Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day…. but I hardly ever have time to eat it. So when I choose a place for breakfast/brunch, I be sure to choose wisely. Southern Kitchen offers excellent food with great service and will not disappoint. The food here is GOOD and the portions large enough to really fill you up. I pretty much ate until the brink of throwing up, and I still wanted more! The service is super friendly where they’ll even get down on a knee to take your order. The place is pretty small and gets pretty crowded. We came around 1pm (I guess that’s not really breakfast or brunch anymore), but anyways there was still a short 10-15 min wait for a party of 2. I would highly recommend this place if you’ve got a craving for a good hearty breakfast with service to keep you smiling.

The first time I ate here I truly enjoyed everything, the food was great, the place was clean and I was especially pleased with the excellent service. The second time was less of a stellar experience but still in the stellar realm. The third time was a disappointment, the food was average, the service was slow and more interested in flirting with another customer than on waiting on her stations. The owner/manager was there and didnt seem to care or notice. I even saw a guy drop a cleaning rag on the floor and start to walk away. One of his coworkers pointed out that he had dropped the cleaning rag to him. He picked it up and walked away using the rag to bus and wipe down a table. I will return because of my previous stellar experiences but will keep my eyes and ears open.

Lowering my rating: last two times we came here they had too many flies inside. Since this is not a one time thing, it needs to be resolved. Talked to the manager, he says they tried. So this can not be solved thys unlikely we will come back here again. Cleanliness is important. Previous review: Great brunch. Their apricot french toast us a must try. There is generally line here so expect that. Parking is a bit hard as well.

The food here is the best you can get for breakfast. Rose the owner really knows how to treat you so dont worry about the service, its the best. Go early on the weekends because the line goes out the door. Food is excellent and the portions are more than enough for even the big guys. I have ate there many times because its one of the best in the area. And it wont break the bank for the family to eat there either.

One of the two best breakfasts in Los Gatos, the other being the Los Gatos Cafe. This homey little place is often packed on the weekends, and with good reason. Weve been regulars for many years, in particular because this is one place you can get an excellent buckwheat waffle (not on the menu). They have homemade sausages, biscuits, grits, and really friendly and super pleasant and efficient wait staff.

Great place for breakfast on the eastern side of Los Gatos. Small but they seem to find a way to pack a lot of people into that space. The sausage gravy and biscuits are immense! The French toast dish was even larger. My suggestion would be to get those things and split it amongst four people.

There can be a wait here but the food is well worth the wait. The Shrimp and Grits are my current favorite dish. The banana pecan buckwheat pancakes are also pretty amazing. Parking can be tough since this is Los Gatos but with some patience you can normally park nearby

Great food! My coworkers and I went for a brunch meeting. The French toast was delicious. My coworkers got the vegetable omelet and pulled pork Benedict. They both loved them. The portion sizes were a good size too and the staff was friendly and the service was fast!

My wife and I love it here. The food is just what we want for breakfast or lunch, and the service is excellent. You may need to wait to be seated, but its worth the wait. We drive from Sunnyvale to have a nice meal on weekends or holidays.

This is my favorite breakfast option in Los Gatos. Fantastic options if you want to eat healthy, and by far the best side of fresh fruit Ive had anywhere locally (aka not just the unripe pieces of honeydew you usually get).

Though the place was packed we were able to sit at the counter. Once our server was caught up(the place was super buzy) and took our order the food was served very quickly. The food was spot on and the service was great.

Well... Food is good, but when there was a long line they made exceptions for friends (jumped the line) who boasted about getting special treatment on mothers day. Bad business practice. Unsure if Ill ever go back.

Southern comfort food on the west coast. The food here is amazing. The restaurant is very small though, so you may have to wait a while for a seat. The portion sizes are very generous, so I would suggest sharing.
