Fast food stall for paav bhaji, dosa, chana-bhutara looked stale and for number of people eating there, it seemed as if restaurant was not keen on filing it and keeping it fresh. The buffet menu looked unappetising with too much of food color used. The breads - naan was not served freshed like most indian places. Spring rolls tasted and smelled stale and looked as if they were taken out of the freezer and deep-fried just to fill up the menu list. Waiter attitude was poor. At the end of our meal, he asked us if we would like something to drink like mango lassi!! Hello dont you know WHEN to ask!! This place makes you feel cheated for the price of buffet-$14.99 compared to quality of food and service. Bombay Garden, Shalimar, Grand Indian Buffet on Lawerence Expwy beats this place hands down for same price or lower and fresh food. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!

They make good food, but their ability to accurately record a take-out order is terrible. On numerous occasions, they do not properly record my order. The first time this happened, I discovered at pick up time and had to wait 20 minutes for more food to be made. Now, I make them repeat back the order each time I order and it is pretty much always wrong. This last order, they had three mistakes in the order. The phone connection they are using is quite bad so that contributes to the frustration in placing an order. I am considering not ordering from them any more because of their lack of an ability to accurately take a phone order. Id be happy to place a web order, but I havent seen that as an option. Just as an example, it took four repetitions just for them to accurately record my phone number.

Politeness and customer service. While there are lots of indian to choose from in the bay, apart from the food which is good, explains why i used to visit this place regularly. The one thing that i am stringent and nitpicky about is CUSTOMER SERVICE. While a lot of the employees in PTI are very polite, the owner himself turned out as one helluva snob. There was this one occasion where i praised him for his good food compared to Amber couple of blocks down el camino, which i told him was just about crap as compared. Instead, his response was "eh" and cold...i didnt like that and since then I said, enuff of this SNOB ! no more Passage to India, Id rather go to Shalimar which is a Passage to Pakistani food with great flavorful choices and polite customer service.

Dirty & Disgusting place. As we entered this place, it was weird to see a sign saying to pay before having the buffet. Never seen something like this. Makes me think probably this place is either so run down that people dont want to eat after they see the restaurant inside. Washroom were absolutely Filthy and its very clear owner or manager does not care and shows how disrespectful attitude toward your customer. Silverware on table were having stain marks visible. Water glass was dirty looks like never went thru dishwasher. Since we came inside we just had some dessert and left. Dare not to even look what they had on the buffet. If the outside is so filthy where customers can see, makes me wonder how the kitchen would be? TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE-

This is my favourite place in South bay.. their Indian Chinese is so good.. the chilli paneer actually tastes like the info Chinese chilli paneer in india.. and their weekend buffets are also good.. their North Indian isnt as good as the Chaat and Indo Chinese.. but when u have the buffet there are so many options that u definitely end up finding something great.. in terms of North Indian buffet I wish they would make some good paneer tikka masala or kadai paneer but unfortunately their paneer is always something secondary to the non veg dishes.. the non vegetarians always get a good selection for the North Indian gravies though. All in all, I love this place

I took 3 of my friends for dinner at this place. The food is great. *** But the attitude of the service sucks.*** When the person waiting our table brought me the check, I was surprised to see a hand writted note. "Please add gratuity of 15%". I always believed the amount of gratuity is directly related the service and professionalism of the person waiting your table. I was a bit surprised to see this is their expectation. I suggest the staff take few 101 courses in hospitality service. Hope the management is reviewing these comments and raises the standard of their professionalism.

The food here was really good and they have a huge variety. It was crowded on the Saturday afternoon I was there but not so crowded that we had to wait for a table. We had the buffet and everything I had tasted very authentic and spicy. Be careful when eating some of the dishes, as there were quite a few bones in some of them. The decor was also very nice and there was plenty of free parking outside. We paid about $75 for 4 people which I think was a great price for an all you can eat buffet with so many different dishes.

This is my "go to" Indian buffet. The dishes are fresh (they cook in small batches), they always have lots of vegetarian options, and best of all...for dessert they have a soft-serve ice cream machine serving Mango ice cream....YUM!! It is because of the mango ice cream that we often choose to eat here instead of other Indian buffets (Amber is just up the street) that have slightly better food.

One of the best Indian buffets Ive had. Theres a lot that can go wrong in a buffet, and they avoid the major pitfalls, primarily by keeping the food fresh -- Ive always dinned during a busy lunch hour, which is likely contributing to the fresh food selection. I dont care for the desserts drenched in sweet syrup, but that seems typical for Indian dessert.

We were pleased to find an Indian dinner buffet; most places only have their buffet at lunch. They had a variety of Indian dishes, including Indo-Chinese. Some of the food is just okay, but for people who like to gorge on Indian food, or groups who want variety, its great. The naan was hot and the staff were very attentive, keeping our water glasses full.

The food is really solid and has made Passage to India a pretty consistent choice for us. Weve only ever ordered take out (or delivery as part of a corporate lunch deal) but weve never been disappointed. The butter chicken is great and weve never had to wait for to-go orders. Their website ordering interface is also reasonably modern and functions well.

インドの友人お勧め。美味しいインド料理が食べられます。ベジタリアンもOK。奥にも部屋があり、30人くらいの会食にも使えると思います。今回は12人で利用。

I ordered a Togo and it was the worst Togo ever. Veg Manchuria had lots of salt, the veg biryani was plain rice with few veggies, absolutely no flavor. And to add to this disaster was billing, they did wrong calculation twice and made me wait for about 10mins at the billing counter. I would not recommend Togo order.

In town on business. The restaurant was within walking distance of my Marriott. The food was SO good. Saag Paneer, Naan, and Kheer for dessert. This is close to the best Indian food I have ever eaten. In addition, the staff was attentive and my pick-up was ready when I walked in the door 5 minutes early.
