my situation is similar to Sogol. First of all, i work at a different Olive Garden; however, one of my friend is leaving the country, so we decide to eat at this Olive Garden instead. Our Server did a pretty good presentation at first, but it went down hill after that. maybe its because im a olive garden employees and i know the procedure and our server is not doing it. also, we had been in the restaurant for 2 hours, and ive only seen a manager walked by once (but didnt talk to anyone). anyhow, i didnt pick on her for all those because i dont really like to give people problems. however at the end of the meal, i told them i work at olive garden but i had direct deposit and therefore unable to have a current pay stub. the server went back to the office and come back to tell me that i cannot have the family discount. i have to ask to talk to the manager in order for her to come to talk to me. after that, she kept telling me about how much time it would have taken and how the "correct" procedure it is for us to have our pay stub ready when we decide to eat at the restaurant. im just so mad at them doing this to a fellow co-worker because at my restaurant, we serve our restaurant as if they are the kings and queens. now the manager gave me such a hard time... and the way she said it... "theres no way i can give u the discount". i had to offer her a solution, which is to the olive garden i work at to verify it. at last, she decided to just give me the discount but not calling my restaurant to verify my employment. i guess thats what she called procedure. and i didnt even get the managers name..

I am a RedLobster Employee and we get a Family discount at all Darden Restaurants, if we present proof of current employment. Unfortunately I didnt have a current pay stub since I have direct deposit, so I asked the Server if I can log in to the online system to prove employment (we are all employed by the same company and the system is the same) my request was denied by the manager, John; He told our server that other option is to call the red lobster I work and ask for my manager to Call back to verify my employment. So I called and gave my manager the number and the name and she said she will call back right away. Over an hour later, after I verified with my manager, she said she was on hold for John, she was told he is busy and she couldnt wait on the phone anymore. I waited OVER AN HOUR to find that information, our server did not come to the table in the meantime either. I had to stop her and ask her to bring the check and I ended up paying the full amount cause I was tired of waiting - To be honest, It wasnt about the money, at this point it was more about the Customer service and even if John really couldnt give me the 25% family discount, he could at least come to our table in person and explain and I would have totally been ok with it. I do the same thing for a living and I dont let my customers sit there for an hour without a word being said to them. specially if their request couldnt be met. Olive Garden is one of my favourite restaurants, unfortunately I will not go back to this location.

I love ittalian food however at this olive garden its not worth getting my favorite food. Everytime i go in this location the service is awful. The food is good if not on the slightly pricey side comared toother italian resturants around. You wait 15 minto be seated on a good day, once in your seat it took 20 min to even see our server and get our drink orders in which. We did not recieve until 10min later when we decided to take our food order. That was the last we saw of our server as another employee brought our food. We waited for a good 20 min after completeing our meal and finally had to ask the manager just to get a check. The food was average but definatly not worth the 3hrs it took to get it or putting up with the lack of service, instead I suggest mama d's in manhatten beach. Much better food and much better service for a cheaper price

Ive been here three times. The first time it took over 90 minutes to conclude lunch due to slow service. The food was not great. The second time still took over an hour to conclude lunch due to slow service. The food was terrible. The third time we visited here, we sat down, received menus, and watched other groups get sat after us and start receiving appetizers before anyone even bothered to come take our drink order. Thats how terrible the service was. We walked out while the staff said "thank you!" to us because they were so inattentive they didnt realize theyd just left an entire group without service. Im honestly not sure what they were thinking, it was only 11:30 and with their slow service theres no way a group had finished eating by then. I will not go back.

Me gusta pero es muy inestable con sabores y la calidad de servicio algunas vezes esta delicious y otras ocasiones es un desastre los meseros son amables y otras ocasiones un horrible servicio creo que se trata de que manager este en turno. Pero me atrevo a opinar esto por que ya son años de venir aqui y experimentar esta inestabilidad de servicio.

I met my daughter-in-law and her friend at the Los Angeles airport on August 25 and we stopped on our way home to eat at the Olive Garden which was a restaurant they both loved. I had not eaten there for the last 20 years so what a treat it was!! Ozzy was our waiter! He made us feel like we were celebrities!!! It was such a marvelous experience for the ladies as they had not been here before. I was so impressed! I hope you are aware of what a great employee you have been blessed with. He was simply amazing!!! If I ever get to pick up company visiting from out of state, I will be sure to visit your establishment again. Thank you for making our visit so memorable. Thank Ozzy for me as well!!

Food was great, however the service was horrible. The waiter catered to his (same race) people more than he visited our table. Didnt put cheese nor ask if we wanted some on the salad, he didnt bring straws, didnt offer basic nessecities. He even forgot to bring the receipt even after we tipped him!!!! I probably would have overlooked the terrible service if he treated his whole section the same. It was clearly evident that he was more comfortable with his people.

This was my first visit to an Olive Garden restaurant and I loved it!! Very economical and huge portions. I think I was full just after the free soup and bread sticks. Enjoyed the rest of my meal and a delicious mixed berry sparkling water. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being too clingy. The food was delicious and total value for money - would definitely recommend. Bring this chain restaurant to Australia....please!!!!

First time here but will not come back again. The waiter has an attitude and shows no professionalism. Our salad was not fresh. Part of the lettuce was black. (Ewwww) The soup was normal. But the bread stick is good. Moving on to entrees - the trio was a good try but not excellent. The steak pasta was overpriced and tasted weird. Give it a miss, especially this outlet. There are better places around for Italian food.
