Horrible experience!! the service was bad, noisy environment and overpriced food..I went here with my family and kids, firstly finding parking is hard there is a small lot but many businesses. Once in the place is extremely noisy. The folks in the table next to us were screaming and hollering loudly and dropping F-bombs.. the other tables with kids too were giving the staff pleading looks in the hope that they would do something about it but to no avail. As for the service the waitress forgot my order, she brought in the other main course items but forgot mine and when I reminded her about it she said the kitchen brings it out in phases.. lol not sure she understands what phases are as others were already done with their main course by then. Anyways I asked her to cancel the order as our party was ready to leave, she goes into the kitchen there is some exasperated looks at her and she comes back and tells us that she cant cancel it and if she can pack it to go, I grudgingly agreed and 10 more mins later she brings me the cheque and tells me that the food has already been given to another table and so she is doing me a "favor" and has cancelled it!! REALLY Jeez.. The food itself was bad and overpriced, the salad on the menu did not match the description at all.. When we asked about it she said the kitchen changes the order based on whats in season.. And this was cucumber salad with no cucumbers, carrots or radishes... Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.. Tons of other excellent options around

Tonight my BFF and I dined at _Top Chef_ alum Preeti Mistrys Mumbain-inspired restaurant, Juhu Beach Club. The location was formerly a new American restaurant in gothic red and black so when we stepped inside I was taken aback by the retro pink wallpaper. The plates and glassware looked mimicked disposables, as if you were at a picnic. I was blown away by the cilantro lemonade spiced with cumin -- it sounds like an odd combo but it was savory and refreshing at the same time. We had the Desi Jacks -- like Crackerjacks except with pistachios and Indian spices that packed heat. The sweet corn and gypsy pepper side was actually one of my favorite dishes, as was the special starter, a peach chutney with toast and salad. The vada pav was disappointing (the soft texture of the chickpea meshed with the soft bread, had there been crunch, it would have been delightful). The salad with puffed rice and garbanzo beans and peanuts was also very good. What I liked overall was that the food was light and seasoned very well without feeling heavy. Service was pretty attentive.

A Top Chef cooks here?... Are you kidding me? Bad Experience-Horrible food-Horrible Service $14: chicken wings: (used to be a bomb when I visited 4 months back) utterly bland and rubbish. It tasted nothing like it Read on the menu. Upon complaining about it the server retorted that the menu we were looking was old. WTF? $12: chilli paneer: oh lord what a disaster. The food actually looked like garbage on a plate. Its an over seasoned salad with inedible pieces of paneer $5: masala chai: they served masala chai without any sugar. I was made to ask twice for it and by that time my chai had gone cold. $6: sloppy lilp: $6 for one slider you say? It better be good you say? Well what you get is what you can get 3 of on any Indian food joint. The server: she had an attitude. We asked to speak to the chef about this blasphemy. She actually had the indecency to pat on my shoulder asking me to calm down and told me to write an email or call on Sunday to complain about it.

Less than 15 minute wait about 8:30 on a Friday night! Overall impression: local ingredients, creative menu, and balanced flavors. I enjoyed the light texture of the paneer puffs, richness paired well with their bed of fresh greens and a citrus dressing. The sev puri was a smaller portion than I expected, but ultimately very satisfying; the apple relish on the smashed yams felt spring-like, rather than a heavy autumn dish. The two vegetarian pavs (sliders) were marked as very spicy, but if youre used to South Indian restaurants, they will seem medium. Nice balance of silky and crunchy textures, and spicy/ sour/ savory flavors. The garam masala chickpea curry and saffron rice was good, but after the excellence of the starters, it seemed very normal. Great drink variety. Ill definitely eat here again.

The food here totally sucks. 1) Horrible Horrible Horrible service 2) Exhorbitant prices 3) sub-par ingrediants 4) Incompetent chef Among other transgressions, you dont serve one person his dinner then let the other members of the party languish 25 minutes. We finally had to give up and request the remaining meals to go. Manager refused to speak to us. Overpriced sliders were way overspiced. Spice should be a highlight, not blow your mouth into next week just for the sake of bragging rights. I didnt feel as if I ate indian food, I was still hungry as I left. The food quality and the prices offend the sense. This was a bad experience I would not recommend.

A small warm Indian fusion restaurant. The chef, Preeti Mistry, cooks right in front of you. The food is good quality & the proportions are good. Service was great. The Bombay Sandwich was really good - 4 thick half slices so it is pretty filling. The Peach n Paneer was a special and was good & creative. The vada pav and the peach sev puri were also good. Berry lassi and nimbu pani were refreshing. Ice cream with candied pecans, candy sprinkles & curried peanuts was outstanding - the candy sprinkles are unique. All in all, a good experience and a good change from the routine North Indian/Punjabi food most Indian restaurants serve.

Very cute little place and the food tastes pretty close to Bombay style street food. I was craving for the Club sandwich Bombay style while dropping a friend at OAK. This place satisfied my cravings oh! so well. Not many entré though, but selectively offered main course (which we didnt try). Also, drinks are so innovative and fusion of American/Indian style. 1 star less is only because the food was already cold when they served and fries could be better, to be fair they seemed busy so not really complaining. Would recommend and love to go again and then some if I stick around in this area.

The food was super interesting. We had the cauliflower Manchurian, the sev puri, the coconut curry, and a couple cocktails. Tim cauliflower was spectacular. Sweet but not too sweet, and they kinda bread it like a pakora which was new and different to me. I loved it. The server I had was super nice. I forget what cocktail I got but it had nimbu pani in it. It was delicious at first sip. I do wish it were a little bit more sour but that might just be me! I would 100% go here again. It was a tad expensive for me but worth it because the food was quite unique.

One star for the wall paper and one star for the drinks. The food is extremely over priced and lacking in concept and flavor, service was boring, had to flag someone down and took 25 minutes for us to get our four sliders with two other tables in the place on a Wednesday afternoon. Two drinks $18 one fried chicken wing appetizer $14 four sliders $28 Tax and tip $75 total (for lunch) Needless to say as our first time dinning at JBC we will not be returning. No repeatable dishes here.
