WARNING DANGEROUS & ODDLY PREDJUDICE JAPANESE RESTUARANT! My wife and I got there around 8:00pm we were the only ones standing at the front entrance unattended waiting to be seated, soon after 5 other customers came in behind us the Japanese Hostess immediately gave her full attention to the people behind us until I became intrusive and raised my voice telling her we were here first, only after that did she want to save face from any further embarressment not to mention mine! After we were seated we had to wait unusually long for the waitress to come to our table. My wife wanted to leave, I should have listened to her because after we finished our dinner (which was NOT prepared properly) I got an extreme case of diarrhea and my wife got a stomach ache and suffer even more the next day! I REALLY regret that I didnt review this place before going!!

Not a bad place for happy hour. Otherwise, stuff here can get expensive. The sushi and rolls are pretty decent, good enough to keep me coming back. Only having Sapporo on tap for happy hour did make me sad. I would have much preferred Kirin or Asahi. Maybe some Suntory for when Im not in a beer mood. I have never had a problem with service, and even when it seems busy, the wait isnt too bad. Its in Old Town so godspeed to those trying to park on a Friday night. I would recommend signing up for the Red Mask card. Benefits are generous. $15 credit on your birthday and anniversary of signing up on top of your accrued points. See you here during happy hour for some some decent chain restaurant sushi!

Okay, where to begin... First of all Id like to state that I love Kabuki. The food is great, the sushi is fresh, and they just know quality food for a great price. My only concern with the place is the lighting and staff. Everytime I go, the server always seats me in the darkest and loudest area possible. Therefore, making it impossible to enjoy the food. I always have to ask to be seated in a brighter area. Then, the servers are always understaffed and they take a while to take our order or take our payment. Overall, great food, always love coming here for a good refreshing bite to eat. The quality in serving and lighting is just making it less pleasant.

Im really happy with their improvements lately :) great quality food. Sun kissed roll is always awesome. The broiled mussels are my favorite appetizer topped with lots of squeezed lemon juice because it adds that perfect finishing touch of yummyness. Ive been going to kabuki for 7 years and I have never gotten food poisoning. This location is by far my favorite. Another great appetizer is the lobster dynamite ( squeeze lemon juice onto it to really make it perfect). My son loves this place too. Very kid friendly. You can dress casually too its not some pretentious place that requires fancy clothing. Kabuki ,how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

I frequent Kabuki as it usually has seating available and they have great happy hours. The sushi is standard not exceptional - but its what you can expect for a chain restaurant. The outside seating is nice and so is the inside- the asparagus is excellent and the salads are great as well. The sushi bar is ok at this place- would prefer to sit outside and the service is right on-- very attentive. I usually stop to get a quick bite and I am in and out- not a place to really hang out at. Does the job for me when I am hungry and want something reasonably priced.

I love this place! Happy hour runs fro 3PM to 6Pm. They have a great selection of appetizers, rolls, salads and drinks on there happy hour menu. I suggest the asparagus garlic salmon roll. It is amazing! They also have a reverse happy hour at 9PM to 11PM. It is limited, but if you want a better price for sushi it is still a good find. Sometimes when you sit at the bar you get left out. They dont have a specified waiter for this area. You may or may not get service. Otherwise I absolutely love this place!

The atmosphere was nice at sunset as we sat outside. The food was about a 3 as far as Japanese food goes. If I hadnt gotten a bad case of diarrhea 1 hour later, I would have given it 3 stars. I had the Poke albacore tuna, a Suporro beer and edemame. Not sure which caused the sickness but its 5 hours later and Im still sick. Ohh, be careful what you eat here or be sure to coat your stomach with iron first!

This review is for many visits i have made here. I have been here many times. Lunch, dinner, omakase, chirashi, udon and etc. I had most of the items on the menu. When i first went to Kabuki Japanese Restaurant. It was amazing. Second time too. But it seems like the quality is going down as time goes. Plus, i hope they will focus more on training their cooks and servers.

Super fresh sushi! Amazing mackerel, scallop and salmon. I always sit at the sushi bar, the sushi chefs are friendly and helpful. You do have to order as much as you can at once, the chefs are generally very busy and not super attentive. I have sat at a table before, the service in that sense is seriously lacking. So sit at the sushi bar and get some super fresh sushi!

I would strongly recommend NOT ordering the spicy tuna crunch roll because it looks like BRAINS!!!! Also, being a minor, I was sexually intimidated by my waiter who was trying to rape me and making innapropriate comments (and he "spilled" a drink on my friends lap so he could clean it up for her...) (he was hot but still). AND charged us for the mess!!!!!!

Good presentation but not good food. Lobster roll was too salty, some of the Sashimi had spice in it and it was too spicy. Our Edamame was practically inedible and our server had a bit of an attitude. It was just disappointing. Atleast they gave me a small ice cream for my birthday, that was nice.

We went here for dinner, say yes when they offer you the bread! There are several different types and they are tasty. We had the tuna tartare appetizer, plenty for 3 to split, it was excellent. For dinner we had the short ribs, quail, and scallops. The short ribs and quail were excellent.

Great first experience, had table ready for us when we arrived, great service by Grace!! She made sure my fiance had an awesome birthday. The sushi tasted fresh and the ice cream was the bomb. Returning!!!

The Otis Bar here is fantastic. Great drinks, service and atmosphere. So convenient for the train. I love the filet tacos. They arent cheap but they are yummy! Restrooms need a little more love.

First time at this location. I only go to Kabuki for happy hour. Otherwise I think the prices are a bit high for what you get. The spicy tuna salad is better than most others Ive tried.

Happy hour is always awesome for a quick dinner or snack. Depending on the chef will determine how big the sushi rolls will be. Otherwise very good service and quality of food

Great place service and food. A little expensive for my taste, and i feel like the variety of combination plates is a little low. Other than that, would highly recommend
