Stayed at the hotel behind the restaurant for 2 nights, the reviews looked decent so I figured Id give it a try. The service was absolutely horrible! Actually I was kind of shocked considering it was myself and 2 other guests in the restaurant at 5pm. I ordered tacos al pastor and asked for no onion, well they brought me what they called "tacos al pastor" which was burnt marinated meat with no pineapple but they sure didnt cheap out of the cilantro! I literally had to scrap off the pile of cilantro just to get to the burnt meat. So I figured maybe they had an off night, well I went back the follow night and ordered the same meal and honestly I think the service was even slower! the meat was burnt the same as before! What a disappointing experience!

I am having great difficulty understanding the two negative reviews, but I guess we are all entitled to our opinion. I ate there often when Casa Ramos was in Gold River and the food, etc. was always excellent. I have eaten several times at the Rancho Cordova location and so has my son. We have both found the food, decor and service to be excellent. No restaurant is perfect, but we have never been disappointed with our meal at Casa Ramos! The portions are always generous and prices very reasonable. The place is always packed at dinnertime, with even more people than there were at the Gold River location. Apparently many of us do enjoy Casa Ramos.

When Casa Ramos was open in the Gold Center complex my wife and I ate there semi-regularly and it was very good. We would both have rated it a 3/3. We were sad when it closed down, and very happy when it re-opened in this new location. Unfortunately something has changed for the worse. A friend and I went for lunch today and we both would describe the meal as bland and mediocre. The flavors were uninteresting and barely there. The chips were good, but the salsa was meh. The food was properly cooked, but it could have come from any second-rate chain restaurant. Id rather eat at Chevys, and thats not saying much.

Great pitcher of margaritas shared with family. We all loved the quest dip. The combo plates, and fajitas were yummy. Loved the roasted carrots in the sampler fajita. Down side was we were there with little ones and there was a drunk at the bar that greeted me and then when we were seated he came over to our table and carried on for a few uncomfortable minutes. I didnt feel the staff tried to keep him at the bar or send him on his way.

The service was excellent, margarita wasnt skimped on, and the taquito was delicious. However I gave it 2 stars because the Molecjate was absolutely disgusting. the beef was chewy, over cooked, and flavorless, and the sauce tasted like it came from a can, the only redeeming part of it was the chicken that was cooked ok but still generally flavorless. Appetizers and drinks are about all I would go again for.

I go here far too often. Its logistically convenient, but it gives me the opportunity to say that it is always good. Service is excellent and the food is great. This is a small chain in Sacramento, family owned, and they are very consistent with their meals. Bring the family or go after work for the happy hour!

If i could give zero stars i would...we spent $80 on food got home to eat it and theres an extremely long hair in my kids food...when i call the lady was acting as if i was lieing and when i asked if they wear hair nets she said some do but the rest use hairspray to keep the hair from falling....like really!?

Fantastic! Everything was right on the money! The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was great. We never wanted for anything and the busser was very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend the chili Verde as well as the relleno burrito. Excellent experience!

Limited food choices for Happy Hour. Nachos were pathetic! Ive had WAY better from dive bars and I can make better in my microwave. Salsa seemed like it was from a big can... Good job adding diced onion to fool people. Doubt they will be there very long.

Drnks were decent, service was ok, my wife gave her plate a passing grade, I ate about half of my fajitas, I wont even take it to the dogs , the guacamole/lettuce/tomato looked like they had been left out to dry. Weve eaten here before but not again.

Yes, the food is good, but for me it was just too expensive. A soda was $3.25, which is just crazy. A small lunch for a single person was over $12. Not even the best Mexican food Ive ever had justifies that price, and this was not the best.

Ordered some crispy tortilla with pulled meat, rice, guacamole, brown beans. Decent Mexican meal. Wished the guacamole portion was bigger though. Conveniently located off the interstate (from SF to Lake Tahoe). Not too expensive.

This place is always good. Food quality is great. Our waiter seemed a little distracted. Never came by to check on anything and we had to flag down other waitresses to ask for refills, napkins, check and boxes for our food.

Friendly servers, but not very attentive. Prices are high. Food was ok. My taco was soggy on one side but I tried it anyways. It was a chicken taco and had a seafood taste. Ate there because it was closest to the hotel.

Seafood enchiladas were not that good. Rice was mushy and tasteless. Thank goodness the chips were edible. Their hot salsa is green, just so you know. Only out of sheer desperation will I return.

The service and staff were great but my chicken quesadilla was below average. The chicken was over cooked and the food arrived cool, enough that the cheese in the quesadilla had already solidified.

Food is what you should expect from this type of Mexican/American restaurant. Mild spice, tasty comfort food, melted cheese everywhere. Would be 5 stars, but service can be a bit slow sometimes.

Dont let the prices fool you, the portion sizes are huge and the food is delicious. Also a great place to go for a casual drink to go with your food.

My personal favorite Mexican food restaurant. Both locations in Rancho Cordova and Lincoln are equally good and consistent.

Im not sure how they justify the high prices. The food was ok, but nothing fantastic. Wait staff was friendly.

My coworkers liked their meal, but my dish had that processed chicken taste. I will not eat there again.

Canned salsa? Anyhow not very good. Margaritas a little weak. I did not try the food. Nice staff.
