. The eggs benedict was bland. The cinnamon coating on the chicken for chicken and waffles was good in concept, but a little off in execution. Unless you had the syrup with the chicken, the cinnamon was really overpowering. The waffles were solid though. Ive heard their ramen is good, but I think well pass on trying brunch there again.

Great food, delicious beer, fun video games, and a very relaxed atmosphere. Not really sure what else I could ask for! I love to come here and unwind after a long week. Nothing about this place feels forced or unwelcomed. I would very highly recommend the surf-and-turf bun!! (with a side of Mario Kart) Thanks, Austin and Justin. You will see us back many times.

If you like HARDCORE gangsta rap, this is THE place for you. I told the waitress the music was terrible, and she just ignored me. Must have been her music choice. Another worker ended up changing the station to something a little less extreme. Cannot recommend. As far as the waitress with the the green hair goes, the customer is not important. So, just say no.

High points: - Amazing chicken and waffles - Way better ramen than Applebees - Best appletini in San Diego - glory hole in the mens room - great prices Low points: - they should serve more than one type of cornbread - not enough cheese on the potato skins - seems awfully Asian Overall safehouse is not as good as claim jumper but way better than TGI Fridays

One of my favorite places in North Park to eat (and there are a number of good choices in the NP/South Park area). SafeHouse is very casual, cozy place with really good noodle dishes, a good tap selection and very friendly staff. Have been going here since they opened a couple of years ago and it is consistently outstanding.

This is my go-to spot! Def get KATANA FRIES: fries, soy aioli, sweet chili sauce & PORK BELLY (pictured). Wing Wed. (64¢) yum spicy garlic wings (pictured). They got classic Nintendo games too! I stop by daily after yoga at CorePower for the rotating local draft beer list!

Came here with a group of 8. Shared the calamari, ceviche sampler and plantains. Also shared the adobo with a friend. The food was super flavorful and well balanced. Their sangaria is delicious as well. Overall fun and fulfilling experience. Definitely need to come back!

Whether in ramen or in sticky buns, they have the best pork belly. Better than at Porkbelly. Two TVs, lots of videogames, big beer selection. Their Japanese ice-cream flight is outstanding. Two single-occupancy bathrooms.

Chill place, allows you to go play your favorite N64 games while also offering a wide array of Beer on tap. Has great brunch options on the weekend and a spread of options for food daily.

Delicious Japanese comfort foods with video games set up. The steam bun flight is perfection and definitely recommend the Surf and Turf steam bun or the kurobuta sausage steam bun.

DO NOT order take out. Half the broth was in the bottom of the bag before I even walked out the door. And honestly, my .99 organic ramen from sprouts is better. Way over priced.
