Very good lumberjack breakfast, 2nd visit here - delicious both times. Had the house omelet w/ hashbrowns on second occasion - umm um. I saw while perusing the menu numerous delicious looking items that I must return for and try such as, beer battered fish &chips, BBQ ribs and chicken, Salmon, Pot roast burger, salads, choices galore, quite extensive menu. So far the food is as tasty and presented as in the menu pictures so Im looking forward to the lunch and dinner entrees. Very friendly and capable staff on duty. My table had our drinks refilled almost every time our server walked past as well as another server pitching in. Its hard to find this type of food quality and service in well established restaurants anymore. Hoffs Hut was a favorite but they have closed so many locations that theyre hard to find. Carrols, keep up the good work in Monterey Park and you will always have return customers.

Of all the Carrows Ive visited in the San Gabriel area I like this one the best. It has a cozy warm feel to it. The servers for the most part are really great and make you feel like part of the family. They also have a patio which is cool to hang out in. This Carrows in Monterey Park can get extremely busy around late breakfast early lunch hours where the lobby is full of people waiting ro be seated (especially if you go on a Sunday prepare to wait). Ive heard several patrons complain time to time about how long the food takes to come out....HELLO PEOPLE, its a packed restaurant with a waiting list, what do you expect???? The food here is really good, just good Americana comfort food, nothing special but hearty. I like their food and service a lot better than iHop or Dennys.

Alrighty a couple of years back my family came here to try this place out for some reason I was convinced on their advertisement on TV. All ima say is it took forever for us to get seated even though the place wasnt packed sadly the food itself took forever to make like comon it doesnt take more than 15-20min to make everyones simple order a burger with fries and 2 orders of pancakes with bacon and hasbrowns. This place seems a hard to try restaurant to be like Dennys but id rather go to Dennys because they know how to cook things faster/right and have better service.

Im taking 2 stars away because there was a womans long piece of hair on my hashbrowns.. I was nice enough to let it slide and not bother too much since Im not grossed out easily, but, had this happened to a different customer, chances are they would have complained about it and asked for a new plate of food or a refund.. Other than that, the food was delicious and the waiter service was great.

Food is good and service ok! But, this place needs a major clean up and replace furniture! The carpets very dirty, wallpaper coming off, tables not very sturdy, restrooms very dirty with graffiti all over, and management refuse to turn on the A/C!! This restaurant has been in this state for several years but the owner refuse to clean and or remodel!
