Im usually satisfied with the food in this restaurant and the waiters are for the most part always friendly. However, tonight the guy on the register August 13, P5:30 pm, was absolutely rude and condescending from the moment I walked in. His tone, his mannerism everything about his behavior. I thought he was on drugs. I thought maybe it was just me until I looked back and saw another customer looking at me like what the hell? I was so embarrassed. He took my order, swiped my card said sign and left me standing at the register. Not even an Ill be right back. I sat down waiting on my order when he finally came back he took both receipts and put them away. I said well Im I going to get a receipt? He just handed it to me. Another customer came in same unprofessional behavior. "Hey boss sit wherever you want". The phone rings he answers it YEAH. Im like is this guy ok? I just got my food handed to me by a waitress, thanked her and left. Seriously, please put this as a cook or just throw him in the walk in freezer. He should not be dealing with customers at all.

So, the beginning of my experience was fantastic. The Vietnamese coffee is so, so good. When it comes to the food, spring rolls are fresh, the regular rolls are normal. They dish I ordered was the combination fried rice and as soon as I seen it thought, this must come from a box. The rice was clumpy. A little stale with a weird color. The flavor wasnt bad but when I got my bill for $17.91 I was a bit discourages. I may have had 5 bites. I also am not a fan of having more than one server. In my case, two different people were helping and one was pretty unfriendly. With the exception of the coffee, this place was overall disappointing. Enjoy at your own risk.

When opened, the atmosphere was pleasant and the food was tasty, but like too many other restaurants, when tourists hit and business expands, many aspects fall apart. The food now tastes bland. The portions are smaller. They serve less vegetables with more rice. The soup bowls are big, but mostly filled with flavored water and tons of noodles instead of meat and vegetables. And the crowds, well, theyre simply too many people, and the overwhelming noise of voices trying to speak over other voices is nauseating. I know, the photo looks delicious, but that was taken many months ago.

Delicious, and great value. Pho is aromatic and flavorful. A tad sweet for my personal taste but at least they dont cheat by loading the MSG. Combination pho includes non-traditional elements like shrimp and grilled chicken which is interesting... Bun Bo Hue is unexpectedly fabulous. Spicy and full of beefy goodness. Even better than most places Ive had in Southern California. Place was packed but they got the food rolling out like no ones business.

What a wonderful find! My wife and I split a large (extremely large!) bowl of won-ton soup, shared an order of spring rolls and each had a sandwich of our own! Too much to eat for sure. We decided we should have cut something, but what? All of it was so delicious. The bread was crusty, the spring rolls came with a yummy peanut dipping sauce and the soup had lots of glass noodles, fresh veggies, and won-tons. We would eat here again, for sure!

No problem with seating. I ordered the house fried rice. The plate was warm the rice wasnt. I felt the rice had been sitting in a warmer. It was not fresh to order. The waitress told me she could warm it back up. She said I ordered it; I would have to pay for it! I had to tell her I would not. Finally she said she would remove it. They tried to offer me some fresh rice that just came up. I said no thanks. The onion rings was hot and good!

We were a little skeptical at first, since weve never had Vietnamese food. We were staying at the Monterey Surf Inn and decided to eat there since it was a VERY short walk. I am so glad we did, because the food was INCREDIBLE! The Pho was an amazing blend of flavors! Since arriving home, we have made it a mission to find Vietnamese food as good as Chopsticks! So far, no luck! Thank you for the great service and perfect food!

Came during lunch so waited a while to be seated. Food is reasonably priced & pretty decent but is too salty for our liking especially the fried rice which is also hard. My wifes fried rice is definitely better. Overall, quality of food is not so great. We had far better pho before too. Service is pretty good though & most of them are also Vietnamese making the place a little more authentic.

They gave me the wrong order and when i let them know they said that the menu item had changed its content items but it that they would put the original missing ingredients on a plate. When they did they literally gave me 1 shrimp and 1 thin strip of chicken. It was very disappointing and the service was just okay. Could have been so much better

Drove pretty far to get here. 4 in our party . Ordered about $60 worth of food. 4 Pho soups , egg rolls and drings. After ordering the waitress told us they do not have pho soup at the time. A Vietnamese restaurant not having Pho makes no sense. We all walked out and they didnt have a problem with that either. Bad experience. Will not return.

Chopsti serves the freshest meals and in generous portions. The lemon grass beef is tasty, continues to be a mouthwatering favorite. Flavorful spring rolls, and the tender green papaya salad are another favorite meal. Chopsti also has many types of noodle soups, and bar-b-q platters. Try a boba drink, my favorite is the green tea. Enjoy!

Weve been driving up through CA from San Diego and this was our favorite place to eat so far. Cant believe the prices are so cheap and food is awesome. My recommendations: Taro and Coconut milk tea with boba, summer rolls and steam bun for app, sweet and sour chicken and lemongrass chicken sandwich for meal. And all of that was under $25.

The food is good and reasonably priced. But there is only one restroom and its outside adjacent to the restaurant. My son was taking a long time in the restroom and an employee banged on the door and yelled at my son as he was coming out of the restroom. Not a way to treat customers and their family.

This is the best, affordable food in Monterey. Healthy ingredients, lots of vegetarian options, and great for pick-up or dining there with beers. Pretty much a staple of our household when we dont have time to cook. Veggie Spring Rolls and Spicy BBQ Tofu highly recommended.

The food is affordable and thats what most people came back for but forget about service, you might as well get take out rather than dine in. Dont fall for the calamari, is very saturated with grease, nor the fried banana with ice cream unless you like over -ripe banana.

This is by far our favorite place to eat in town, or at their other restaurant in Seaside. The food is always perfect and fast. The staff is friendly. We are regulars and have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend. Karen & Ian
