Our first evening in South Bay and we were told that Jack Rose Libation House was a Fave of our tour guide. We decided to follow per direction and drove up a suspucious mountain late in the evening that can easily trick the mind. Narrow road paired with sinister laughter, your bound for a perfect Scary story! When we finally found the cabin like lounge, we noticed the beautiful lit tree. I was instantly excited! The insides of the bar house was an even more exciting eye sore. I loved every thing about this place from the bathroom to the different book birds hanging around the bar. The drinks itself was all very delicious, the great part about coming with a group you can get a nice taste of everyones drink! I personally enjoyed the manhatten a lot, as it was their signature drink! We did come late in the evening so kitchen was closed so we didnt get to sample any of the food. Overall its def worth a visit!

Its pretty rare in California to be one of the first 10 or so folks to review a place. You pretty much have to be there the week it opens. And I was. Too bad my review is another week late. Its a bit chilly, but Im always cold. Still, it gives off a pleasant vibe of being a strange chalet. I expected any minute for men in snow boots and women in scarves and gloves to come tramping from across the stoop and behind them in the doorway, the Swiss Alps like a postcard. The whole place is covered in wooden paneling with the stuffed heads of animals like hat racks on the walls. Alas, through the door was a California parking lot. The best drink of the night, though, wasnt on the menu. My friend wanted something based on milk or cream and implored the bartender to make her something. It was delicious and completely mysterious and as I sit here, I wish I had one. I actually wish I had two.

This place is amazing - that pretty much sums it up! For the past year I have been looking for a place that serves up a killer cocktail in the South Bay. The mission started after going to Zero Zero in San Francisco and having an incredible cocktail called the "Bangarang" which was amazing. So back to Jack Rose - they topped Zero Zero. Literally, the best cocktails I have EVER had and on top of that, the bartenders were incredibly knowledgable. We learned so much about their drinks, and they really are CRAFT cocktails. They hand-make everything, which contributes to each drink being spectacular. They also now have artisan pizzas which are AMAZING, on Fridays they host LG Food Fest where lots of food trucks come and they do live music AND last, but not least, Sundays are "Sunday Rum Day." What are you doing still reading my review!? Get over there!

Weve been visiting Jack Rose at least once a month for the last few years now. Cant beat Jack Rose for a good bourbon cocktail. Their bartenders are world-class, literally having competed and won world bartender competitions. Our favorite drinks are the Jack Rose and the Tupelo Honey. Its a great location snugged in between Saratoga and Los Gatos. They have lots of outdoor seating on a large patio out front and a large tent out back. Both are full of heaters in case it gets cold. The inside is cool too, with couches in the corner, but a little hipster-ish sometimes. In the summer, they have live outdoor music on Friday nights. They also usually host a craft beer festival once a year toward the end of summer which is a lot of fun. Only 4 stars because of the service. The servers are always very nice but they are so slow.

In A Nutshell: -Jack Rose Libation House is a great place to hang out & enjoy some really awesome drinks plus comfort food! -I had several of their libations, but the one that sticks out the most for me was, "A Day In San Juan". -It looked good & tasted even better - definitely going to come back again for that drink. -The burger & fries were tasty, especially those fries. -The pizza seemed to be a very popular order. -I broke down & ordered it after seeing so many pass by. -The corn hole game is a great addition, especially when your buzzed to the MAX. -If you are single & ready to mingle, I would suggest going here. TRUST ME. Overall, I LOVE the layout of the place. It reminds me of a tree house/fort, but for adults ;)

Hmmm... Was here on a Sunday for second time; Food, drink, and atmosphere are awesome...as it was the first time. This time the service was lacking. Very long delays on even SEEING any service staff, it looked like there were only two of them for a busy night (house was at least 75% full). I would give it a 4 star normally but tonight a 3 at best so average a 3.5 but rounding up to 4 to give them the benefit of the doubt (maybe someone was sick?). Hopefully they will staff appropriately in the future if they want to keep people coming back. I was finished with my drink AND water way before I was asked if I wanted anything else. Ill give it one more try personally...

Not impressed at all. Worst server experience in a long time. Had to get up from the table 4 (!) times to order drinks, food, get additional ketchup... Nobody came after I received my food to ask if everything is ok. I thought about not leaving a tip at all.... Food was cold/lukewarm when it arrived and the taste of the burger was nothing special. In n out serves a better burger and fries... The bar was so dark that it was difficult to see what you were eating and so loud that a discussion was hard to have. Would not come again and do not recommend coming here at all.

Still somewhat unknown to people outside of Saratoga and Los Gatos, I really hope it stays that way. Jack Rose not only has some of the best cocktails in the entire area (their punch is delicious and really has a kick), but their food is spectacular as well. Get their flatbread pizza. I had it on Friday and Im still thinking about it nearly 3 days later! Prices are reasonable and you definitely feel like youre consuming quality food. Service is also great!

Jack Rose will shock you, almost immediately. We stepped out of a bright early evening into a cool, dark lodge probably decorated by a hipster who enjoys African Safaris and the French Laundry. Confusing? No, settling. The tonic is homemade and I dont think there is a better mixologist in the 408 area code (OK, Lexington House is special.) We got hungry and were going to leave when we noticed food. Get the Pistachio flat bread pizza. Unbelievable.

Pretty interesting cocktails. It gets super crowded and the outside patio can get really cold. The heat lamp ran out of oil pretty quickly and even were told twice that it would be turned on. Drinks are around $12-$14. Food is good but pricey and with small portions. Had the burger with fries for $15. Juicy and the fries were really crispy.

Love the food and drinks here. The burger is awesome and so are the meatballs. The pizza is hit or miss (first time was incredible, but second time wasnt thrilled). Cocktails are fantastic. Jason (bartender) is really creative and puts a lot of love into each drink. Sunday brunch is great as well.
