Food- 5 Stars Service - 4 1/2 Stars Transaction - Negative Stars So, my family and I just moved to this area a little over a year ago and quickly found Volcano Burgers. As stated above, for an old-fashion burger joint, food is awesome. Its family-owned (or it appears that way at least) and they do seem to take great care in making sure your order is perfect. My issue is with the actual financial transaction. There is a review from 2 years ago on here for 1 Star from a user who had a similar issue as I have. For some time now, I never liked how when you ordered your food, depending on the total amount, they would round up to the nearest $20, either $20 if its less than $20, or $40 if its less than $40. They would charge your Debit Card accordingly and give you back the difference. They have never explained why they do this, but I have a good guess. For certain Merchant transactions that are done by Debit as opposed to Credit, they seem to be subject to more fees than the regular Credit option or Signature Debit as its called by some. So, Ive tried to ignore it and just accept it as just the way it is for a good ol fashion burger joint. The problem however is that it just got worse. We went there a few days ago, same thing happened with our order, except we were charged 99 cents on top of our order. Then in addition, I see that I was also charged a $2 Fee to my card on top of the food order. This is now $3 that Im paying in just fees, on top of the dollar amount for food. The issue is that within 1-3 miles, you have SEVERAL burger joints that compete with Volcano, all with great food. In addition, you have the Albertos Mexican Food joints as well, all within 1-3 miles. No one else does this except Volcano Burgers. It just seems to me, that what started out as a way to save money for them has now gotten out of control. It really is time to invest in to a decent Merchant system.

I would usually give this place a 4 star, but I do not know what has happened to it. New management? New owner? I have lived in this area for 50 plus years and Volcano Birger had been a mainstay. I now support 8 ppl in our household, and frequented at least once or twice a month. The last few times have been HORRIBLE with orders. Food is mediocre at best, but what REALLY DISAPPOINTS IS SEVICE. Got my order wrong AGAIN, and "corrected" it at the drive up window. I paid and was asked to park in front while they finished my order, which I gladly did. They were to bring it to the car. Instead, a guy came out and said that I needed to walk up to the window and pick up my order. I did, and srove home to the dismay of my kids with NO fries. I drove back, calling manager in my way back so they could get fries ready... Put me on hold for 8 minutes. By now I was already in front of their store waiting for someone to pick up the phone. The manager, evidently coming out of the bathroom, (per employee ) picked up the phone and hung up on me!!! I walked up to the window and the guy that had me walk up to pick up my order recognized me and I told the manager that he hung up on me and he suddenly did not understand English . Then a very young, stupid and rude girl slams down a bag in front of him stating here are your fries, and have a nice day! Never again

Well, couple years back I asked for a little bit of Pastrami on my fries because I had gone to a pastrami event and hardly had any. Well, that and some other problems. I like to eat fries to cure my pain, kind of like the stereotypical woman with ice cream. (Well, they like fries too). I just want to point out if you ask for pastrami, they will charge you full price (Since they weigh everything out) but the owner made an exception just for me, I think because he saw that I had a rough day. That little gesture goes a long way. So I just want to point out that I am a customer here for life and Ill always take friends here as long as you will be open Volcano Burgers!

Volcano Burgers has been on my list too long. I decided to pick a burger up for lunch and eat it at home. For less than 5 bucks, the Colossal burger is a solid deal. The burger patty was a little thin, but there was so much pastrami that the meat to bun ratio was perfect. I dont know what it was but there was an added sweetness in the burger. Ive had some darn good pastrami and this was good for a burger place. The parking is a little tight especially when the drive through takes over the parking lot. Also, eat the burger while youre at Volcano. By the time I got home, the bottom of my bread was soggy.

messed up on my order AGAIN, before i even realized this, they took a good 10 minutes to realize they didnt even cook my food, didnt apologize at all. When you use a debit card, they have to "charge $10" then give you the difference from what you bought, oh AND they charge you an "atm fee"....sounds like a scam to me. Seriously ? Cant afford a good merchant service ?....The place is tiny to sit in, hardly anyone cleans the tables, not to mention you can barely squeeze through the drive through. Def boycotting this place for good.

Volcano Burgers is one of the last burger joints remaining. Commercial burgers have Absolutely Nothing on Volcano Burgers. I first came here at 17 years of age, today I am 48 and will make the drive across 4 cities to experience their mouth watering Double Bacon Cheeseburger, and Chili Cheese fries. For 31 years Volcano Burgers has been, and will continue to be my choice for a Truly delicious burger. Thank you Volcano Burger!! I forgot to mention, their Pork tenderloin sandwich is also Amazing!!

The building is nostalgic. It has a wonderful aroma of grilling that surrounds the place with a good fifty yard radius. Volcano Burgers popularity is similar to In-n-Out Burgers, in the way of drive threw and walk in lines. Yes, its busy. Thats a good sign. The food is good. Yes, they could be a little more friendly. A smile could make it more appealing :)

Burgers, Hot Dogs, Fries and Chilli. These are the things to expect when you come here. We ordered the burgers, chili fries and a bean and cheese burrito just to see how it is. Everything was standard but good. The Chilli is what really caught my attention. Im not a huge fan of Tommys chili which everyone seems to like. Will be back for the chili

I grew up eating at this place as a kid and came back later as an adult still loving it. They make the best burgers and put a special sauce on there that is to die for. Most burger joints are ok but this place is my top 3 in southern california. Do yourself a favor and check them out. You wont regret it, and pick up the onion rings too.
