Living in HB and within bicycling distance of downtown, I like to go out and watch the game in a bar. Although Im not 22 years old and built like a surfer, I always feel welcome at Sharkeez. Contrary to some negative reviews, I think they are making some of the best Mexican food downtown. Its better than Wahoos for sure. Its best to read the daily specials and know that you order everything from the bar. Ive had some surly servers, but 95% of the time they are great. And whoever trains the staff has instilled in them a militant dedication to bussing the tables and keeping the place trash free. The weekend breakfast deals are no-brainer. And if you want to watch your favorite team, just ask them to tune in to the game. Also, no better place to watch the Final Four because the DJ does a great job of entertaining instead of listening to the commercials on TV. And as far as checking IDs remember this is HB and that means HB cops. Id check everyone at the door if I ran the place as well. Hate to lose that liquor license.

If you are looking for great food and superb service, this place is for you. Whether you like the specials of the day, or ordering something on the menu, Sharkeez is tough to compare to anyone on Main Street. I have always enjoyed the tacos as well as BBQ chicken salad. The chips and salsa bar are always available, whether you are sitting out in the bar area, or outside. One of my favorite people there is Jeremy. He is always attentive and helps out with whatever me and my family needs when we are there. He does this not only with me, but I see him do this with other customers as well. Its refreshing to see this kind of customer service. Yesterday I came down for the Wednesday burrito special and wasnt sure which toppings to get. He explained the different ones and made suggestions as well. I remember back when Vincent & Nikki worked there and they had the same attitude....the customer always comes first. Give this place a try. You will be coming back everytime you are in the area.

If I could rate it less I would. I went outside to pay more money for my parking and the bouncer wouldnt let me back in. Even though I had been there for hours with a group of friends and paid the cover charge that they originally told us we wouldnt have to pay when we reserved. They wouldnt even allow me to get my jacket and it was freezing outside! Another friend came out for a smoke and they refused to let him in too! Another friend almost got kicked out too for arguing with the employees to let me back in! Ruined our night! I will never waste another dime there ever again. Save yourself the hassle and dont go. Even if you leave for a smoke break after 11, they wont let you back in. Oh, almost forgot to mention that after all this two girls walked up to the bouncer showing cleavage and he leery them in no problem and there was a line of people waiting to go in!

So Im not the biggest fan of this place, let me start off by saying that. Ive only ever been here at night when its just a bar that attracts the biggest douches and hoes in HB, far too many bros and bro-hoes. That being said, I came here on a Sunday early afternoon for some brunch and wow was I pleasantly surprised. I ate on the patio, which was a very nice change of pace from their packed inside. I ordered some steak and eggs and it was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly! Our waitress was very attentive and nice and the crowd on the patio was normal, nice people. The breakfast meal even included endless mimosas for an hour. At about $10 for my meal including mimosas it was just a steal! I will not be coming back for the bar, Ive quite outgrown that crowd, but I will definitely be back for some Sunday funday food!

Bouncer, Troy, would not allow us in because 1 person in our group had shorts on that did not go above his knees. This 1 person, is 5 foot 7 inches and weighs 212 lbs as he is a gym nut. His height and size does not allow him to purchase shorts that are above his knees. Add to that the fact that we were there 1 month earlier with a member in our group wearing shorts below his knees and we still got in, I cannot help but conclude that the security staff does not have a set dress code they abide by, but rather pick and choose who we allow in. We ended up going to a bar called Killarneys and racked up a tab just short of $450. Money that could have gone to this establishment had it not been for the treatment we were given by the greeting staff.

Came here on a Friday night and the place was hopping. If youre into the bar/club scene, then this place is for you. The bartenders are funny and poured some stiff drinks. I had like 5 Redbull vodka drinks and was pretty buzzed by the end of the night. If you check in with your Yelp app, you get a free guacamole and chip appetizer. I would skip this if I were you unless youre really hungry and want to take advantage of the free offer. It was really bad. Other appetizers werent that great. Overall, I just wasnt impressed with the apps. I would come back for the drinks though and if I just want to hang out. There is some parking close by and its free after the late morning wee hours.

The location is great, the drink menu is awesome (they make them strong) the food was great as well. The only reason im giving it 4 stars is because you have to serve yourself if you sit inside. If your out side you are taken care of but you cant order any big drinks in glass. So when we needed more alcohol we had to make sure someone saved our seats. Slowed us down a bit. overall I will be retuning to this place again. I highly recommend things off the brunch menu. Had an amazing omelette. this was before the alcohol so you know its legit .

This place has the drunk, young people. They can get crazy as drunk people do. From people throwing up to dancing anywhere and everywhere, this might be your thing but Ive never felt the need for it. The front is open to Main Street with a bouncer there. The food was really good. The jalapeño burger was delicious with its Chipotle-ish sauce, the fajitas looked great, the shrimp tacos looks decent enough. The alcohol wasnt bad, though maybe a bit weak. That might be necessary with all the drunkies that attend this bar.

The liveliest bar in Huntington Beach! Happy hour until 7pm, with food and drink specials. However unlike the other bars in the area, they dont let you order the large sized beers out on the sidewalk seating. Minus one star because they dont have BlueMoon, and their beer specials are only for their light beers, not even regular Budweiser for example. The street corn is good. The enchiladas are good. The Chili Rellenos are great. They also have a complimentary chips and salsa bar inside.
