One of my new favorite Thai places, and Ive tried many in Long Beach, and a few elsewhere. Prices were pretty much what you expect from a Thai place, not crazy cheap but not unexpectedly expensive, either. For the usual prices, though, I felt like the portions were fairly large, and quite tasty. I tried the pad kee mao, which did unexpectedly have green beans in it - Id never seen that before in that dish, but it was actually a great idea. The food also came out -way- faster than Id ever seen food arrive at a Thai place before, but I wasnt going to complain about that, either, as it still tasted entirely fresh.They also have a whole sushi menu and Chinese-Japanese fusion menu in addition to their Thai menu, which is kinda weird, but again, Im not complaining. (Unlike Your House, which tries to have both Thai and Asian-fusion menus and fails at both, this place actually seems to do both rather well.) My favorite Thai place in LB so far is still Thai Sky, but Bai Plu is not bad at all.

This place is inching towards 4 stars for me, but you always lose a star for putting Thai food with Sushi. While I understand the business need to diversify, I dont understand the obsession with Asian restaurants (especially Thai for some reason) adding sushi to a menu, to me it is a sign of inauthenticity and it will usually show up in the quality of the food. So, with that said, Bai Plu has a decent curry, and a good happy hour. It also has free delivery and uses eat24 on yelp which is very useful. We live in the area and so if I dont have time to travel to a good Thai place (e.g. long beach Thai on Anaheim or elephant Thai on Long beach blvd.) Then we go here.

This a great place for Thai food. Their sushi/sashimi is fantastic. I recommend trying the squid with chili and mint leaves. Ask for Anond the waiter or Tara the owner. Tell them you want the squid with chili and mint leaves Ramon style. Then, get ready I hope you like extra spicy! Even they chicken larb is fantastic. Try the Prik Nam Play Anond style. Fish sauce with lots of Thai Chili, garlic and lime juice. Cost per person can depend on what you order. Sushi and sashimi can get pricy depending on what you get. But that is the same everywhere. Have the Sushi Master create something for you or ask Izzy to make something for you.

I love this place because the food is great and the price is reasonable, especially if you order from the lunch menu. I like the terriyaki salmon and spicy tuna roll. It comes with salad, rice, and miso soup. Their salad is surprisingly delicious. The Thai lunch menu is a little less expensive than the Japanese, and the people Ive come here with seemed to enjoy it as well. The service is sometimes slow but always friendly.

For a Thai place, their food is pretty good, and their decor is typical modern-shnazzy-ish Thai restaurant decor. For a non-authentic sushi place, their rolls are pretty good as well, but havent tried their sushi or sashimi. Staff are pretty friendly. Made a reservation last minute on Valentines day. Got there 20 minutes early and my table was already setup waiting for me with my name on it. Impressed.

Absolutely love Bai Plu Thai & Sushi Bar! Everything is incredibly fresh and flavorful. Portion size is good, I opted for the 3 portions and added the mushrooms so it totaled $14, not the cheapest but its also just good quality. The staff was also really helpful with suggestions and pairings. They also have Sushi Bar which Ive never seen and a good thai alternative, its 80% kale/ 20% flour!

Excellent food, and very attentive service. They usually have coupons available for half off second dinner. We have an "executive card", due to our continued relationship, and that provides something like 15% off every purchase. Home delivery in the local area is available, and for us at least very fast

The owner Tara is very friendly and kind hearted. She helped with Veterans event without asking many questions. She quickly agree to support so, on top of the food and service that,I like, the fact that she is willing to support our Veterans that makes me want to go there more often.

So this place just re-opened or got remodeled or something. But its newish and Ive enjoyed going here for work lunch. Come in and get some Thai & Sushi Bar get out. Staff is always friendly and I always get my food within the time limit that I have.

I used to be a loyal customer of another nearby Thai place. There are lots of great places in Long Beach. But this is my favorite. Especially love the sushi/ Thai options. We deliver all the time. This is my favorite place to eat.

This restaurant is your typical than place in the decor with really good food. My friend and I are a lot of sushi and Thai food here. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. If you are in the neighborhood stop in a have a great lunch.

Good place to have lunch during the week. The sushi is obviously not authentic, but adequate enough to satisfy the carb craving. Id say their Thai selection is better than their Japanese selection.
