I used to work there and first time I ate the food it gave me the runs. Still ate it though because it the what they offer to a broke mofo... Downstairs bathroom flooded next week and couldnt use it. Ended up quitting because I didnt think This was good for my mental health. Went to get my tips the day before Thanksgiving and the owner Duff told me to wait til he slowed down.he slowed down then he said he couldnt find my tips.i texted chef Ivan and he told me where it was.this guy said come next time even though he had no one at the bar.i told him I need to buy food and I needed my tips for thanksgiving. Looked at my like I was there to cause a issue. Finally they other buff owner dude came walking by and I told him if he could get it and he said no problem because hes understands I had worked for him before and was entitled to what I earned. Finally got it and he gave it to me . Place is actually cool but when someone isnt Aunthenic like that tall goofy mofo named Duff.then thats when you outta feel bad for the guy because he didnt have something to look forward to on the holidays except being in a bar which probably will be his downfall.his own stake in the bar. Anyway , Food is good when it comes to certain plates and the have some good combos.huge t.vs. Yes yes.....but watch out for the bartender named Duff who is a partial owner.he may well be not giving you a righteous pour when it comes to your drink as he really didnt want to give me tips I earned from 3 weeks ago. Awkward awkward awkward. ...because I wanted to go back and play pool and bring all my Co workers and friends. But this guy literally had me sitting at the bar starring at him doing nothing... O and when I called his name to say if he could get the tips for me.... Just ignored me....Deep down he is most like a white supremacists if you ask me. #1 ignored me.didnt wanna give me my money to buy groceries for my family as I told him thats the reason I needed my tips that day.say b4 thanksgiving. If your mexican and you see that Goofball Duff,do yourself a favor and just go to the next bar as he may not really be welcoming your kind at the end of the day.

Ive spent a lot of my time here but not exactly from my will. I use to audit this place for alcohol (ever seen the show Bar Rescue?) and Ive found nothing wrong with their cleanliness. Their organization of the place is the best they can do with the limited space they have. The only thing I really liked about the bar was when it was 8am and the place was empty. Its when youre stopping by at night and your shoulder to shoulder with some narcissistic jerk whos unsafely tossing a dark across the room hoping to hit a board then asking you, "who are you bro? Did you grow up here??" Yeah I did, my entire life in fact. Then you discover no one there is from the beach area and youre just moving through a sweaty cesspool of valley beach wannabes. Then once you manage your way outside you catch some drunkard relieving himself on the side of the building while his buddy does look out. No staff to be seen. Gotta love Hermosa. Apart from the scene this bar likes to attract, the only reason I ever dare to go there is because the bar staff are great at quickly responding to calls. If you want a beer, theyve got you. Infact, out of all the Hermosa Pier bars, they are the best at this, and so I tip them good. Just know what youre getting into when you make it inside.

The atmosphere is top notch! The place is clean and has a cool layout! Lots of T.V.s pool tables. Best reason to go is they host ALL the UFC fights and door fee is only $5! The food price is reasonable (SHOTS OUT AS THIS PLACE MAKES THE ABSOLUTE BEST CALAMARI ON GODS GREEN EARTH!) Id recommend the place highly! It doesnt feel snooty-n-suity... a nice REAL cool place. Will be back all year,,, FOR EVERY UFC FIGHT! BTW: Those waitresses... really work for there dough!

Very pour service. Our waitress was very inattentive, she spent most of the time with her back to her section. It was very hard to get her attention. She mixed up drink orders and forgot orders as well. The location has a good style to it and was clean. Drinks were decently made, the food looked good but we only had appetizers which were well portioned for the price.

Cool place to go and hangout with friends. They serve a few craft beers and most types of liquor. They have pool tables, dart boards and shuffle board. Great place for a late night snack and beers. It isnt very crowded during the week obviously but its gets decently packed on weekends. Open late. Parking is not an issue on weekdays but it can be on weekends.

Drinks are cheaper than almost any other bar in the area, lots of beer choices and mixed drinks. There are tons of tvs around for sports events along with lots of seating. The only downside is it is the Hotspot for post high school locals still in the south bay, and it becomes packed quickly and noisy. But its a pretty good dive bar

Great food, great staff and great happy hour deals. If you enjoy shooting pool or playing darts, I highly recommend coming to The Underground! Fun decent-sized divey bar with a great atmosphere. For sports games, hanging out with friends and any random week night, the Underground never disappoints.

One of my favorite bars in Hermosa with a very young and fun crowd. Lots of space and service is pretty quick. A short line does start to form as it gets later into the night, but its tends to move pretty quickly. Ive never had any food here, but its great for a night out with friends.

One of my favorite bars to hit when I am in hermosa. young crowd, getting crazy on a saturday night, much like college. Table games, pool, shuffle board and a big bar. Its attached to Chelsea bar which is another great place to hit. Especially for football games during the day!

Great place to go. Good food and friendly staff make this the place to be. The bartender was good and said the Hamburgers were great. She was correct. 1/2 pound of Heaven. Drinks are hand poured and done well. This is the place to go to have a good time.

The place to watch Manchester United games. Call ahead to make sure they will be open for early games. Los Angeles supporters group hangs out here. Staff doesnt seem to be happy working early for games though. Be nice to them when theyre crabby.
