This Straw Hat is the only one that uses a true brick oven to cook their pizzas. This makes a huge difference in taste in how their pizzas are from other places. There are a variety of pizzas to select from and they even have some that are special to this Straw Hat. They are always generous with the toppings, which are very fresh. Once you are inside, the atmosphere is just how a pizza place should be: plenty of tables and booths, 2 big screen TVs, video games, and nostalgic artwork adorn the walls. Depending on which evening you go, there is Karaoke, banjo music and a piano player there. Skip, the owner, always greets my husband by name with a huge smile. Weve been coming here for over 20 years. This is the only pizza place for us! PS: They also have a great salad bar.

The first time we ordered from here it was excellent. A good amount of quality toppings, sauce and nice crust. This time, the second time....it was delivered quickly...which was nice but now I know why. The delivery guy brought no napkins, no plates and when asked he had none. Also, our pizza was made on a PRE-MADE crust. It was terrible. The toppings were still plentiful and good but the lack of sauce and the pre-made crust really ruined it. Not sure if we will give them another shot or not. This sounds awful but the small pan pizzas from Little Caesars we picked up last time in a rush were better. Although less toppings, THE CRUST MAKES THE PIZZA!

Panheadz Scoring....6.2....! For myself there Cajun chicken deep dish NOT ! Some folks have forgotten the real food idea. This was tasteless..no imagination, no flavor better food in an emergency cardiology hosp. Not worth the time to order that one again. Prudhomme would be appalled. The wife seemed to like the pepperoni so I am guessing convention is the real choice here. Too many would be cooks ? Hardly seems the case since most kitchen advocates relish a taste for realism.

Came here on a saturday night cause pizza sounded good. Karaoke night apparently. Bunch of old people loudly and badly singing songs from the 50s and a bunch of kids running around screaming. Wtf kind of zoo did i walk into? One kid was lifting up his younger brother and trying to put him in the salad bar...... getting my pizza to go and it cant come soon enough.

Most awful disgusting poser of a pizza, suave is straight up bland tomato paste, hardly any cheese and Terrible quality mozzerela at that, toppings cheap and bland, spent 50$+, On what felt like just enough grub for 2 people and a toddler. Never going here again.

This is a great place to meet, eat, and have a party. Skip the owner is very cordial as well as the rest of the staff. This business donates generously to our local little league as well as softball. Spend your money and your investing in Rancho Cordova.
