I love this place for being a kid friendly, family friendly, dog friendly outdoor tavern. The vibe is quintessentially Southpark. Its become our go to family meeting spot because of the aforementioned universal friendliness. The menu is simple but solid. Sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, tofu dogs and some of the best tater tots available. The homemade sauces are also delicious. Chipotle mayo and cilantro lime mayo are my favorite dips. PSA - tots come in two sizes, small, which is a cup or so, and large, which is an entire serving plates worth. So, choose wisely. A rotating tap list and signature cocktails round out a really nice tavern. While no longer on the menu, the Gin Jimmy is my go to drink there. Refreshing and effervescent. The Jimmy goes down without any complaints.

If you dont have kids, dont come here. Its incredibly kid friendly, which means the playground/kitty litter box is usually packed and there are a lot of low obstacles that move. Food wise weve never been impressed. If anything, grab a basket of tots with garlic on them. Alcohol wise the beer list always seemed stagnant to me. Ive been numerous times throughout the course of a year, and seen maybe 2 beers swap around. They do have a full bar and have cocktails which used to distinguish it from surrounding restaurants, however this is no longer true. All in all, my opening here is the main piece of advice.

Giving this place a 5 star bcuz the ambient is great The food was great, I had a double burger The beer variety is excellent and my service was really good My server Julio was on deck! Props to that guy, not pushy not forgetful he was right on it. The burger was tasty and well cooked to my liking, both patties medium rare and tasty, bread was good too. The beer is great, the prices arent bad and it was all around a great time, Ill be going back to this place on my next visit to San Diego. Thank you for a great mean along with great food and great music as well and Julio thanks for the great service.

Situated next to one of the old fire stations in South Park, Station Tavern is a great eatery with a solid drink menu and plenty of food options. There are some seats inside, but the majority of seating is outside, which given our awesome climate, makes for a relaxing atmosphere. There is a kids play area for the little ones, and bench seating if you have a big group. The burgers are fresh, delicious and plenty for one hungry guy, or to split in two if you want to share. One large side order of fries or tots is plenty for a group of four.

So much fun... when there arent too many kids crying! I love this area of town that is quickly changing, but Station Tavern is always the heart of the fun on this block. So if youre in the mood for some good beer and tater tots, this is the outdoor venue youve been looking for! There are seats inside... but on a beautiful day in San Diego, why would you want to miss out on the fun picnic and community-table style benches with your favorite friends?

Great little local spot in San Diego near North Park. The burgers were tasty and their tater tots are great too. This place has a decent selection on booze and the prices are fair. There is plenty of seating outside and the outdoor heaters make this area feel very cozy. The one recommendation I would make to this place is to switch up the bread for the burgers because they crumble up too easily. Other than that I would recommend this place.

Wonderful service with outstanding food n my fav dish is there chicken garden salad, bacon burger, sweet pot. Fries Prices r great; dogs r welcome with fresh water bowls, play area for kids. A must for a family outing n or great place for a date with a cozy bar within the same block. Ask about the decor n why its called the station, if u like history? All employees offer a warm inviting smile with great service!

One of my favorite places in SD. The tater tots are amazing and the beer is wonderful. The rest of the food is fine (full disclosure: Im a veggie so I cant speak to the meat burgers. Maybe theyre great.) but the real reason I love it is because of the train play area for kids. If a can drink a (local craft) beer and chat with friends while my kid is entertained and playing nearby, well, I really cant ask for more.

A burger and fries joint that actually cares about food quality with organic free range meats and produce. Kid friendly with an awesome outdoor patio and a super cool rustic decor. Really love the vibe, food and friendly service. 2 out of 3 stars for Eco consciousness with their organic selection but high power incandescent lights. 2 out of 2 stars for excellent food and service for the price.

Good food, and fun for the kids with the gated play area, but they allow dogs and therefore dog poo. I managed to step in dog poo which is a very unpleasant experience wherever you are, but it felt worse inside an eater, especially with the lingering smell. There was also dog poo in the childrens play area. We told staff, but it still did not get picked up.

We were a party of 8 and found seating immediately. The communal tables were totally able to accommodate our party. The play area for my niece and nephew was awesome too. The star for me were the garlic fries, beer selection, and cocktails. Overall great bar food and gastropub fair. Our waitress was super patient, polite, and nice. We will definitely be back!

Well, their food is decent. Their drink selection is a bit limited but ample. Their menu is "a la carte" which always bums me out, $13 cheeseburger seems deflated without a side. The place is modern and looks to be designed recently. They have an area for children to play so it makes sense to come here if you have kids, or friends with kids.

Great burger and beer place, and they have a little playground for the kids outside. They have a good beer selection and the wait staff was quick and the wait for food was short even though the place was packed. Unfortunately, they were out of highchairs the night I went, but we were there on a very busy Friday night.

Down to earth, literally, casual atmosphere. Decent but basic selection of drinks, but highlight are the burgers, which are truly delicious, and so are the fries (all 3 types). Highly recommend as a casual and affordable eatery. Kids and dogs are welcomed, so place has a definite family feels to it.

I tried the Quinoa burger special with sweet potato fries on gluten free bread. One waitress handling too many tables and she was not very friendly and it took too long to get served. Bread crumbled so I ended up eating the sandwich with a fork. Dont expect to be back.

The service is ok, a little slow. The burgers are good, but not great. The patties are a little dry. The garlic fries are to die for! It is very infant, toddler, and kid friendly with a wide selection of alcohol for the adults. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Any place that serves local beers and has a place for my kid to play will get top scores from me, but I love the atmosphere of this place and the train for the kids is just super fun. Also, TWO different veggie patties! Huge points. And lets not forget the tater tots.
