Im from Hawaii and Im pretty picky when it comes to my Hawaiian food ... you wouldnt expect much from L&L since its a chain but this particular location won me over. The service was average, nothing exceptional, but the food was fantastic. Whoever the cooks have been, each time Ive been, have done a stellar job with mimicing how real Hawaiian food tastes. I was especially blown away by their spam musubi ... they actually marinate and sear the spam!!! What?! Thats how its supposed to be made, yet 98% of Hawaiian place (this is all speculation based off personal experience) dont marinate or sear the spam. Their macaroni salad is also spot on with how they make it on the island. Im impressed by THIS location only ... Ive been to other L&Ls and theyre not as good ... so make note of this when you visit a location other than this one.

I was there the other night with my family around 830pm ((they dont close until 9pm). When I got there the girl that was working was cleaning up tables. The tables were clean chairs were put up inside the restaurant and the outside patio. Once I got my order in I asked her if I could sit here and she said ""NO we are already cleaning up" so I said "you dont close until 9pm" and she said "no sorry you cant its already clean" so I ask if I can seat outside and she said "oh no thats cleaning too" I was in socked that she didnt let sit I still had 30min until closing time. I just cant belive she was rude and was in such hurry to leave right at 9pm Im sorry but you have lost me. I wont be going back there.

I have had 2 scoop plate lunch in hawaii, my sister lives in Hilo, my wifes cousins live all over at this place I had a 2 meat lunch 1 - I had asked for a 7.95 item and the clerk told me I could get half and half on them meat but didnt tell me it was more money. i ascribed that to my failure to ask. The meal took forever to get ready the chicken hardly seemed cooked, was not cut up , was all strung together was hardly marinated. the beef was stringy and touch - cheap cut of beef. the salad was WARM not cold! must be shills posting good reviews on here

Service is always fast and the food is great. Sometimes there is an older lady taking orders who is slow and makes allot of errors, but I would hope if I need a job at here age, people would be as kind and patient to me as L&L has been with her. Just watch the phone, sometimes its off the hook. :)

Located in the Newland Shopping Center on Beach Blvd in Huntington Beach. One of my favorite things to eat here in the different types of chicken and rice with a side of macaroni salad. Dont ask me why a Hawaiin BBQ place would make such delicious macaroni salad....but they do!

GREAT place for good food, quick service and nice casual ambiance. Anything you order is good...they do Hawaiian food right! Love how they now offer macrons for dessert!! Good job, L&L!! Aloha.

Ok,but used to be better. A few years ago, they reduced the size of the rice and macaroni salad that come with the combo meals. For this reason, its no longer one of my favorites.

Awful. I came in 20 minutes before closing to order to go and the girl told me she couldnt take my order because the grill got turned off? Like you guys close at 9

If youre looking for a good traditional plate lunch, Hawaiian style, then its hard to beat L&L. They are like the McDonalds of Hawaiian plate lunches.
