Came here for their lunch special twice. I got the tempura + sushi/sashimi. Their lunch special comes with a small salad, miso soup, and rice. The tempura serving is a pretty good size with 2-3 pieces of shrimp, not too oily tasting and very crispy. Their sashimi is well plated, and has about 2 slices of 3 different fish, I unfortunately found one of the fish to be slightly chewier, it wasnt memorable as far as sashimi goes. The choice with lunch is 4 pieces California roll, 1 shrimp, 1 tuna and 1 salmon. I preferred it to the sashimi. Service was a little on the slow side. I eat a little slow and felt like they were kind of in a rush and presented me with my check before I requested it. Overall, its a nice place to go for lunch, but I dont really crave anything from them. Maybe Ill be back.

Although it has been a year since I had the opportunity to enjoy dining at Kyala the experience I had brings a smile to my face and a longing to return. I travel extensively and during my stays in S. CA. I discovered this great location by accident but it turned out to be a great fortune. The food is excellant and Yoshi and Hama introduced me to their specialties which hightened my experience. The service that Michiko oversees is exceptional and I would kid Yoshi as to who runs the show. I would also like to add that I had met many interesting and fun people at the susuhi bar and when I would take business guests they would always be impressed. I will look forward to my next time I get to visit and wish to say best wishes to Yoshi,Hama and Michiko from Houston, TX

Been here for lunch once and I have forever banned this place. It is clean, modern but so what! The sushi is by far the worst I have ever tried for one simple fact, the WASABI! I have been to numerous sushi restaurant this is by far the worst that a chef can mess up this little piece of fish. The amount of the wasabi that the chef slide under the sashimi are so much that it destroy your taste bud. I tried this place around 2 weeks it open and I dont think you can blame it on anything. Came in and got the lunch combo. GOOD amount of food for the price, got the chicken teriyaki with the sushi+sashimi, chicken was well prepared, the California roll could have been a bit more firm but all in all excellent food for the price. Staff is attentive and courteous, as well as polite. Surprised this palace isnt more crowded. Have gone back and will continue to do so.

Mmm, my favorite coffee shop in Diamond Bar - service is always awesome, and they have organic cream/half-and-half for your beverages. I always get the iced coffee and it is a perfect blend, not being way too strong or way too weak. The place has high ceilings and you can come here to do some work or to just relax a bit before you go off with your day.

Yoshi and Michiko are warm and friendly with everyone. Yoshi makes sure the fish is fresh and the service is exceptional. Whether you eat sashimi or prefer your food "cooked" LOL, you will enjoy the food. Sometimes there may be a small wait, but its worth every moment! This husband and wife restaurant is a is a rare pearl in the Diamond Bar area.

This is a nice Japanese family owned restaurant. The cuts of fish are good and the service is also good. Its just a little overpriced, I would understand if it were port-side and the fish couldnt get any fresher, but thats obviously not the case.

I use to frequent this sushi restaurant all the time a few years back when I went to DBHS. Always received great service. The restaurant is very cozy and always clean. Large selection of food other than sushi and also well priced.

Much like Rokuan in Chino Hills, another wonderful sushi restaurant holed up in an everday, garden variety neighborhood shopping center. Check it out! The toro(fatty tuna) was quite memorable!
