Im sad that they barely opened this place AFTER I moved away from Irvine :( I came here on a Sunday and I luckily just beat the rush and the horrendous line. Everything is made to order so there is a little wait to get your ice cream. There is a pretty wide range of flavors, toppings, add ons, etc. The process goes as follows: 1) Choose a size (small to large) 2) Choose an ice cream base- premium, organic (add. cost) , or sorbet 3) Choose flavors and toppings- extra charge for add ons I decided to do a small organic black sesame ice cream with oreo pieces mixed in and it was delicious. It kind of tasted like a cookies and cream version of black sesame haha The only thing I did not really like about Creamistry was that it was a little pricey for the size you get. My order came out to be around $6 for a small, but that was also because I did not know that they had additional costs for the organic base and the oreos. Other than that, I would definitely come back when Im in the area again :)

Personally, I think its a little overhyped. As an icecream place itself, it definitely does surpass most other places so I give it a 4! And I mean, who doesnt want to watch their own icecream get made? Its kinda chilly in there (obviously) so take a jacket. Or they have some seating outdoors but it can get REALLY crowded. My personal favorite is the THAI TEA icecream. Taste like straight up thai tea melting in your mouth. Oh and the consistency of the icecream! Definitely sets creamistry apart. Usually Im a slow icecream eater so halfway through my icecream turns into water which I find really annoying... But creamistrys icecream stays nice and cold and SOLID for such a slow eater like me. So for those of you who hate the icecream juice, creamistry is the place!

I happened to catch this location just after it opened on a Wednesday, so there was virtually no line. So far, so good. Ice cream came out to over $12 for 2 smalls, with a $1 off coupon (from Yelp)... oh thats right this place is really expensive! But the good news is that its also delicious and amazing. I got the Pineapple Dole Nitro something or other. It reminds me of of a Dole Whip from Disneyland, only twice the price :/ Anyway, the staff is friendly and skilled at making the ice cream, and Im glad its near work, but far enough away to make it convenient to head to very often. Im certain Ill end up there again eventually.

This place is yummy and super fun! It gets busy especially in the evenings during the summer! You get to build your own ice cream by choosing the types of milk and flavors and ingredients that go into it! This place has been great for us as my little one avoids eggs, dairy and Gluten. They make us a sorbet base or we use the coconut milk, then add a simpler flavor like vanilla. We stick with the fresh fruit and avoid the typical candy add ins which may have potential allergens for her, and it still is quite delicious! A bit on the pricey side for ice cream but definitely a fun place with good service and good quality product!

Came here yesterday and ordered the tiramisu ice cream with oreos mixed it. YUM! My friend got the nutella. I think I liked his a little bit more but there was an overwhelming number of choices of flavors. It was a bit pricey but they gave a huge portion even for a small. Better than normal ice cream because it is so much creamier (has to do with the liquid nitrogen science they use). Staff was super friendly too. Place is clean and opened till 11pm, which is great for my late night cravings! Will be back whenever I make the trip to Irvine :D

Overpriced for what you get but they do use liquid nitrogen to make your ice cream so that probably messes with their overhead a lot. The ice cream itself is very smooth because of the process that they do to make it. Be warned that it is also very rich so the smaller sizes may actually be a benefit. Ive had good and just okay experiences here. Im not sure what causes the inconsistencies in the taste because I tend to get the same things when I go places and here is no exception. My favorite is the nutella one.

Just wow!!!! what else can I say.. but when you walk and get in line.. it feels like a scene from back to the future. my favorite is the captain crunch ice cream. Wow! I havent had capn crunch cereal in a long time and it definitely hit the spot!!!! There is tables and chairs inside and outside this ice cream shop. Will I return here in the future? Oh you bet your dollar I will be. Of course I wish they had this in Northridge where I live. Oh well. Til next time. I will have to try either Tiramisu or Pistachio.

Its like a higher end version of Coldstone but twice as much. A small 2 scoop which when mixed looks like one scoop is $6 with tax. Add a waffle bowl and one topping and its over $8. The Nitrogen based shake will set you back $8 with tax. Probably worth trying once but dont think i will be back as the tables and floors were not cleaned and the place is really loud with banging metal pots and people talking loud over the loud noise. Also there arent any kids sizes so the adults seem to share the ice cream.

I got to try 4 different flavors. Its not only great to see them make your ice-cream right in front of you, but all 4 flavors tasted amazing. They are extra creamy and very luscious. I couldnt stop eating, but I finally had to when my stomach couldnt take in anymore ice-cream. I do have to say its not cheap compared to other dessert places, but you get what you pay for. Their ice-cream is dense yet luxurious and buttery, its not anything like Ive tasted before.

This is an expensive but very fun and delicious ice cream experience. Got a green tea ice cream here and it was awesome, including the free waffle to go with it. Bummer you cant mix ice cream flavors together, but they have a cool set of toppings to add-in. Worth at least one trip, especially if you have kids and want a reason for them to listen to you talk about science for more than 5 seconds before they get bored and want to go play angry birds instead.

Eh I think Cauldron makes this type of ice cream way better. The only thing though is that theres typically a wait there. Here Ive never had to wait in a line. I think that this place could definitely improve. The service wasnt at all special and the atmosphere is definitely not as great as Cauldron. Because of that Id have to say that they might be a tad overpriced for the comparison.

Brilliant place for ice creams, they have the best ice creams. The ice creams are completely made from scratch even the atmosphere of this place is like that of a lab, you can see the nitrogen gas rising from the mixer tops. Flavors are great and the prices are reasonable. The only con was it wasnt kept clean. Especially the serving window. The table was messy and it was wet.
