The one-flat-price-customizable pizza places are on the rise, no pun intended. MOD Pizza is the nearest customizable pizza place around the Richmond/Pinole area other than another customizable pizza place in Berkeley, Concord, and Fairfield. Ive been to this place twice and from both times the people have been very friendly. I have ordered the MOD and the mega pizza. The mega pizza is basically a double crust with cheese between the crusts. For a normal MOD pizza (whether you decide to order a certain type they have created or not) it cost $8/9 for unlimited toppings. The mega was $10 for the same unlimited amount of toppings. MOD does have an array of toppings but not as much as other places Ive been to and some (not all) of their ingredients tasted almost generic. I can say their veggies taste fresh and as for their meats it taste like other generic meats Ive tried. If anything I recommend getting the regular MOD pizza and go crazy with your hearts desire. Its also one type of crust which is thin crust and its cooked in a pizza oven so it might take a few minutes to get your pizza; its a very short wait. The people there are super friendly and their ice teas are refreshing. They also serve beer, so its a plus to those pizza consumers who need some alcohol with their meal. MOD Pizza does satisfy pizza lovers appetites and it can be on the pricey side compared to chain pizza places and their $5 deals. That is why I recommend getting the $8 pizza because you get a good size. Customizable pizzas can be addictive, so beware but really, who can say no to pizza? Happy eating!! P.S. They do have gluten-free crusts, makes it even better to eat pizza! Yea-uh!! ^O^

This place is great because you get great tasting pizza in fast food time. Weve been here 4 times and will definitely come back for more. The way this place works is that you pick your pizza/salad size, then add as many toppings as you like(there is no charge for toppings, only the size of the pizza) and withing 5 minutes of them throwing it in the fire, its ready. A couple of downsides include the fact that the pizza sizes are kind of small, and also that its located in a really busy shopping center so parking can be a bit tight at times. Other than that, I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Great build your own thin crust fresh ingredient pizza. Overall a great quick and fun pizza place. I would have given them 5 stars if they were more generous with the toppings that are your favorite. Today I noticed roasted asparagus as a topping. I told my pizza maker I love asparagus! I only received a small sprinkle of asparagus and then was moved on. Bummer. Maybe next time they will listen a bit more. Overall still best pizza in town.

We love the build-your-own feature of Mod Pizza, the friendly staff, tasty ingredients, and the prices. Our only complaint is the noise level that makes it hard for us (older folks:) to hear ourselves in conversation. The music is too loud and the high saturation of ceiling speakers and the sounds of metal chairs screeching on concrete floors are all distracting.

Good pizza & salads at very reasonable prices. Their larger-sized pizzas are a little bizzarre because theyre the regular small pizzas stacked on top of each other with some of sauce & cheese serving as glue & toppings on top as usual. Im probably not describing it very well- - it was weird but I still enjoyed it.

Was totally turned off to the idea after my first experience with piology. This place had completely turned it around. Love this place, the food is right in because you make it. The price point is worth it for sure and the changing specials are ways new and not a rotation of the same thing.

Our favorite personalized pizza place in the area. Ive given some pretty crazy orders and they always make it without question. They do warn you if putting an ingredient on top of cheese will make that ingredient come out possibly burnt. Their teas are great too.

Order wasnt ready on time. I had to wait an additional 20 mins. Everyone was just standing around. I also wish the pizzas were bigger. Didnt realize they were so small. It barely fed 4 people.
