The creep has a crepe at La Creperie Cafe *ACHTUNG ACHTUNG* Date Spot Alert! Date Spot Alert! Thats just what La Creperie Cafe is - a perfect date spot, whether it be with your friends, significant other or potential significant other ;p We had a nice lunch nearby, deciding upon a postmeal stroll down 2nd St. to check out the sights and, perhaps, venture into any businesses that captured our attention. Lo and behold, La Creperie Cafe magically appeared before our very eyes, beckoning us inside its cacophony of savory & sweet. Impressive! Chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, sofas adjacent to a piano, extravagant mirrors on the walls. All of it creating ambience with a capital A!. Bohemian, anyone? Perusing the menu, we decided we needed something sweet. Enter, the Tiramisu crepe- Tiramisu wrapped inside a sweet crepe, topped with creme anglaise, chocolate powder and vanilla ice cream. I loved this! Not too sweet, which is excellent. Sometimes, desserts are too sweet for my particular taste. The tiramisu crepe is enough to share for 2. The ice cream had the starring role, with the tiramisu playing the love interest, the creme anglaise the supporting actor and the chocolate powder the grip. Service was excellent. Our waters were refilled in a timely manner and we didnt have to wait too long for our crepe to arrive. I was told live jazz music happens nightly, which would make such a cool vibe. Chillaxing to jazz, eating a crepe, and hanging out for God knows how long. Parking is metered in the front on 2nd St. and free in the residential areas. Make sure to keep abreast of all parking signs, you know, so your whip doesnt get towed. Check La Creperie Cafe out already, you wont regret it! Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOIMNOM

Horrible Service. Horrible Food. I live right near 2nd street and have stopped going there because the its just all around bad. My husband being from France and I myself being in the service industry would very much like to have a decent French restaurant near our house. We have been there many times hoping it would improve but this last visit was surely the last time we set foot in there. Never fails that every time I visit they not only get my order wrong(one time they got it wrong four times in a single visit!) but the food is just simply not good or cooked incorrectly. If you are going to have a "French" restaurant then maybe learn to cook French food. The Béchamel sauce is just wrong and truly disgusting so do yourself a favor and dont order anything with it on it. The sauce was broken and tastes sweet which does not make any sense why because its such a simple thing to make and béchamel is not meant to be sweet ....ever. it almost tastes like they made it with vanilla soy milk instead of actual milk. The waiter was totally clueless of what he was doing to the point of me not wanting to tip(and I always tip and tip very good) I did however give the busboy a good tip because he was very nice and helpful. We have even voiced our concerns to the manager that agreed that the restaurant has a lot of problems and the is in need of major improvements. but that was like a year ago and nothing has improved. shame because it is a nice space. PLEASE LA CREPERIE CAFE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! I would however recommend creme de la crepe in downtown Long Beach. so much better! La Creperie Cafe could take some notes from them :)

The food was good and the prices werent bad either. It looks like the typical 2nd st restaurant. I am just sort of annoyed at the typical 2nd st crowd that eats here. You know who Im talking about. The "lets try and be the noisiest and laugh the loudest so everyone will look in my direction and notice how happy and what a great time we are having" type. Give it a rest. Nobody cares. Its hard to enjoy your food when some idiots the next table over are making a scene while drunk. Youre drunk off of a couple glasses of wine? Really? Anyways. We started off with garlic fries for the appetizer. I dont see all the hype everyone is talking about. Take Mcdonalds fries and add garlic. Thats what it is. This is not a bad thing however. They were tasty. I had the Salmon crepe. Very tasty and Im not a huge salmon fan. My lady had steamed mussels. Something was missing from both plates though. Some french bread with both meals would have been great.

We went to breakfast their on Sunday morning at 9 AM. It was very busy and we saw that they recently went through new management. There was a sign on the door advising about gift certificates not being honored at full value, so call before you go in if you have one. It took five minutes for our server to find us, but once she found us, her service was excellent. We had our three year old son with us who has a very short attention span - our waitress was excellent with him and quick to accommodate us all. Our food was excellent, but our biggest complaint about our meal was that three items the five of ordered was not in stock. They didnt have two coffee beverages, out of a specific sausage for omelets, nor did they have avocado which seemed to affect 4/5 of us eating that morning. Overall, I would recommend going to La Creperie Cafe, but be aware on busy mornings for them to be out of stock with ingredients.

Came here for a Birthday breakfast for my 17 year old son, seating was quick, so it wasnt busy. Waitress who took our order was pleasant. 4 out of the 5 people in our family ordered Belgium Waffles, after 10 minutes she came back to tell us that some they only had 1 waffle maker it would be a little while. Well we had a 6 year old with us and he was very hungry, so we asked to have his waffles brought earlier, which they did. When we got our waffles, they came cold, even the maple syrup and Nutella were cold. We asked for the Manager, who tried to explain the issue and save the day, but not what we wanted to hear. Only good thing is they brought a Birthday Ice Cream Sundae for my son, reason I gave 1 star.

Well always have Paris, but when in Belmont Shore, La Creperie Cafe: Bohemian Bistro & Bar is the place to be! The crepes are delectable— mouth-watering even—and the prices arent bad; in the lower-mid range (around $10-$14). And for those not looking to eat like the French do, theres a bevy of other options from pasta and paninis to poultry, steak, and seafood. I go there for the crepes! My favorites are the Le Saumon dinner crepe, folded with smoked and fresh salmon, tomatoes, dill, and capers in a mozzarella cream sauce, and for dessert the Dulce de Leche with caramel and a crispy crust, and the Martinique, served with bananas flambeed in dark rum and brown sugar with a scoop of vanilla ice cream over top.

Love this place! Each time Ive been here (long time) the food the service has been great! I try to order something different and all my meals have been amazing. I can see where some people can get a little bothered by the service, its such a wonderful place that you risk waiting approx 45 minutes to get seated...so yes, reservations is a must! Plus the serve Lavazza Coffee, my favorite. It does get busy and yes, its worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Great food, beautiful ambiance and fab desserts!! Plus...the location is perfect for a stroll afterwards.
