I so wanted to love this place after reading several comparisons of Habit Burger vs some of the other burger favorites such as In-N-Out and Five Guys. The first thing that put me off was that as I waited for my take-out order to be prepared, I witnessed what appeared to be the manager go directly from handling cash at the register to bare-handing some onion rings into the deep fry basket. A good washing of the hands seems in order after handling money. Seems that a manager would know this. In terms of food, the robust looking burger lacked in flavor and the bun was so dry that it fell apart. Not half as flavorful as an In-N-Out burger. Had my experience been a little better Id give it a second chance, but the hygiene factor alone, or lack thereof, will keep me from visiting any more Habit Burgers.

The Habit finally opened up in Cypress. Ive been waiting for a good burger to come to this area. I know theres a Five Guys, but Im not a fan. This time around I picked up a Char and Double Char with cheese. They come standard with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions. Pretty damn tasty. They have other offerings, but I usually stick to a old fashioned burger. For sides we got sweet potato and regular fries. The sweet potato is very good and the fries are just as good as most places. The regular fries are actually thicker cut than the sweet potato, which is what I prefer. Finally, I dont need to leave my city just for a damn burger.

I had a hamburger craving this evening and this is one of the restaurants in the area I instinctively think of. Double mushroom char with cheese lettuce wrapped is my favorite. Juicy burgers and fresh mushrooms (not canned). Always cooked fresh and never have to wait long. Plenty of parking to include a handful of reserved spots for those that eat there. Lastly, I always appreciate it when a restaurant serves freshly brewed unsweetened iced tea and not the fountain types. They get bonus points with me for serving a variety of flavored unsweetened freshly brewed iced teas: green tea, tropical, in addition to the usual black tea.

Habit strikes a wonderful middle ground between In-N-Out on one side and Five Guys on the other. You probably wont feed a whole family for $10 here, but chances are per person you are staying under $10. The burgers are made to order from good ingredients and you can taste that. I usually get the veggie burger, but the Santa Barbara style double char is great too if you prefer meat. Dont forget sweet potato fries and tempura green beans on the side!

Just expensive burgers which are fairly good but not for the price. The union rings dont compare to good ones like farmers make and an order and the rings themselves were very small. I was surprised at the steak sandwich on sour dough which put a smile in my face. My wife said Caesar chicken salad was ok but not spacial for 8bucks. Not likey this burger lover goes back except to steak sandwich maybe. Sorry , just my opinion.

It was good but it wasnt as good as other locations. Ive been a regular at this franchise for a few years now and was a little disappointed with our visit but maybe it was just us and I should consider giving it another shot. I felt the service wasnt as good as expected but we were in a rush and it felt like the food took longer then usual. Maybe it was us but i will give it another try and redo this review.

If you had to choose between five guys and the habit, go here. Theyre about the same price but I feel like the habit has an awesome selection/combo deal and their burgers were pretty well sized and plenty of fries. I wouldnt go out of my way to get these burgers over in and out though.

Excellent burgers served here. A bit crowded and cramped, and it takes awhile to get the food during lunch. I dont go here if Im in a hurry but I do go back over and over again because the burgers are so good theyre almost habit forming.
