Kabuki is Japanese chain restaurant. *.Kabuki means Japanese traditional musical. Ka (Songs), Bu(Dance), Ki (Talent) We went to Kabuki at Irvine Spectrum and here was neat and clean. We ordered Calamari, Chicken Finger,and Yakibuta as appetizers. Yakibuta which cooked Pork Belly with green onions, onions, Jalapeno was very delicious and we could eat with mustard. I ordered Chirashi Sushi as Entree. It is Seasoned rice with assorted Sashimi. You can choose either miso soup or salad as side dish when you order Chirashi sashimi. Chilean sea bass was also very delicious. There are many kinds of rolls and sashimi you can enjoy, so you can try to order many different type of rolls whichever you like. Sashimis meaning came from "Chef poked small flags on flesh of each fish to explain fish name to guests" *.Sash(poke) , mi(flesh of the fish)

Horrible experience. The restaurant closes at 10 pm so we planned are movie accordingly. We got there at 9:20. The hostess said she couldnt seat us as they just gave last call for food??? Ive never heard of a restaurant doing this. I asked to talk to the manager and she reluctantly seated us and told us as long as we ordered in the next 2 minutes and were done eating in 20 minutes. The waiter was rude and annoyed we were there. The food was horrible and underdone. It looked like someone spit on one of the salad dishes. The food was horrible. The head waiter Alex sneered at us during our entire short dinner and kept announcing the time to us. What a nightmare!!!!! Please dont ruin your dining night by eating at this ridiculously rude and hostile place. :(

Kabuki satisfied my familys craving for sushi. We got brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries, shrimp and veggie tempura, dragon roll, vegas roll, and salmon onigiri. I was surprised how big the portions were! The dragon roll had basically the full eel. And I loved the cream cheese in the vegas roll. Service was fast and friendly. We sat at the patio, so we ordered hot tea since it was cold. It was nice to have a meal and people watch. If youre craving Japanese food, I recommend eating here.

This is a nice place to come if you happen to be at the Irvine Spectrum shopping, or even employees who work across the street. Its like most moderate sushi places in the area... a little Americanized, and not too fancy. But they do have great Happy Hour prices that includes drinks, appetizers, and sushi rolls. Its definitely a great value..although I wonder how it compares to the sushi joint right across the walkway next to Tender Greens?

Food was great. Ingredients were fresh and recipes were executed well. A little on the pricey side. The minus star is for the service. Granted, I only went there once, but our waiter seemed so...nonchalant. the amount of "I dont care" my server had was equal to those asian ladies in old school restaurants, which is NOT what I expect at an upper scale and modern establishements.

Fantastic place! The food is awesome, so FRESH! The service great! Cant beat the atmosphere. And the prices are unreal. I come here as often as I get the chance when traveling to irvine. The only draw back is the wait. Expect at least 30mins if you arrive after 6pm. But its worth it! Just grab a beer from the bar and chill with your new buddies on the stairs!

Food was ok but the temperature was off. Stuff that should have been hot came out warm and stuff that should have been cold came out room temperature. Service was good, however, and their menu was very big and had a good range of options. Pricing was a little high but portions were a good size. Overall decent but not good enough for me to try again.

At first, I was a little skeptical. This place seemed far too commercial, and so I thought it would be all about the California Rolls. Dont get me wrong. Kabuki has those too, but there were plenty of options. And, it was pretty tasty too. This place is a little pricey, but seems like it would be fun for happy hour.

Very nice...Been here a few times with my family. Good selection, fresh, good prices, friendly staff, prompt service and nice atmosphere. Also, good vegetarian options for those who dont like the fishy. Irvine Spectrum is a great location if you would like to do some window shopping or catch a movie.

I wish they had some sort of special. I poked around for deals (read my reviews, youll notice a pattern of how to save money) and I couldnt find any for the two times I came here. Nonetheless the food is decent but expensive. The sake was on point.

Just walked in and the hostess wouldnt acknowledge my existence. Maybe she was busy??? She seems to be organizing menu. But then a couple walks in behind me and she seats them right away. Was I too old? Dont like kids? What the ×&$€@£÷???

Good for happy hour, pricey otherwise. They boast about having stars like Kobe eat there, but the food is just subpar. It doesnt taste authentic at all. I wouldnt be surprised it its another Korean owned Japanese restaurant.

Beautiful presentation however I got sick after one peice of sashimi tuna as I swallowed it tasted off. I felt bad for 36 hours. GI discomfort with diarrhea. Everything else seemed okay. I am a sushi chef.

Stopped here after work. Not a bad place for me and the husband to grab a quick bite to eat. You can get it pretty healthy if you choose right. Service was great and they were on top of their game.
