As a volunteer firefighter and a human being, I am absolutely disgusted by your actions. And by the way, what you did is ILLEGAL!!! From the California Labor Code: 230.3. (a) No employer shall discharge or in any manner discriminate against an employee for taking time off to perform emergency duty as a volunteer firefighter, a reserve peace officer, or emergency rescue personnel. (b) Any employee who is discharged, threatened with discharge, demoted, suspended, or in any other manner discriminated against in the terms and conditions of employment by his or her employer because the employee has taken time off to perform emergency duty as a volunteer firefighter, a reserve peace officer, or emergency rescue personnel shall be entitled to reinstatement and reimbursement for lost wages and work benefits caused by the acts of the employer. Any employer who willfully refuses to rehire, promote, or otherwise restore an employee or former employee who has been determined to be eligible for rehiring or promotion by a grievance procedure, arbitration, or hearing authorized by law, is guilty of a misdemeanor. (c) Subdivisions (a) and (b) of this section shall not apply to any public safety agency or provider of emergency medical services when, as determined by the employer, the employees absence would hinder the availability of public safety or emergency medical services. (d) (1) For purposes of this section, "volunteer firefighter" shall have the same meaning as the term "volunteer" in subdivision (m) of Section 50952 of the Government Code. (2) For purposes of this section, "emergency rescue personnel" means any person who is an officer, employee, or member of a fire department or fire protection or firefighting agency of the federal government, the State of California, a city, county, city and county, district, or other public or municipal corporation or political subdivision of this state, or of a sheriffs department, police department, or a private fire department, whether that person is a volunteer or partly paid or fully paid, while he or she is actually engaged in providing emergency services as defined by subdivision (e) of Section 1799.107 of the Health and Safety Code.

Let me start by saying that the service was very good... I ordered a salad that I have had many times before and like very much. This time however, the lettuce was wilted and the salad poorly prepared. I attempted to mask this with a little extra dressing. About a 1/3 of the way through I took a bite into a rancid piece. I sent the salad back. The owner Carlos came to my table and had the audacity to suggest that I was somehow at fault for eating a portion of the salad. I explained that it really didnt matter when the rancid piece hit my mouth!

Went there with a small group and had a terrible experience! It took forever to get seated first of all. We ordered off the menu and when the food finally came it was nothing special. In fact the pizza was the worst. Cardboard crust and toppings that came right off a frozen food service truck. The worst part though was watching the owner, a short hispanic looking fellow, berate his staff in front of everybody and stomp around the place like he was tony montana from scarface. Bad place with bad food run by a tyrant. ...

First of all, the owner;s nationality has nothing to do with this incident. In my opinion, Jerks come in all nationalities. And so do liars, the news accounts have quoted him as saying that they had many reservations that day. Going to the website,( of which I made a copy) the restaurant doesnt take reservations. Personally, I think the guys a scumbag for the actions he took against the firefighter.

ATTENTION: the pint size Mexican looking owner is very incompetent of his eatery and his attitude towards customers is despicable. Food is horrible in all origins and besides the other accurate comments......I might add that this owner has attempted to fight people in his own establishment........... guy needs to go back to running a taco stand!

Went here with family to see my uncle while on vacation. They had the best pizza Ive had in years. I got a Calzone that had pineapple in it that was just mouth watering. I would recommend to anyone. The staff was friendly and they even have a bar if you arent so hungry. I wish there was pizza like this where I come from.

This review is for the Lake of the Pines restaurant. We got the same waitress two weeks in row. Service was sad. She over charged us the first week. The second week she was almost as fast as a sloth and over charged us again. Will not be going back again. Bad employees = Loss of customers. To bad their Pizza is good.

Ive seen some of the whiners complain about the owner and staff. YOUR NOT FOOD CRITICS. the staff at the Northridge BUST THERE ASSES TO MAKE YOU HAPPY. Im completely happy with their service. If you dont like it. THEN GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. ;)

We had 8 people, so the owner sat us in the game room.had to keep on checking for service. When we got our food, half the meal was cold and over done. Went to support a good cause but finally my wife understands and will not return.

Kind of a dive and the food is either a total over the top hit or a complete miss, but its consistent. Their pizzas and salads are awesome! There burgers and sandwiches not so much. Good overall and the staff is always friendly.

Large variety of menu items with very reasonable prices. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. 4 stars instead of 5 because of long wait to get the order served and the place is looking a bit worn around the edges.

The owner suspended one of his employees for not showing up on time for her shift.....because she was with her crew of VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTERS SAVING A HOUSE FROM BURNING DOWN. What a jerk.

used to be better but the last few times have sucked i would only go there if you cant drive to grass valley ..haahaha
