Ate an incredibly delicious crab roll here in October. The crab was fresh, fresh, fresh and piled so high I had to eat some with a fork before I could pick up the roll. My son ordered a piece of the homemade blueberry pie that had to be more than two inches high and packed with blueberries. the chocolate chip cookie I ordered for dessert was still warm from the oven. The owners and their staff are just lovely, friendly people and they obviously enjoy serving tasty, fresh food to their customers.

The ice cream was amazing. I think we ended up getting muddy boots but I cant remember the name. It had caramel and bits of brownie. Amazing! But the price is ridiculous. Around 4.50 for a small ice cream that was really a kiddie. And 75 cents for Hershey chocolate syrup??? And the woman was rude when we asked that its really 75 cents since no where else have we ever paid for chocolate syrup. Its like a condiment with a hot dog, I wouldnt expect to pay for ketchup or mustard.

Was looking for dessert when we stepped into the Quietside Cafe. The blueberry and apple pie looked amazing so we ordered a slice of each to go. The blueberry pie was average, perhaps it was just a bit early in the blueberry season, but the apple pie was absolutely astonishing. Ive had my share of apple pie and theirs was the best by far. Awesome crust and fantastic apples. Had we known it was going to be so good we would have taken the whole pie to go!

We loved Quietside Cafe & Ice Cream Shop so much that after 2 years we called form Utah and ordered a pie to be shipped to us. The food was amazing and we would fly form Utah to Maine just to eat the food at Quietside Cafe. I would say that the food was better then any of the high end restraints that we have ever eaten at. We have been all over the world and still Quietside rates as number one.

I tried the lobster roll (15.95$) and the blueberry pie (5.95$). I must say the lobster is good, but small with on piece of lettuce, coleslaw and few pieces of chips. The blueberry pie, I did not like it, did not finish, perhaps it wasnt hot ? I have tasted many blueberry pie in Quebec, and its lot better in my opinion.

I havent even finished eating and Im writing this review. Great little cafe with friendly service and the lobster stew was tasty and almost all lobster. The pies are so delicious, the ice cream is creamy and excellent (huge scoops) and the macaroons are some of the best this side of Paris. What a great find!

Standing in front of the store you are greeted by the smell of rancid fat. Unfortunately things got worse when we got greeted by the very unfriendly owner who seemed to have little interest in us eating at her place. We stayed nonetheless and regretted it: the food is mediocre at best.

We went once for ice cream and blueberry pie, which were both great. We also went back for sandwiches and lobster stew at 9 pm since this is the only local restaurant serving food at that time. Out waitress was super helpful even though it was clear her shift was ending.

Three generations of our family have been going there regularly ever since they opened eons ago. We love it: the family, the food, the informal atmosphere. The homemade blueberry pie is the best on the island. Its fun to sit outside and watch "the world" go by.

The food is outstanding! The best homemade pies on Mount Desert Island. I didnt give a 5 star because when theyre busy (almost every time) the service can be very slow its hard for them to keep up the demand with lines out the door. Worth the wait!

Probably the best value (and even food in general on MDI). The lobster roll was incredible... And their pie. Well, you will just have to taste it for yourself. Great outdoor tables at the main intersection in SW Harbor makes good people watching.

I really liked the place and their pizzas are very good. The prices are a little high, but i get they know tourists are wandering through and will pay just about anything for ice cream. If the prices were a little lower i would give it 5 stars.

We have been going here since the 1990s. Everything we have ordered has been delicious. The lobster roll is overstuffed without too much mayo or extenders. Also a fair price. The picnic tables are a nice way to people-watch while eating.

Our go-to place in Southwest Harbor for a quick lunch or dinner. Inexpensive and options for everyone in the family. Sandwiches and pizzas are great. Homemade pies are excellent. And dont forget to finish up with ice cream!

One of the few good meals we had on MDI this week. No hype, just good food. Seafood pizza was awesome. I finished off dinner with a delicious chocolate chip cookie topped with hand dipped ice cream.

Been coming here for years. Lobster stew is excellent. Owners and staff are so friendly, it feels like going to a friends house to eat. We end up here for ice cream every evening.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I got the blueberry pie takeaway and ice cream on top. Pie was delicious and the maple walnut ice cream a great complement. Highly recommended.

Tasty ice cream and cute atmosphere, but it was a little busy and the staff adjusted to the evening rush by rudely herding customers around. Id still go back- great ice cream.

Ice cream is well worth the stop! Had something with the word lobster in it (no lobster actually in it) and another one that was a darker chocolate. Both were fantastic!

Wonderful food. If for nothing else go for the best blueberry pie on MDI. Lobster and fish chowder were amazing. Great service and owner was very warm and friendly.

$7 for two small soft served ice creams, overpriced. Also dont put takes credit card if you dont take it. Is it that hard to run a decent business

Popped in for a quick bite. Had a really tasty crab cake and a milkshake. Only regret was not getting a slice of the gigantic Blueberry pie.
