Something about this Sam Woo seems a bit off compared to the other branches in the area. Service is a bit slower than the other branches. Oddly enough, their standard drinks like lemon tea and Hong Kong milk tea are unlisted on the menu. If you dont want to be disappointed, I would stick to the wontons and roasted meat items on the menu since that is their staple. The egg noodles in the roast duck soup were not as flavorful and bouncy as I would expect. However, the pieces of roast duck in the noodle soup were surprisingly large and meaty. The roast duck itself had great flavor as did the wontons. The curry beef over rice was a bit flat in flavor on a bed of overly dry rice. The braised tendons texture was a bit too soft for my taste but some might like it that way.

Sam Woo has been one of the first chain restaurant that offers Chinese BBQ. They are know for that, and thats about it. Their food is actually just average, and cleanliness is subpar. I once found a tiny cockroach in the soup. Their customer service is very little to virtually none. Their take out section are the worse. I have seen more than few occasion where customer do not speak or know their lingo, they were quickly agitated and unwilling to explain or clarify. Perhaps its the management problem. I spotted this telltale sign when I saw a employee eating her meal while working on the cash register.

Fast and tasty, and really well-priced Cantonese BBQ. Especially the lunch specials (almost every day!). Disclaimer, my family and I speak Mandarin (not Cantonese) but we are regulars and get great service every visit. From my observations, the same is true for Western customers. Finally, I would state that this location is by far superior to other locations of Sam Woo.

The staff was really nice, real smiles, courteous, and very prompt on taking our orders, to serving the food.... with kids they were able to distinguish and ask, thus giving us a highchair and booster seat that were clean..... they were fantastic... the food there, you know Sam Woo its always great.....

I liked this place more as a kid. Seems like older generations are keeping the place alive. Their duck, pork, etc combination plate is pretty good, everything else is passable. Service is not that great, but prices are cheaper than most, if not all, other Chinese seafood places.

Good but not great. Exception was the wontons which were pretty good. The chicken curry was not so good and neither was the bbq pork. Also had a chicken chow mein that was ok. With so much nearby competition, one would expect better.

Chinese food, we had different dishes they were all very good. Some people on the reviews complain about the service. I think its cultural, in chinese restaurants they are there to bring the food not to chat. I find this ok.

The Chow fun, fried rice and BBQ pork are all great. Today we had two new dishes, beef with ginger and scallions & Vietnamese style deep fried fish. I loved both of them but the fish dish stood out. It was amazing!

We come here at time since my relatives love this place but I feel they are ok. The food is not as good as other Sam Woo since the things they serve tends to be a little different. Service is ok and the food is ok.

I love this place, depends on the time you go I guess and if you know Chinese. Even if you dont they are nice and know English. I love their walnut shrimp, bbq pork, duck, fried squid, and house special beef.

The BBQ pork and duck are very delicious. My personal favorite is the crispy roast pork. You can tell when its fresh because the meat is savory and juicy, after a couple hours it will taste dry

Its a Sam Woo. BBQ is great, everything else is OK, service is spotty and the décor is dated but why are you going to a Sam Woo for the décor? Very much "Chinese restaurant from the 80s".

Love the soups & congees. They have a "quick-serve" counter where you can choose cooked food selections, buy in single orders or combos. Food is fresh & tasty. Not sure if they use MSG.
