I AM LITERALLY PULLING OVER ON THE FREEWAY TO WRITE THIS REVIEW. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! HORRIBLE!! okay, i have been eating sushi for years. When I walked in the place smelt like moldy water. I mentioned the smell but they said they couldnt smell it. So, i let ot go. Thinking it could be the fish or something. The server did not speak any english and had no clue what I was ordering I had to literally pont to everything like I was talking to a first grader. When I received my bento box, there was friend tofu, no spices or sauce just straight tofu fried! Then they didnt have brown rice and for those of you who eat sushj the salads that come with it usually have thos dressing that is orange and super good! My salad was the salad that you get in the bag at the supermarket and it had some kind of creamy ceasar or ranch. When I asked the server what the dressing was he had no clue. So needless to say I wasnt going to eat dressing on a salad that the staff didnt even know what it was. Then I ordered green tea. I was brought tea but it was just hot water. No matter how long I let it steep, it was still water! Lol! So, I didnt drink my tea, i didnt eat my bento box (not even a bite). The miso soup literally had no flavor, it was horrible. I asked for the bill and the server brought it to me. I went to the front to pay it, Jackie Saad asked me how everything was, I explained, she knew I didnt eat or drink anything amd her response was, "oh, sorry to hear that". Then she charged me anyway. Theres a bunch of teenagers running the place they have no clue what customer service is. When I asked for a manager her response was that they only come in when they are busy. She also said she doesnt have authorization to not charge me. So, no initiative to do whats right? Really?!?....please DO NOT WASTE UR TIME OR $$$. This place is obviously capitalizing off of cheap food and service. I will never be back! I work hard for my money and 15$ is a lot to me. Ridiculous.

This place is pretty americanized compared to all the ayce places in town. Its food is better quality because its not AYCE and they have a large menu that incorporates alot of fusion. The sushi bar has so many rolls I feel like all the ones i usually eat around town are here too plus selections ive never even seen. Rolls with poprocks, hot cheetos, NY steak...a ceviche appetizer? I think I saw a guy order a Kobe burger too... I havent had one of those since I was in LA a while back. Oh and their kogi style on tuesdays and their wings on wednesdays are phenomenal. The bar is dirt cheap. Its no wonder why the UC kids come here to drink. $1 shots/sake bombs, $6 cocktails and they have this huge fishbowl too thats like $10 on fridays. Mondays have the best drink special though. You should ask what they are. Chefs are all young but speak perfect english! Its always a good time at the bar. The ambiance and decor is very hip and a bit upscale. Dining room candles and flowers bring an elegant touch, and the servers arent too bad either. Young, fun, but not the brightest. But you pay for what you get here. IF youre looking for decent food and drinks for a cheap price. Come here.

I went there on a Sunday at 6:30pm. There was only one waitress working on our side and had like 4 table. It took us 15 min for her to come to our table to take our order, the rest of the times we had to flag her down becayse she would not approch our table, in fact a few times she avoided eye contact. i get the fact that she is bussy (thats fine) but even when she would approach us she has a very cold , not friendly. The food was alright, portions more on the smaller size, compared to other places ive been. This place did not impress me, but maybe ill give it another try in the future. Hopefully ill get better waitress and she can she can suggest some good food. Lol

10/10 highly recommend. The food was fantastic, not to mention the deals. Im actually shocked. I highly recommend coming here. TRY THE FLAMING ROLL. its worth it for both the taste and the show. Not to mention the service here was excellent. Tiffany was our waitress and it would be dope if every waiter/waitress had her level of friendliness and menu knowledge. She was also the only one running around for a bit but she was killin it.

Atmosphere is awesome. Ran by a young crew... but Their lack of experience shows in the food. Ordered gold, dragon and crunch roles and none delivered. Fish is far from fresh and didnt taste pleasant. We couldnt even finish our roles. Their services isnt so great either. They take long to get to you and when they do , theyre rushing! Very annoying to be honest. No value, Not coming back ... you shouldnt either.

The muscles and sushi I had were delicious, I had the flaming crab sushi not as fancy as it was in the menu but I liked it. The place itself was good and clean and comparing to other restaurant in UV almost fancier. The price kinda high the sushi I had was $12 and mostly were 12-15. However, the waiter we had forgot about us, barely stood by and refilled our drinks and we sat 20 mins just for our check to pay!

My friends and I always love eating at Sushiya when we need a nice dinner after a long day of classes at UCR! The owner is so nice and the food is always top notch! I recommend the Canyon Crest Roll, its my favorite! Plenty of other great rolls as well! Offers great value for students while keeping quality standards high! Ill probably come to this place even after I graduate! Keep up the good work!

The waiter was a bit off the game, seemed irritated with us. We were brought in and wasnt served until 7, and that really annoyed me since I wanted to flag someone down for happy hour. Second round of sushi took 30 minutes. Alcohol seemed super diluted. Kinda upset since the place looks and feels awesome. Waiter didnt really bring everything we needed like plates, ginger, napkins, water. Sigh.

There was 1 server that was also a waitress. She was running around like crazy. Even though she tried we waited more than 20 min for us to get our water. When we finally recieve our water there was lipstick stain on the rim of the cup. Ask for another waterq. waited for 15 min to get another water. food arrived no silverware or chop to eat with . Food is ok, had better. need to hire more staff

Every single time we come here, we sit at the sushi bar and the sushi bar chef Kevin is absolutely amazing. I am gluten free and Kevin has made me so many homemade sauces that are gluten free to accommodate me. This place has some of the best sushi in riverside. We are extremely picky with sushi and the freshness is on pointe!! Thank you so much for the excellent quality sevice.
