This place a low key Italian restaurant. Its fairly small but enough room even when its busy. The food is amazing here and so are most of the staff. A couple of the waiters have a more European demeanor when it comes to serving you, which can be a litte off putting if youre used to TGI Fridays. The wine- just wow, amazing selection and quality. Bottles and glasses are moderately priced. As for dessert, the tiramisu is top notch. Overall a great casual Italian and wine restaurant for small groups.

Belotti is my favorite Italian restaurant in Oakland - all of the pastas come with great tasting, filling sauces. The wine list is great, have something for everyone. I like how the menu is concise, it doesnt change much because all of the staples you want are on there. I have been here at least 4 times and always order pasta plus an appetizer to share (roasted broccoli was great recently). I have recommended this place to friends from out of town and family members. Will be back!

If you like pasta, this place is really lovely. The setting and ambiance are fabulous. Perfect date spot. The service is great. Im not into pasta. But.... I loved this place. The demographic was old (er). The pasta is delicious. Skip the entrees. I probably wont return, but its not their fault at all. Its just not my type of food. They really do a great job at making Italian food modern, relavant, and hip. Cute place. I love what they are doing.

The chef is creative, pays attention to detail and churns out superb, savory food. Id say hes at the quality of food that could earn him a Michelin star. Service is prompt, professional and friendly. Had steak tar-tar, spinach flan, suckling pig and flatiron steak. Everything was expertly prepared, perfectly balanced taste and perfect portion size. Cocktails were top notch too.

Superb pasta for those of us who dont go out very often. However, very concerned about the temperature of their red wines. Had two glasses of two different wines and both were warm. Not enough space? Wines right next to the ovens? Idve thought this would be fixed by now. 5 stars if they get the wine temp close to right.

Awesome food and wonderful staff. Would recommend starting with the bruchetta and a antipasto plate. The mixed drinks and wine are great as well. Both of our entrees were fabulous. Well definitely come back for more. Its pretty small and a popular place so dont go without a reservation or go very early.

The food was absolutely fantastic. We had the steak tar tar & barrata salad to start and the casoncelli and boar pasta for the main course. All meals are made fresh daily. Strongly recommend reservations, but if you did wait long, you wont be disappointed.

Some of the best pasta Ive ever had outside of Italy. Only time Ive ever been offered bread at the end of the meal to sop up the extra sauce (sì, per favore!). Plan to go off-hours (like 3 PM) or book your spot well in advance.

Great pasta. You essentially get Michelin-level pasta for around $15. Had the savory tagliatelle and risotto both executed perfectly. We also tasted the special spinach flan dish thats hard to describe but so good.
