Flies, Flies, Flies and smidgen of poor customer service. Europane offers some of the best pastry offerings Ive yet found in California and unlike many self styled European Bakeries these actually are reminiscent of real European cafe fare. To top it of it is close to work so i figured I had a great daily go-to place. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be - this place makes absolutely no effort to control flies - the main glass display has no back doors allowing flies to buzz around inside and land on everything - absolutely disgusting. The poor customer service came directly from the owner whose name is Suki I believe. I had ordered lunch from there fairly regularly before I realized the fly problem was so acute - that said I once ordered a sandwich on ciabatta and was made to wait about 15-20 minutes before she came back out and said they had no ciabatta. Then she asked what bread do you want and rattled off some choices. I chose another type of bread. 5 minutes later she came back and said they were out of that one too and that a third type of bread they did have would be great for the sandwich - no apologies, no customer courtesy- just nothing. Well the bread she suggested actually sucked and completely ruined the flavor of the sandwich. Whatever, i could suck it up but for the fly infestation - until they fix that I wont be back.

Drinks: Iced Latte, Gruyere Cheese Bread Euro Pane has a pretty hot location on Colorado Blvd, right across the street from Paseo Colorado. I will often drop by when I go for my afternoon coffees. I know that this places namesake is its breads, but Ive taken a liking to their iced lattes. The iced lattes here have a smooth milky aftertaste which after that bitter coffee sip, puts the LA LA LA in LAtte. Ill have to try the food here one day, since practically every lunch hour, this place has literally every outdoor seat occupied. NOTE: There are 2 Euro Panes on Colorado only a couple blocks away from each other?! This review is intended for the one closest to Paseo Colorado.

This place has been a long time favorite. I dont even know where to start . However as Euro is part of its name it would be nice to see this place honor euro breakfast with traditionals like bread, butter and cheese - not cream cheese, just slices of swiss, havarti or ementaler... Their sandwiches are great - the egg salad is a favorite along with the chicken salad and the salmon. The coffee is great too, Nice theres is always milk available for the coffee - not just half and half. The staff is amazing. and dont get me started on the macaroons....

My friends and I arrived about a half hour before closing and it was obvious that they wanted to get out of there. They were out of most breads by that time and the staff was already cleaning and packing up. My friend asked to use the restroom about 5 minutes before they closed and they said No, that they had just finished cleaning it. Really? What did they think she was going to do in there? Maybe some splashed water that could have easily been wiped up with a paper towel? I dont think I will return and I wont recommend.

Euro Pane Bakery is almost always a cut above anything else available in Pasadena, or even outside the Westside. Her pastries are always flaky, delicate and buttery and the bakery frequently features many newer pastries and creations being introduced locally. Euro Pane was among the first local bakeries to have macarons, and theirs right from the start were great bargains, large, fresh and luscious, unlike many I could name. The variety of offerings and their high quality are simply unobtainable almost anywhere else.

I was at a convention in Pasadena last week, at breakfast almost every day there, at lunch a few times too. Everything was fresh and good, the service was excellent. I had an egg on the giant english muffin a few times, it had feta, it was really good. My friends had the egg salad this morning and it was the prettiest thing Ive ever seen on a plate. I wish Id ordered it. If you are in the area, you have to try this place.

Yes- its a very Euro Bakery. Try the salted Caramel macaroon and chocolate croissant. The quiche was pretty good too- heck try all their foods. Their coffee wasnt too good though- lots of other good places for coffee. Euro Panes coffee is a little more acidic than what I am used to. Sometimes they dont have what you want because they are shipping it over from their home store and it hasnt arrived yet.

This location is not quite as "fancy" as the Paseo location. But the food is all the same (like the delicious egg salad sandwich). One thing I really appreciated was the angle of the sunlight at this location as compared to the other. I realize that thats strange, but the sun shines very brightly through the main windows at the Paseo location, so even inside is no relief for the heat.

The roast beef sandwich when paired with the rosemary currant bread or olive bread is one of the best textured RB sandwiches Ive had. The only thing that bothers me are the fruit flies that seem to buzz around in both locations pastry displays cases. Theyve discouraged me from snagging a delicious tidbit quite a few times.

Great sandwiches and salads. Pretty good coffee. I have been coming here for years and find myself drawn to all the classics. The egg salad sandwich may be the best in the entire metropolitan area. The bakery is also excellent, all the breads for the sandwiches are made in house, and dont mess around - buy their cookies.

I tried the giant macarons here. They have basic flavors like strawberry, lavender, etc, but the macarons are huge for such a great price! I tried lemon, lavender, strawberry, salted caramel, pistachio. The macarons didnt crumble easily when I bit into them and the flavors were light. Theres ample street parking.

Amazing croissant, pain chocolate, Galette de Roi and other pastries. This specific location does need a little interior update. I usually bring friends to the other one. Coffee (specifically lattes are not good) so we tend to take pastries to go most of the time to eat at home.

We recently ordered 2 dozen macaroons for a baby shower from Euro Pane. Not only are they bigger than average but the favor is quite delicious. They have a great variety of favors and you can call in advance for them to reserve you the ones you want.

Sumi used to work for Nancy at La Brea Bakery. Try her apple/pear strudel. Egg salad sandwich is probably the best anywhere. Macarones are good but a bit on the sweet side. Their coffee is from Jones, another Pasadenean favorite.
