I usually dont give bad review for a restaurant base on couple of bad experiences, however if its 2 out of 2, people should know what they are getting themselves into. Going to a restaurant and waiting for a table is not unusual and Im usually dont have any problem with it, especially for a busy place that 30 minutes wait isnt that bad. What was more irritating is after sitting down for an hour, (after we ordered right away) our food has not arrived, and not even the appetizer. Because its new and wanted to cut them some slack, so we didnt want to rush them and wanting to see if someone will come and check on us. After seeing tables next to ours, which were sat after us, receiving their food and even almost finishing them, we starting to wonder how much longer we will have to wait. After flagging one of the server and asked about our order, he came back and told us that they "missed" our order and they are prepping them right now. Came back and apologize, and basically that was it. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy the food there, but was very disappointed at the services and the way they handle this situation. I would appreciated if a manager or someone can pay more attention to us, before and after the screw up. Perhaps I ask too much for the customer services now days, and shouldnt expect much out of people. The ramen place across the street serves great food and also has always been busy but they never fail to deliver great customer services. Would I come back again, probably only for the food and nothing else. frank.tsai

A solid ramen shop, with shorter lines than the insanity across the street at orenchi. Well worth saving an hour to eat here instead. Good noodles, decent broth, and some of my favorite chashu of any ramen place ive been to. The chashu is thick cut and flame grilled, giving it a little bit of nice char. Its what keeps me coming back. That, and the lack of insane lines. Of course, you better like miso based broth, as thats all they have, but I find places that specialize tend to be better at the few things they do have. A good place to come when you want some ramen at the last minute and dont want to wait for orenchi or santouka.

Ive been here a handful of times and really enjoy everything about it. Im not a person to return to any particular spot unless the food is really legit. The potato wedge thing just cracks me up but it seems to work. Get the fried chicken and potato wedges in your ramen and its like KFC has gone into the ramen business. The kome broth is thick, salty, fatty, and delicious. The noodles are soft and springy at the same time. I cant help but slurp the bowl clean every time. Ive never had to wait more than 20min for a table and the service is always quick and friendly. Misoya has become my go-to ramen shop until further notice.

Terrible communication skill and wrong info on menu... bad service outweighs the taste.. Ill spend my money at Orenchi or Santouka next time. Asked for corn in shiro ramen, they took all the meat out and replaced them with corn. That was not mentioned when we asked the server to add corn. They charged for the corn too but thats mentioned in the menu. Asked for extra noodles (its an option in the menu). They said they can only give extra noodles if asked when ordering the ramen and not later. We asked three minutes after the ramen arrived at our table and that apparently was too late.

I am Japanese. You can trust my review. Authentic Japanese style miso ramen with different types of miso from different regions of Japan. I went with the kome miso chashumen with added Egg & Butter. The broth was rich, full-bodied, meaty, and delicious. The Chashu was tender and well seasoned. The marinated soft-boiled egg was perfectly done and pairs well with the miso broth. The noodle had the right chewy tenderness to them. If you are a fan of miso ramen, then you must go here. If you are a miso-lover, forget the wait at orenchi, because this place is just as good.

Food: 4 Decor: 3 Service: 3 Came here for lunch Sunday around 1pm with a party of 4. Wait was about 10 min. 1. Shio miso cha shu ramen, 11 ~Pretty good. Quite a bit of ramen though, and I had some trouble finishing it. Broth is also the lightest out of all the ramen, and I liked it more than the Nagoya broth. 2. Chicken karaage ~Delicious. Perfectly fried, and the curry dipping powder was excellent. 3. Tonkatsu ~Pretty good. 4. Cha shu ~Pretty good. We ordered this as a side, and it didnt get soggy like the one in my ramen. Free rice and tea by request.

Visited here during a weeknight. I felt like I was ignored for a long time despite the place being empty. A few people came in behind me and their waiter had their drinks and food order placed before I even saw my waiter. They had their food before me even though I had arrived ten minutes earlier. The ramen was okay, but I wouldnt pay their asking price for it again. Their gimmick is they put fried potato and chicken in the bowl with the soup. Its not bad, but definitely doesnt make up for the poor service.

We were waiting in line across the street (Orenchi), but decided it was going to be another 1/2 hour+ (after the 40 min weve already waited), so we left and found this place. At this point, we were starving, so anything would have tasted good. Overall, the ramen as pretty good. I think theyre all miso-based (hence the name?), and the mame-miso (pictured) was good. The pork (cha-siu) is fatty and really good.l

The food is really tasty. Solid. Consistent. This place loses out on inattentive wait staff and an outdated decor and atmosphere. My only real complaint is that this place doesnt take American Express. I cant treat my team out to a meal as itll be a headache to expense back at my office. Go solo or with foodie friends. A little difficult to pull off as a place to impress while on a date or work lunch/dinner.

I went here 3 times and I love their ramen. I think they make their gyoza fresh not the frozen kind. I dont like the ramen place across the street because they tend to have longer wait. Misoyas soup is not as oily because everything miso based. I have a baby and this place has plenty of room for my stroller. I would come back here again and again!

Favorite ramen place in bay area hands down for me. Broth is superb not too salty and just tick enough(shiro ramen). Get the chasu pork ramen the 3 slices of pork belly is comparable to a 1/4 lb patty and maybe even bigger per slice!!!. If your looking for a place for ramen this is it. Beware on the weekends this place is crowded and will form lines!!

True score is more like 3.5/5. We came here for ramen as Orenchi was closed. You have choices of different types of miso ramen. Overall quality is not bad, but not great either. Extras (pork, eggs) are bit expensive. Atmosphere and service are good. Place is clean. Again, ramen is decent, but if you want great ramen experience, look further.
