Sometimes I feel a little adventurous and say to myself forget your favorite ramen place and go try something new! Sometimes it pays off but this wasnt the case. I ordered the Dahatsuten thinking it should be their best since it is named after the place. I had the soy broth as I read some negative reviews about the pork broth. The broth was absolutely flavorless except for the garlic of course. A lot of garlic, but hey I never complain about garlic. The toppings were OK. The pork kinda blend and the egg is just a normal egg no flavors whatsoever. The worst thing for me was the noodles. Eeeekkk! So So under not aldente just under done and they tasted so cheap. Not good Not good at all. The only pro is the fast service and thats it.

I LOVE this place. BUT the food is delicious and the staff is amazingly friendly and the service is fast. The Raman is cooked to perfection, the all important egg is ALWAYS perfectly soft in the center and flavor full. And i cannot say more wonderful things about their various pork dishes - from pork belly to Cha-Su. I also love their beef tongue, karage chicken, and white tuna appetizers. I know that the decore is not great and that the location is a bit wonky. But you have to give it a try.

A decent lunch place marred by a noisy environment, slow service and long wait times. Their signature dohatsuten ramen with to Katsu broth are good, and so is the oyako Don. (chicken and egg over rice, the egg was nice and runny and flavorful). Service can be pretty bad. You have to hand over your card to pay or else they never come to your table, refills are upon request (which does admittedly conserve water) and it takes quite a while waiting during the lunch rush.

Love the house special Dohatsuten ramen here. The thinly julienned ginger atop the bowl perfects it. Lunch special, which allows one to add a small rice bowl to it, is a good deal. Have been eating here for >1 year now and still loving it. The only detractions are: parking is somewhat difficult, and the queue can be long on weekday lunch (also Sunday lunch after the church next door lets out). It is also a bit hard to eat here with a toddler during peak period.

The food is full of color, and texture as it enters your mouth it is a spontaneous explosion of extravagant flavor, warming your body with every bite, the food, soft yet soothing, providing sheer joy and pleasure. Now, as you eat, ask yourself where have I been? and have I been living under a rock, like patrick, from spongebob? go and enjoy theyre delicious, heart-warming cuisine and you will not regret it. Also, I most certainly do not work for them.

I got the ramen set, ramen with tonkatsu broth and pork belly don. The broth is good, its clean and flavorful. The ramen noodles were ok, I like them firm and theyre a tad on the soft side. The pork belly don was really flavorful and went well with the ramen broth. I was stuffed and I thought the meal was good overall. The place is off a busy street and has a hole in the wall feel, which is pretty cool.

Solid Ramen Joint. They offer a wide array of broths (incuding vegetarian) and toppings. I have had the ramen and the yaki meshi (very similar to Korean bibimbap). I personally like to get the ramen set when I am hungry. It includes a small rice dish like tuna on rice. The decor is very Japanese, thought it isnt like the hot and steamy Ramen bars in Japan. The service is great and very consistent.

Ramen is what she is known for and for a good reason. With 5 kinds of broth to choose from, you have a lot of choices. Shachu pork is tender melt into your mouth. They also have donburi in a regular size plate now. Donburi used to have sauce. Now dont have it making it a little different. Outdoor seating all year round. Usually pretty crowded and long wait. Check Google map for a less crowded time.

Fantastic ramen place! I love their Dohatsuten signature ramen with tonkotsu broth - good ingredients and super tasty. The place is relaxed and unpretentious. Service was friendly and good. Note theyre not always great at answering the phone, so just turn up. Also, they turned the sign on the door to "closed" at 8.35pm on a Saturday night, so best not to come too late. I will definitely be back.

Good sized bowl of ramen when youre in that mood for some noodle soup. I get a ramen craving about once a week. This place is small, but theres outdoor seating to accommodate more people. I ordered the dohatsuten ramen. I dont know if it was the soup or what, but it was really, really salty. Im going to opt for the something else next time.

I brought the whole family even though Im the only one who likes Japanese food. Started with gyoza, OK but nothing wonderful. Three of us had ramen: generous portions and quite tasty to a Western palate. Service was OK; food took a bit longer to arrive that I thought, but was carefully prepared.

Its atmosphere was like a ramen restaurant in Japan. I think this restaurant serves reasonable Japanese-style ramen :-) I had tonkotsu ramen and chicken karaage, both of them were tasty. It will be better if pickled ginger is topped on tonkotsu ramen, and we can order kimchi as a topping.

Ramen is the main things here. However, there are more to it than just ramen. Good selection of Japanese tapas. My fav is fried tofu and chicken karaake. New additions are donburi. They only used to have them as side dishes. Now come in a single portion bowl too. Highly recommended.

I had eaten here once about three years ago and it was soso. I just had lunch here again with coworkers and the ramen was much better than i remember. The broth was flavorful and the chashu was tender and rich. Had gyoza as well. I will now have to eat here more often.

This is a decent Japanese place, with some very good dishes. The tsukemen is excellent, and fairly uncommon in the area. The chicken karaage is very good, as are the yaki onigiri (which are practically deep fried in their crispness). Ramen is only OK.

This place is jam packed at lunch for a reason. The food is great for the price. I came at 1130 and the inside was full by 12. Ramen was very good and the spiciness was just right- enough to clear out the sinuses but not too much more.

Ramen has definitely improved since a year or two ago; the tonkotsu is much less oily but still had good flavor. Some cold and unevenly cooked toppings still brings down the rating some, but much more impressed since my last time here.
