Ive been to Locanda Positano 3 times now. First time we didnt have a reservation and thought wed see if we could get in. To their credit, they did take us, but WOW drama. They must have told us 8 times to make a reservation next time, and not just told us, talked down to us, asked if we knew how to use a phone, etc. The food was fair - I got a pizza, husband got a pasta. The second time we went with friends. Yes, we called for a reservation. They made us wait 15 minutes for the table and then sat us in the back by the bathrooms. Husband demanded they move us, they did. Food was again fair - 3 of us got pizza (mine was burned) and one got pasta. Third time, we came because other friends said it was so good we thought we must be missing something. Nope. They are still arrogant and serving middle of the road food.

BRAVO

Delivery...50$ later i get a lasagna reminded me of my middle school cafeterias ,(public school the early 90s) with old dry ground meat, and one layer of soggy pasta, they would have a better result with costco pre made lasanga .The calimari came with a container of the fake lime juice you get at a gas station/ghetto liquor store and I threw the salad away because I was scared of the plasma looking cheese they sent on my 9$ salad..I felt like my well being wasnt worth gambling on..I can only imagine the poor people that leave a tip feeling bad for the people that have to serve this mess

Pretty much the worst dinning experience Ive ever had. It was pretentious... the wait staff had phony accents, our table kept wobbling I eventually put a pack of gum under the leg. The food was aweful; my husband ordered the rib eye medium rare, he got a burnt all the way cooked piece of meat. It was a good cut they messed up. My linguine and clams was hideous... first off it was served in the skillet! That spun around on the table as I tried to eat. Second the pasta was hard and broken up and the clam sauce tasted that of chlorinated water! Terrible terrible terrible!

I ordered the Sophia Loren Pizza it is off the hook good. The risotto was only average at best, maybe Im spoiled having eaten my moms risotto in the past. The bread that they give you with olive oil and garlic is dense and soft not chewy whatsoever, very good. 2 things I did not understand about this place the owners are Italian and yet they play reggae music also the tiramisu is wonderful however I did not understand putting pieces of apples on top. One more note I think I tasted a slight hint of dry vermouth in the tiramisu, wonderful!!

Some of the best Italian food ive had, period. The place is always lively, the happy hour drinks & food menu is great, just enough to keep you coming back midweek. The wine selection is great, the bar area works without being distracting to the ambience of the dinner areas, and the food is the standout - good sized portions, excellent pizzas in a town increasingly overflowing with good pizza, and pasta to die for. Enzos warm personality and charm help everyone feel like a regular.

Salad was drenched in dressing; pesto sauce was overly salty; pizza and two entrees served at room temperature. Fresh, decent quality ingredients prepared and served with minimal care and creativity. Decor was more reminiscent of ubiquitous self-serve yogurt shops than an upscale italian restaurant; lots of mirrors, glossy white surfaces and cheap plastic plants. A very average restaurant experience at best.

Great American Italian food that we have come to love but done very well here at Positano. Eggplant parmigiana is beautiful and the pizzas are well made as well. The dough is cooked perfectly with the right amount of sauce and the toppings whether it be prosciutto or just margarita pizza. The drinks are nice as well - grapefruit vodka martini was amazing. Great for lunch and dinner!

Panini is really a sandwich with toasted, thin pizza crust. Its very hard to eat because of size (too big)and the way items are placed (imagine a sadwich with large dry crakers). Today, they put sauteed broccoli instead of spinach. It does not go well at all in any sandwich. Side salad was great. Service is OK. Atmosphere is nice.

Best pizza in the neighborhood, hands down. nothing better than prosciutto and fresh arugula on crispy thin crust fresh from the oven. Service is excellent as well, though I would recommend a reservation on weekends. Friendly staff as well. For a unique treat try the nutella calzone desert, so yummmy!

Excellent friendly service. In our part of five we tried a variety of specialties. The sauces on the fish were subtle and carried their distinct flavors. The thin crust pizza could only have been made by a true italian master. The finish of port and Nutella made it a night to remember.

Food was not great and our service was not attentive on a Sunday during lunch. I ordered the risotto which was overly salty and the rice grains hard. Other members of my party were not excited about their food either. The atmosphere was pleasant.

For lunch my friend and I split the Antipasto plate and the Kale salad. Ive never been at such a delicious Italian restaurant. The food was amazing. Each bite was indulgent and the flavors were bold and delicious. I highly recommend.

My colleague & I had lunch there today and everything was great. The host was very attentive and the staff were very polite and friendly. The vesuvio salad with chicken was excellent so was the salad with salmon. Will go back again.

The best dinner ever...the host made us feel at home. Just as they do in Italy... The tripe was delious as well as truffle risotto and the sole. Wine, desert and homemade lemoncillo were fabulous! Grazie Truillio, we will be back!

The best place on the peninsula for southern Italian food. The Neapolitan pizzas are delicious and the pasta reminds me of what we had on the amalfi coast.

Upscale restaurant with great food and famous for its wine. A little noisy at peak hours but still has a lot of room and can be great for groups.

Extraordinarily good service but food only 3 stars. My veal was bland. More herbs? More tang? Dunno. Husband said his fish was good.

Good food. Friendly staff. Lively atmosphere. My favorite is to have drinks at the bar with an antipasta and other small plates.

Slow service, decent food, but not terrific. Very loud place with mismatched decor. Clearly very popular, buy just OK for my taste.
