Finally a no frills Indian restaurant in Oakland. I know, Breads of India is in down town Oakland, but I found the food there to be nothing special, but pricy. Ok, back to Biryani Kabab, its a small restaurant so get there a bit early to make sure you get a table for lunch. They have daily lunch specials which is great because sometimes its a better deal than off the normal al carte menu which youll need to either order rice or naan. Ive tried several dishes here, the chicken tikka masala is good, so is the chicken biryani, mattar paneer is my favorite vegetarian dish. Your meal comes with a cup of chai tea, its self service, so grab a cup. Ill be back to try many more dishes.

Uniquely one of a kind Indian Restaurant! Impressed with the quality of food served. Cleanliness of the restaurant cannot be compared to any Indian restaurants in the city. It is just spotless! Great ambience, concerned servers, lamb biryani is one of its kind and cannot be found in any other Indian restaurants of this great quality and flavors. Price is bit on upper side but if you love quality food, you will love this "Biryani and Kebab". Visit with friends, family or with work colleagues, you will love their menu and food!

I know Im being an annoying American by saying this, but: when I ask for mild spice Id appreciate mild spice. The food we ordered was all really good, just hotter than I would like. It made some dishes hard to eat without having to drink milk after every bite. The others were really good, though! Im also unimpressed with Indian places that dont include rice with their dishes. For these prices, I really expect rice. Overall, a disappointing experience. Im willing to give them another try in the future.

I ordered delivery from this restaurant and was extremely impressed with the whole package. The food was absolutely delicious and felt healthy - they seem to focus less on the richness and more on the flavors. The proprietor was also very helpful when I ordered on the phone, ensuring that I ordered the correct amount of food for the party of people I was hosting. I think he may have delivered himself and was very kind and likeable. Five stars overall!

You must stop by biryani Kabab in downtown Oakland. I had the best eating experience ever! The cheese naan was so good that I ended up ordering two more to go. Its perfectly made with the cheese in between the naan. The chicken tikka masala is the best! Its nice and creamy, I asked them to make mines a little mild and it was perfect for my taste buds! Would recommend this spot to anybody looking for good Indian and Pakistani food!

This is one of the best Indian food I have ever had. It really makes my mouth water just thinking about the chicken tikka masala. I loved their naan. it is the best naan i have ever had. The service is excellent.The waiters are very fast and responsive. I am a frequent customer here and would recommend this place to anybody looking to try real and authentic Indian/Pakistani food.

Awesome lunch specials! Each day has a different lunch special, where you can choose between a chicken, vegetarian, or lamb. For the price of $8.99, you get the entree, rice, salad, and naan! Its such a steal for the pile of food you get. Service is friendly and prompt. Theres also free chai! Tip: $10 minimum on credit cards

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! One of their staff member copied on of her customer and her accent, which could be heard clearly from the back , which is such a shame for them, the cutomer did left right away and i wont be back either there. They need to confront her and management needs to take an action on her.

Really disappointing. Lunch special cost $10.99 - "salad" was iceberg lettuce with no dressing, "tikka masala" greasy and thin, not creamy, and with very little chicken or spice. Chai and naan and rice were ok, but not enough to bring me back if you cant do a credible main dish.

Small, casual restaurant which is very descriptively named. The decor/atmosphere is a bit lacking, but it is clearly a small/family operation. I ordered the goat biryani which I thought had quite reasonable helpings of meat and tasted good. I would certainly come again.

There is no better place I have found in the city for goat meat. I always order the Goat Biryani and every time it tastes better than the time before. Perfect warm breads, and excellent use of flavors. One of my top 5 spots for sure.

The cream pepper chicken is AMAZING. Really tender. Try the warm baked sesame naans too and also the achari gosht and chicken makhani. The best Indian/Pakistan place in the bay area. One of the best ones on the west coast.
