Walked through on a Sunday afternoon during lunch to find plenty of availability. We were promptly sat down and welcomed for our first time there. We ordered the Teppanyaki (food cooked on table grill) and two appetizers. Both appetizers were very mediocre. The gioza filling was very bland and the outside was soggy. Worst, was the yakitori. It consisted of tough, dry, tasteless chicken breast with a few vegetables smothered in sauce. I took one bite and immediately set it aside. Later we were asked if everything was ok with our food and I pointed out my disappointment in the yakitori and the waitress just smiled uncomfortably. We were still charged for it. However, I did point out that we greatly enjoyed the rest of our meal that was cooked in front of us. The steak was properly medium rare as asked and the seafood tasted nice. Rice was flavorful and the cook had an upbeat attitude that made us enjoy the experience that much more. I just dont think we would become regulars at this place, which is a shame because we immensely enjoy the idea to support the local restaurants. Maybe well have to find another one outside of town where we can enjoy other stuff on the menu.

The incredible stupidity reigns at this restaurant! We arranged for 12 persons to have a dinner here 1.5 months in advance, and after 3, yes three telephone conversations CONFIRMING that they would NOT charge corkage fees for our group as we were a wine tasting group in Lincoln. The manager (who does not know how to manage) REFUSED to honor this and we all agreed to LEAVE! The now lost about $500 in dining from our group and all agreed that we shall never go there again! This so-called manager also tried to suggest that it was the "LAW" that they had to charge corkage fees! REALLY? SO we all agree that this is NOT a place that is "user friendly!" Interestingly there were other issues also discussed and agreed to in advance. YET none of their staff remembered anything. One of these was about the menu. That ALL of us were to have Steak and chicken and NO shell fish because one of our group has a serious and life threatening ailment. They apparently never wrote anything about our reservation in spite of the 3 confirmations. 100% incompetent! Bye Bye never again!

The lady at the front desk quit her job (thank god, she was so rude). I love the design of the restaurant, and the food is amazing. Its all priced fairly. Some of the workers have a accent, so Im assuming theyre from somewhere else, and sometimes cant register english as fast as some customers would like. So dont get mad. And when the chefs cook in front of you, its so fun to watch! Theres this chef that I absolutely love. Hes good-humored, and cooks well. The sushi ranges from mediocre to wonderful. Depends on what you order.

DO NOT GO HERE! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! THE LADY AT THE FROST DESK IS DURING LUNCH HOURS IS INCREDIBLY RUDE! I ASKED WHAT WAS MOST POPULAR AND SHE TOLD ME SHES BUSY AND SO COME IN KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT. NO HELP WAS TOTALLY RUDE SHOULD NOT BE AT THE FRONT DESK OR TALKING WITH CUSTOMERS. Sushi was good but the service was terrible. Could not understand a word the waitress said. No problem with a small language problem easy to work through but even after our order was unsure she got it. When we went to pay there was an already completed evaluation form that said the waitress was excellent! Asked who I think is the owner, and she said she forgot but she will just copy on to ours! Wont being back there at all.

Do not come here for sushi. It is overpriced and disgusting. The inside of the rolls were filled with mush. Literally, mush. Gross mush. Paid $12-15 per roll for mushy and meatless rolls. Also ordered the spicy edamame which was flavorless and tasted like it was microwaved. Ate 2 bites of each roll and 5 pieces of edamame and had to throw the rest out because it was so bad. Will never be coming back here again.

The reviewers that talk about how rude the woman at the front is speak the truth. I have gone there 5 times (only because my daughter likes the food) every time its the same thing. Its almost like the business is a front for something else and they dont need the money. We have gotten a good chef but were lucky. The food is 2.5 out of a 5. They need some lessons in customer service.

The quality of the sushi is not what it used to be. The Teppanyaki is alright. It used to be our number 1 place but thats no longer the case. The customer service is not great either. We noticed there was hardly any people there. If you really want good Sushi go to Kenzos in yuba city. Its a little on the pricer side but its totally worth it.

The salad dressing was chunky, waitresses were rude I went from ordering a 25 dollar plate to a 12 because chefs choice in sashimi means you have absolutely no choice. The sushi chef was good and the only reason they got 3 stars

Food was mediocre definitely overpriced very bad customer service I was going to leave a tip until the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and demanded a tip. I recommend staying away from this place!!!

Open on Christmas. Service was very good. Godzilla roll was very good, but teriyaki chicken bento box dinner was about as good as a buffet line meal. Plenty of food, but moderate quality. Atmosphere is nice.

Charged me for food I didnt order, then argued with me. I thought about calling the police, but figured Id just not go back again. Friends have confirmed similar problems. Shame, because the sushi is good.

The waitress came once, never received the sushi order, never refilled drinks, dinner was bland - needed to ask for salt pepper and lemon and servings with the seafood were small. Will never come back.
