This is specifically for the lunch buffet as Ive had it many times. The lunch menu hasnt changed much at all in years which is fine as long as youre not here every week. Quality and taste of the food is good although the soup is usually nuclear reactor hot so be careful. Also during the lunch rush they often run out of some of the main chicken or beef entrees due to the limited selection and you find yourself waiting for resupplies. On our most recent visit nobody even came to our table to take our drink orders. Understandably they are busy during that time. Overall I am happy to return here for the tasty all-you-can-eat buffet, but knocking off one star for the average service and fairly common shortages.

I work near here and decided to go with a bunch of my co-workers to finally check this place out. For my first time trying Afghan food it was crazy good and I will be coming back again and again. Food was delicious and while there was not a whole lot of variety the items they had were really good. Chicken and beef, a roasted vegetable dish, rice and insanely good soup (make sure to try it with the sour cream) Service was friendly and quick with the check which is key for a work time buffet.

I agree with previous reviews on the great taste of their chicken kabobs and Kabali rice but the lamb is outstanding! Order lamb shank with Kabali rice (basmati rice with rasins, carrots and nuts?)...And the flat bread they serve is addicting when dipped in their chutney. Our 4 year old grandson, Max, loves it. He can empty a jar of the red (hot?) chutney in no time flat but the green is also good...homemade I believe. This family owned and operated establishment deserves 5 Stars!

Outstanding food and great atmosphere! Been going since they were at their old location near the lumberyard. Still hasnt lost the small business feel. The owner has always been so nice and my entire family loves the food. The lunch buffet is a good deal, but make sure you are hungry. Also good for my Indian vegetarian friends I often dine with. The food is similar to Persian, just with some additional flavors. We even take the grandparents and they love it.

Visit again since they were good on the first visit. But disappointed now, quality of food if fine, but the prices went up too much.....menu is similar ti their buffet, but definitely not the Price.....a plate of chicken kaboob(5-6pieces) is much higher than their buffet. ... Very good lunch buffet. They have limited items on buffet but they are delicious. I loved there juicy chicken kabob and lentils curry.

This has become a regular lunch spot for me and co-workers. Their food is fresh, succulent and tasty. Polite service, easy in and out. An absolute jewel in an otherwise sleepy part of town.If you like middle eastern style kebabs, but find the usual Persian offerings too bland for your tastes, I highly recommend this place. The cuisine is somewhere between Persian kebabs and Lahori (Punjabi) style food.

This place rocks! They have the best all you can eat buffet with all good ingredients. After eating a ton, you still feel like you can get back to work. Not all sick and ill like most buffets. Healthy Afghan cooking, I guess. There is a dish with some potatoes that is amazing. Also some kind of eggplant garlic thing. The best! Try it! And the waitresses are super kind and knowledgeable.

My favorite restaurant. I bring all my friends here. A group of us come regularly to enjoy salahwadoods kitchen. Had my wedding reception here. Just beautiful restaurant and delicious food and great staff that remember me ever time. Chef and owner greets me and my family and friends everytime. Must try once. You will fall in love with it. Great portions for reasonable amount.

I came here for their lunch buffet and it was awesome! The service was great and the restaurants atmosphere really adds to the ethnic richness of the dining experience. Their single dish portions could be bigger, and their lunch buffet could have a bit more variety, but aside from that, there is not much to complain about when it comes to this restaurant :)

I first became a fan back when they were in a small storefront place, surrounded by day-laborers looking for work next door to a lumberyard. They moved to where the Golden Spoon used to be, and have been going gangbusters ever since. The buffet is great, but I like to order off the menu. Their lamb shank, or Quibuli Pallow (sic) is the absolute best.

Amazing. I get SO excited every time I come here the food is just always that fantastic. Definitely order off the menu too, but I always tell people this is the best-tasting buffet Ive ever tried, so go for it when they have that set up. And its halal too? mashaAllah they really are a wonderful bunch here and do everything so well!

Yesterday me and my friends went to Chili Chutney Restaurant I wasnt surprised how the place looked 10/10 The waiter service was amazing The buffet was delicious The price was $45 for three which was fine with me. I recommend this place for everyone Especially at lunch time No buffet on Saturday and Sundays

Great for the lunch buffet but get here early or else they run out of food and are extremely slow to bring more out. So go towards more when they open rather than when the lunch is ending for the best buck for your value. Meats are marinated well and tasty.

The place is good but the service is so slow. It took them 55 min on slow day to brought us our food plus no plates and braed I was expecting more from this place. The bolani was great. AND ONE MORE THINK THE SHIRYAKH IS ACTUALLY NOT A REAL SHIRYAKH

I think it has moved two blocks from the address on here to an Albertsons shopping center. I ate the lunch buffet. It was pretty good. I eat buffets to try various things and there wasnt huge variety. Service was friendly and good.

This place is Open MONDAYS now. I always get the Chicken Kabob, very moist and tender, its a must have with the Quabali Rice. Lunch Buffet is only $8.99 so its a win - win.
