My experience of Thai restaurants is always particular because I used to live in Thailand and know o the cuisine quite well. Here I spoke to the waitress in detail to find out where the cook was from so I could order something from that region and I ordered the dish from the Northeast which is ground chicken with ground roasted rice served with fresh vegetables and lots of spicing hot Thai chili. In English its called Lop. The dish was served with sticky rice and is just as good as anything I got 30 years ago in that region of Thailand. So in short for The Expatriate from Thailand to this is extremely authentic food if you know what to order. Thats the only dish I tried and can speak on, but the overall experience is absolutely wonderful and you can hear people speaking Thai even though the owner is not Thai. Just a fantastic place with authentic fresh and delicious Thai food. Thats something thats very difficult to find in Southern California even though there are many presumably Thai restaurants.

Had a late lunch after a day on the beach. Had happy hour wine and beer. Excellent meals. I had chicken pad Thai and the husband had a spicy cashew chicken stir fry with brown rice. He love it! I am a fan of any type of Asian food. I love flavour and spice. My meal had lots of flavour and tones of chicken. We would definitely go back. We started with the Shrimp Spring rolls, which we thought were actually crispy spring rolls, they are called Salad rolls where we come from, but they were still a nice starter. Upon further inspection of the menu, they did have the spring rolls but they were called "crispy egg rolls". Bill with 2 glasses of happy hour wine and a beer, happy hour appatizer and 2 entrees was just about $60. We thought this was pretty good for great quality food and good service. Check this place out, definitely a nice change from Mexican or American fair that you will find in abundance on the beach.

What a disappointment! The food was edible, but better fare and more flavorful can be had for half the price at any Asian buffet. The calamari was pre-frozen, not fresh. The soups and main dishes (chicken and beef) bland, this after asking for "spicy". I love Thai food, previous reviews were favorable. I can only imagine that these were from folks who do not know Asian cuisine, and in particular Thai which generally is a delicious blend of spices and coconut, full of flavor and exciting to the palate. We chose this restaurant hoping to find a Thai restaurant close to where we live in Seal Beach, but now know we must travel a little further to find the tastes and preparation we have come to expect in Thai cuisine. I would not recommend....this is a place that survives because it is in a tourist destination where the transients are most likely just looking for a quick eat.. I stand by the review.

Tuesdays are Thai Tuesdays and if you wear a tie, you get half off appetizers and wine. Also, theres some awesome live music by Pat so definitely come in on a Tuesday. This was my first time here with friends and we had a blast just hanging out, listening to music, singing, and enjoying some amazing food. Parking along the main strip can be cumbersome but we managed to grab a spot right up front and by the door! Thats the luckiest Ive ever gotten with parking. Service was good - constant refills and attention. I started the night with a Thai iced tea which was well balanced and we all ended up ordering the Pad Thai which is something I always get when Im at Thai restaurant I havent been to before. It did not disappoint. Ambiance is great. If youre looking for a place to chill, have a date night, hang out with friends, etc., this place serves many purposes. You cant really go wrong.

Thai-on-Main is a treat, a well run, professionally managed , an has really great food. The setting is quite upscale modern and pleasant The owner chefs offer the freshest ingredients prepared to your liking, served on quality table settings. The suburb cuisine is matched by a wine selection chosen by the host that marries an International selection of superior quality at a fair price. There are beers from Europe and Asia on tap and bottle to supplement a domestic selection. The staff are a treat, friendly, wholesome and helpful. Come sit at the bar with the growing group of locals that have discovered this neat place to linger and dine..kuhn cee

Been there many times. Always been good overall. Shrimp Salad is really good. Veggies are fresh, Yellow curry is VERY good. Happy Hour wine for about $3 a glass. Overlooking sidewalk...great for people watching. Bring a couple of quarters in case you wind up in parking meter territory across the street. Here are the #s on the menu that we get. Appet #1 spring rolls, #36 salad, Entree #103 yellow curry w/ vegies or #103 with Chicken. Vegies are pretty darn good

This restaurant is very popular with both locals and tourists. When you go inside, the atmosphere is really lively, and the aroma of Thai cuisine is fantastic . The service is great, but the food is excellent. We ordered lettuce wraps, the Seafood Special, and grilled ginger chicken strips. It was high quality food, but only $9 to $15 a dish. This is more surprising when you consider the location. You can have a romantic dinner, but the tables are close together.

Thai on main has amazing food! I havent found anything that I dont like. Everything is good. They have a great selection including a curry trio so that you can try their selection of curries and make up your own mind. Their fresh spring rolls are an explosion of fresh flavors. Their wait staff is friendly and the owners are very delightful. They offer an eclectic array of wines and beers that pair well with all tastes and menu items.

What Thai restaurant doesnt have duck? Waitress was awful, barely spoke English and took the wrong order. When confronted about it she just apologized and tried making pay for the expensive item that I didnt want. Then the management didnt want to make it right either when she even when she admitted that it was the wrong thing. Still pretty good food except the dry egg rolls. The receipt said her name was PT01 Bird

Food was great. We mistakenly ordered a whole pot (not cup) of Tom Ka Gai soup even though the waitress warned us that was too much for 2 people. It was huge - 4 cups for each of us. But it was so delicious, we loved it all.

Very attentive service. Appetizers we had (wings, soft shell crab) were very good. Yellow curry was my favorite overall. The beef ka prao was bland by Asian standards and the meat was overcooked. Otherwise great experience

My favorite Thai restaurant in all of Orange and L.A. counties! Super delicious, everything I try! Definitely worth a visit if youre a fan of Thai food because you get good service on top of good food.
