Went to Nguyen Vu Restaurant yesterday 12/27/12 with my girl friend Muriel. We both always enjoy eating lunch there, but yesterday we DID NOT ENJOY IT AT ALL. I did complaint to the owner about how cold it was inside the restaurant (my feet were frozen) and she told me that the heating system was running and she couldnt understand why I was so cold. Later on I walked to the cashier to ask some change to pay my bill and at the same time checked the thermostat and it was reading 62 deg F. Another client who was paying her bill at the cashier also commented on how cold it was in there. So cold that she didnt her food and just wanted to get out of the restaurant. I was much warmer outside than inside the restaurant. My girl friend and I are not planning to go back there before spring season (when the temperature will be warmer).

I usually travel to Milpitas to get my pho fix, but we decided to check out a place closer to home. I was not impressed with the taste of the food compared to other places we have eaten at. The atmosphere was average. I have since been to 2 other pho places that were new to me and liked each much better than here. I believe it was the broth of the pho that turned me off.

Pretty average pho. The broth was fairly bland, the noodles were oddly textured and it wasnt served very hot. Their beef quality was good though, good rare steak and flavorful brisket. Higher quality than your average place. Overall didnt love it.

We sat down , had to get our own menus . Other people came in were seated and orders taken before ours . Vermicelli noodles were too starchy . It was hot and muggy . Prices were comparable to other pho restaurants . Ok food , shite for service

I come here for Pho and spring rolls. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Service is great and the place is always clean. I recommend this to anyone who wants a great quiet place to enjoy good Pho.

This pho place delivered a well made beefstew with the best soup base i have ever tasted in the east bay. The noodle itself can be made little better in term of texture. Overall, a great experience here.

Took business clients here > always happy! Lived nearby and this was our place (at least once per week). Try the fresh spring rolls and combination pho noodle soup with meatballs no tripe/tendon!

Best pho in fremont/newark! Good prices! Spring rolls great. Excellent staff. Cant tell you how many times ive called in at 850pm when they close at 9pm. Service has never let me down.
