A seriously overrated restaurant that cashes in on its hype but serves extremely poor flavored and poor quality food. We ordered the House Special Prawn (its the same flare their house special crab gets except that its shrimp...and it doesnt cost $30, its around$11) Yeah, we were not impressed sorry every body. The fact that its deep fried with eye drooling crunchy garlic on it doesnt help. The batter they use doesnt add any flavor. Its basically crunchy oil with garlic. Its not like eating tempura that is actually really good or other fried dishes that youve might had in the past. This really doesnt offer anything to your palette. The pictures are more appealing to look at than the actual taste unfortunately. If you just want to taste oil and garlic (you cant even taste the shrimp) you might enjoy this. The other popular dish youll see on most tables in the Tofu and Bean Curd. Again, it looks more appealing in the pictures than the actual dish. Which is depressing because youd expect it to be exploding with flavor from the soft tofu, mushrooms, broccoli, peas, and a eyeball pleasing sauce but you cant taste any of that. Its a one note dish with no complexity to it. Very sad. Its just all texture which is sauce with no flavor. Next up was the House Special Pork Ribs. The sauce is a light sweet and sour type sauce but it taste like they bought a jar of it from 99 Ranch. It tasted pre-store bought and not home made. The meat pieces were good but annoying to eat. They are chopped in in small chunks with random bone and knuckle bits in every piece. Its complicated to eat. Theyre not big enough to easily eat around the bone and cut too small so the only way to really get the meat off is to put the whole thing in your mouth and hope you dont chip a tooth. Not impressed. The ONLY thing we got that we were impressed with was the House Special Fried rice. This was the only show stopper that we both stopped and said "This is some DAMN fine fried rice" It has bits of crab meat and crab flavoring throughout the rice and its cooked with egg whites. There was tons of flavor, this really is the only thing worth getting here. What made the meal worse was the fact that everything is over priced. Most all of the plates are $11-$18. Our bill at the end of the meal for 4 dishes was close to $60. Not worth it. For the lack of quality in the food and the over inflated price this place is really not worth your money. If you want a better quality meal and better bang for your buck I would recommend going to Elite Restaurant in Monterey Park instead. Youll be much more satisfied.

I love their House Special Crab! Where else will you find garlic crab at such an inexpensive price? People pay a lot for this dish at The Stinking Rose. Customers mainly come here just to order that dish. I also loved their version of egg drop soup. It tastes perfect! I also had their salted fish and chicken fried rice. It mimics the standard flavor of Chinese fried rice plus little bit of salted fish here and there. Im addicted to that type of flavor when youre chewing something normal and then you come across something deliciously salty. If you want authentic Chinese food, this restaurant is definitely the place. Get here early because this place can get packed.

So glad the place finally reopened!!! Now it called Seafood Palace. This is the most authentic Chaozhou-Cantonese restaurant in town with very reasonable price. The House Special Chicken made of free-range chickens,as the crabs are wild caught from the sea. They are the best among tall the dishes.

Love their lunch specials. Its a great value for the food. The tofu clay pot and both fish dishes are outstanding on the lunch menu. Off the lunch menu (meaning normal and dinner menu), the house chicken, french style beef, and garlic crab are fantastic. Great place for Chinese style seafood.

Authentic Cantonese /Chiu-chow style. The food quality is as good as top ranking restaurant in Hong Kong. Prices are acceptable but not cheap. The cost and the prices are reasonable. However, avoid order fried rice, any regular Chinese restaurants in SGV make better than SV.

I Like their food.. i loved their lobster and crab. the best i ever taste so far. but they really need to work out on their customer service. they serve you better when you order crab or lobster. but they serve you suks when you just order lunch special. but overall i like it.

This is probably the best Cantonese food in the LA area. While not as good as Hong Kong, my wife, who is from Hong Kong and Toronto, says the food is as good as Toronto. Make sure you try the crab with the garlic. It is very very good.

Yummy food, I suggest ordering family style, you get a lot of food, and your group can share. Kung pao chicken was very yummy.
