While on my way North I decided to stop here for a quick bite I decided to phone in my order so it would be ready when I got there. I went for their Turkey Pastrami croissant sandwich which included lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, turkey, pastrami, mayo and mustard in a delicious buttery croissant. The sandwich was packed with goodies and was more than enough. All the ingredients were really fresh and everything inside of it was delicious. They were really generous with the meats. For a sandwich and vinegar chips, my order was $10.86. For the quality and portion, I thought the pricing was very good. I love that they have so many different types of sandwiches and breads here it is hard to not find something you like. Beach City Deli & BBQ is worth checking out if you are craving a really good sandwich.

if it matters, Id rate it a 7.5. I had an 8" tri tip sandwich for 10$ and it was a solid sandwich The bread was soft and chewy, not flashy but it did its job of holding in all the meat juices. The meat was tasty , tender, and juicy from the sauces but not greasy. Every bite was mushy goodness, but i think if the bun was a little toasted or if there was another ingredient in the sandwich (onions), there would be some variation in the mix. They do serve macaroni and potato salads as sides, so I will keep in mind to purchase one next time I do get a sandwich

If bbq on a hoagie is already makin your mouth water, then by all means check these folks out. As Ive said before many times, bbq is all about the gravy. Theirs has a perfect balance between heat and sweet. Neither tasted of any single ingredient that by itself lends its flavor notes to achieve hot or sweet. The best sauces (I should know, was trained as a sauciere) or, gravies if thick enough, are rich and deeply flavorful from all the goodness melding and marrying. These folks get that.

My a husband and I tried Beach City for the first time today. After having trouble findung a REAL deli that has good food, we were skeptical. We split a beef brisket with their Mac salad. Very good. I am a baker and when they stated fresh bread, my mouth watered. Very good bread really makes a sandwich hold up. Loved it will definitely frequent this establishment.

Stopped in after seeing all the great reviews. The staff here was friedly and courteous. I tried a turkey and swiss sandwich. You definitely get a lot more meat here then the average sandwich shop. The sandwich was delecious. Could use a little bit better bread to make it one of my favorites. Cant wait to come back and try some of the BBQ it smelled good.

Beach City Deli & BBQ is by far my favorite sandwich place. My favorite is the Matt Cain. I have a gluten allergy and it is great that they have gluten free bread. Their gluten free bread actually tastes great unlike most gluten free bread. Some of other favorites include the ménage a trois and the doomsday. We order from here at least twice a month.

I just discovered this place a couple weeks ago and have already been there about 4 times. The ribs are phenomenal. Most of my favorite BBQ places cant get their ribs done like this. The sides are really good also. If Im in charge or asked a recommendation for catering, Im suggesting these guys. They put Lucilles and Famous Daves to shame.

Im hesitant to write this review, because Im selfish and dont want other people finding out about one of Long Beachs best sandwich shops. The brisket is so good here, it will ruin all other sandwiches. Im writing this review because the guys that work there are so friendly and helpful, and the sandwiches really just are one of the best.

I love the food here, but also the team that works there. Ive had the brisket (awesome), the smoked salmon (awesome), and the Cuban and Big Kahuna Sandwiches (surprise - they were awesome) Also, the dude that works there talked me into trying a pickled egg and now i grab them as a high protein snack all the time.

Totally love this deli! We ordered a corn beef platter for St. Pattys day and it was awesome! The presentation was beautiful! You guys did an amazing job and our friends and family loved it. We love the customer service! Anyone in the vicinity should stop over there.

Food is good - although I am a bit concerned that there is no city food safety inspection posted like there legally should be. Ive still eaten here - and not gotten sick - so thats a good sign - hopefully its just an oversight!

Fantastic Place if you want TAKE OUT BBQ or a bomb sandwich. Highly recommend the brisket and pulled pork SPICY. Great potato salad. Seating is very limited so, pick up your lunch and enjoy a local park or eat in your car!

Great sandwichs, they prepare a lot of their meats in-house. House made pastrami and smoked brisket are excellent! Fresh rolls made daily, order ahead if youre in a hurry.
